"highly hardened steel" isn't very specific... Up to 1400 mpa according to this but I don't think it's the same, though it's more than what I used in my blog.

If there are I wouldn't be the one to ask since I'm not super veresed with our system on the technical side of things.
Hey, Qawsedf do you have the ability to unlock pages or add to locked pages? It was agreed that Saitama's AP should be the Serious Punch + CSRC and I'm trying to add a link of the CSRC calc to Saitama's AP section. I've tried asking through the request thread, but never got a response so I was wondering if you could help me out.
Does Pralaya qualify for void manipulation and NEP 1 or 2?
    Qawsedf234
    Qawsedf234
It would be a similar case yes. NEP 2 is a franchise dependent rating more or less. DC and Marvel require representing their respective Overvoids to get that rating.

But marvel doesn't have the concept of Overvoid.

It has the concept of a greater void that encompasses adjacent Multiverses like with DC. While different, the general concept is the same for both.
Hey Qawsed, I haven't seen any but I was wondering if there were any horror discussion threads currently?
Can I get permission to comment on this thread talking about upscaling?
    Axxtentacle
    Axxtentacle
I want to say that if this happens, downscaling would have to be axed as well because it’s the same idea, just negative instead of positive. I don’t plan on saying much more than that. I’d also mention that we accept a 7.5x AP difference as enough to one shot.

Seems like the thread is generally against Damage, but if you feel like you van still make a solid point go ahead with it.

I commented anyway and Damage said my comment was fine. I don’t really plan on saying anything more than what I did. I was told I non-staff could comment as long as they’re productive and on-topic, so I at bare minimum try to be that.
Hi, So several of us brought up this when we were discussing my sandbox for Anime profiles for only Saitama and Boros.
    5846564-screenshot_2017-05-11-13-33-56.jpg

Would you be able to translate this? This databook relates to the anime so I think it's acceptable to use of that profile only. While there is the actual translated version, the translated version has been a good source of controversy, so it's better if we can just translate it raw.

    • In order to oppose Boros' ultimate technique the Collapsing Star Roaring Canon which boasts enough power to blow away a [星], what Saitama pulled out was a Serious Punch. Hello, in a thread from 2019, it was stated that there were issues with the giant snowman calc. What was wrong with it, and was it ever recalced as far as you know?
    Qawsedf234
    Qawsedf234
We ended up moving away from KE calcs without either canon speed numbers or examples of environmental destruction. Mostly because full body IE would only work from entire body rams and not punches or attacks
Hey Qawsed, I think I've identified a problem with the calc whose volume and width you used to get the currently accepted ends for Gouketsu's shockwave calc. The 22322 (256 px) meter diameter that calc used to find the original results is only the very middle-section of the deformed cloud, the surrounding rings are not considered even though they were broken up by the shockwave. From what I can see, the total deformed area is more like 90,000 (1000 px~) meters in width, especially because the leftmost rings go off panel.

Is the discrepancy in volume and diameter legit? From what I can see, this point has never been raised before. I think the cloud split should be recalced with the adjusted diameter that includes all the rings that were created by the shockwave. Maybe we should have some function that works like hollowness because the remaining rings of cloud could have potentially been more or less "passed" over by the shockwave.

Following up here. We've been debating who scales to Gouketsu recently, which is why I looked at his feat and saw what I understood to be a discrepancy
    Qawsedf234
    Qawsedf234
Well you'd have to ask the original calc maker why they did it the way they did. I just adjusted it with our new calc system. But I know that using the entire ring is not a good way to do so without first separating the mass, since it'll overinflate the result since it would assume the entire mass of clouds moved that far that fast.

As to who scales, there's no solid evidence for anyone other than Orochi. Anyone else is guess work.
    Ourosboros
    Ourosboros
I agree with both your points. I think the calc should be redone with the entire width according to the new calc system and accounting for "hollowness" (many cloud rings were left over, so the deformed clouds are only a certain fraction of the affected area). I will ask the original calc maker about the logic before I go down this path.

