  • Hey Chariot, I am trying to get into JoJo, but I don't know where to start.

Should I start with the Anime, or should I start with the manga?
    Chariot190
    Chariot190
Anime for part 1, anime for part 2, manga for part 3, manga for part 4, anime for part 5, manga for part 6

Some seasons better than others, part 1 anime has cut content from the manga, but it's short and what is there is close enough, part 2 anime is based tho. Part 3 anime is exceptionally bad, awful pacing, to give an idea, Part 4/5/6 all have 38 episodes while Part 3 has 48 episodes, despite the fact it's like 35% shorter than all of them in the manga, they extended arcs and made it draw on. Just go with manga.
Part 4 anime idk, theyre kinda even, like manga though.

Part 5 anime is basically a perfect adaptation, best season.

Part 6 anime is dogshit, like it's bad part 6 manga is mid af too but shrug

Though when it comes to the manga, it's mostly fan translations so it isn't perfect, and I've found that out the hard way, which is why I've combed over the raws for CRT's because a lot of lines get tweaked but, for reading purposes instead of battle boarding bullshit? It's totally sufficient.

I'd also recommend reading Another Day once you finish Part 4, Purple Haze Feedback once you finish Part 5, GioGio 2 once you finish Clash and Talking head, and Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak for spinoff material (before you start part 4).

Part 7 is a soft reboot and takes place in an alternate world it's also the best part by a hilarious amount and has actual decent writing
Part 8 is a direct sequel as direct as taking place 110 years later can be anyway
Stepping away from that crudshow of a match for a moment, well... Chariot. Um... Is it possible that you could have me a list of calcs that needs to be done for the Jojo-Verse? Wanna help the verse for a bit by making a few calcs for it, but I don't know where to start.
    Chariot190
    Chariot190
I could just add you to chat tbh, you pretty chill. I'll see what others think. But there's quite a bit that need to be done, Part 6 in particular.
Ill DM you a list if the former falls through.
Hello, i just wanna ask you some question.

Can you explain what exactly happened in this scene? I don't really understand what the f is going on there. Thank youu
    Chariot190
    Chariot190
Kira activates Bites the Dust, blows away time, returns back in time 1 hour as that 1 hour was blown away. Is how it's explained, basically time travel via blowing off a chunk of time.
He's hallucinating in that specific scene though, he just thinks he activated Bites the Dust, in reality he was killed before he got it off as Star Platinum crippled him, and thus couldn't press the detonation switch, before having his face torn off by being run over by an ambulance, and he's just going through denial, which he finds out a few minutes later
Hey, I just wanted to ask a question about HF blades.

I get that more layered armor is better at stopping the blade vs flesh (considering that breaking an HF blade with pure fleshy hands is considered physics defying).

But if an HF blade can cut through one wall of a layered armor with a single cut, how come it can’t cut through all of them in that one swing if one wall seemingly puts up no resistance?
    Chariot190
    Chariot190
Most ceramics in MGS are actually composite armors. But mass also matters, though, it has to be real ******* thick, for example, Metal Gear Ray is made up of CNT fibers and composite ceramic armors, and Raiden can still bisect that mf.
    JJSliderman
    JJSliderman
So, if an opponent had like universal durability, but no armor.

    Would they be one-cut.
    Chariot190
    Chariot190
If they don't resist the funny meme stuff yeah.

You're better off having tier 9 CNT composite interlaced armor than having tier 3 natural durability.
Yo! I have a question about the Street Fighter verse:

I skimmed through some of the profiles, and saw that the most (if not all), of the characters have Damage Boost and Status Effect Inducement.

Does Damage Boost come from their Super Attacks (aka their most powerful moves)? And are you able to show me an example of an SF character stunning their opponent if possible?
    Chariot190
    Chariot190
Damage Boost I'm like 99% sure is just from charged attacks (Think like how Samus can charge her power beam in smash bros or the games or something), hence giving the damage a boost.
From SF6 beta (It's in like every game thou) obviously different characters can do it in different ways, some just hit you with a certain technique that dazes you, some can do it with energy attacks, some hax, etc, sometimes it's due to a dizzy bar buildup, sometimes it's due to lack of meter, etc. But basically, everyone has at least some type of method to do it.
    RandomGuy2345
    RandomGuy2345
    Thanks!

    I'll keep this in mind.
    Chariot190
    Chariot190
Oh, some games have a built in mechanic that can power up attacks for a short time too, but that's a temporary boost and needs meter and can't be spammed or used right away.
Hows the ender lilies progress going?

    I've been playing it again
    Chariot190
    Chariot190
Just need a speed value tbh.

    They're 9-A, minus God Tier.

    Chariot190
Thought I posted, Yukako is out of date, she's extremely deep into 9-B, and is likely pretty well into 9-A with Class M with tens of meters of range (eng translation typo'd her range).

Jolyne match I'll look, her updates probably won't effect much, if not gut her.
Hi. I wanna ask about infinite speed giorno. How giorno have infinite speed?
    the_doctor
    the_doctor
thank you Chariot. Many Indonesians think ger speed is infinite.
    Chariot190
    Chariot190
I can see why, it's important to note though that the statement saying GER's stats are >>>>>>>> everything else, also specifically clarifies it's talking about his ability, not physical movement speed.
That is why we only use it for RTZ's speed, not GER's own speed, who we just upscale massively off King Crimson as GER is so fast that King Crimson can't actually see him move (which would still technically make GER the fastest Stand physically in normal circumstances, but that's just high into MFTL, not Infinite).
    the_doctor
    the_doctor
I know. Many person on Indonesian think ger speed is infinite on physics.
Yo, meant to send this some time ago but you good if I update you here on the jojo revisions i mentioned? Or is there a discussion thread i should post stuff in instead?

Also how goes the Metal Gear stuff?

It's always been At least MFTL, not +.
And it scales to everything, including movement, though he only can move within 2m of Jotaro so it isn't exactly relevant.

    Wait seriously? Huh, that's unexpected
Hi, can I borrow your calc for future revision? I try to rework the verse and it can merge CoTM and RoTN together due to the