However, I should say that Gouketsu said "there are more monsters that are... easily as strong as [him]" in the MA, according to page 38 of the season 2 guidebook. If that's a valid source, then I would say that "more" means at least three monsters should scale... although it's obviously quite debatable who those three would be. If we accept this statement as canon we'll have to resort to guesswork but I don't think it will be impossible. Orochi should upscale, of course. I think the other two we werev considering the most were EC and Overgrown Rover, since the power of other strong cadres might not have been as evident to someone in Gouketsu's position (ENW was locked up, I don't think Black S was going around and showboating his abilities to everyone). It's an ongoing discussion.

Lastly, if using the total width (of all the rings) to find the speed would overinflate the results, how would you suggest we determine speed? We can't just stick with the old velocities, can we?
(Hey Qawsed, here's the Beefcake calc)

Leading off the recent Jet Drive Arrow calc, I am revisiting several dragon level calculations. First, I would like to approach Beefcake’s equation by revisiting his height. The groundwork is already laid here- we have the panel with pixels counted and a low-end of pulverization and a high-end of vaporization. The only question remaining is… how big is Beefcake really?

While the OPM data book gives a straight answer and says Beefcake is 270 meters, Beefcake’s height in the manga, anime and webcomic never approaches that figure. Instead, Beefcake normally appears to be several km tall. But on Matthew Schroeder’s suggestion, I will recalc Beefcake’s height as it appears on the page where the feat is shown.

    h9taKG2-5zcJ_Ee4aFMHbznDBVfWQAM_d_-DaWuwgRNitmYv0lik5IF1X9yhtJR1GdBQXYSQOxjT9EzmF5tZoKZOt-QH2roVehn2TnG9e3ECkjVX-AZpNGL6-58-A9mlnw2PAj0o

Since the buildings in the topmost panel are not detailed enough to accurately gauge their height, I will scale Beefcake’s wrist to the bit of collapsing building in the bottom left panel.
    Building = 68 pixels/ 4 stories = 17 pixels per story, story = 4.3 m, (0.253m per pixel)
Wrist in lower panel = 275 pixels, 69.5m
Okay, now let’s take that height into the topmost panel. These pixels for Beefcake’s height and the crater width+ depth have already been measured, but I will measure them myself just to be sure and scale them to the wrist.

Wrist in upper panel = 24 pixels, 69.5m (2.895m per pixel)
    Height= 350 pixels, 1013.3 m
    Crater width= 389 pixels, 1126.2m
    Crater height= 275 pixels, 796.1m

And to double check the height, I’m going to scale two buildings in the left side of the top panel (since these are relatively clear of the blast and surrounded by many other buildings), a short one and a tall one. If they have normal building heights, this should indicate we're relatively close to the mark.

    Short building= 2 pixels, 5.8m
    Tall building= 9 pixels, 26.1m

The short building is between one and two stories tall, and the tall building is about 6 stories tall. Looks good, now we will move forward with the given crater depth and width.

I will use the ellipsoid formula and divide by half to account better for the dimensions of the crater’s odd cylindrical shape. The sides are steep but seem to quickly curve into a flattish surface which is lost to light, so a cone formula would miss much of the hole volume. Given the unclear shading, the crater may also go deeper than we can see.

    4/3πabc=(4/3 x π x 56310 x 56310 x 79610)/2 ≈5.28685×10e14cc

    LE (pulverization)= 2.64343x10e14 x 214.35 = 1.1332363×10e17 joules or 27 megatons, 7-B

    HE (vaporization)= 2.64343x10e14 x 27500 = 1.45388375×10e19 joules or 1623 megatons, High 7-A

M3X commented on the blog and said the crater measurements were a little off... so I recalced everything below "wrist in lower panel= 275 pixels, 69.5m". I apologize for bothering you again, but I would appreciate it if you could replace everything below that point with the following:
    __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Okay, now let’s take that height into the topmost panel. These pixels for Beefcake’s height and the crater width+depth have already been measured, but I will measure them myself just to be sure and scale them to the wrist.

EDIT: M3X pointed out that the depth and height used above do not cover the full extent of the crater. Based on his suggestions, I have tried to triangulate the depth of the crater. The width and depth numbers given below are derived from this new method.
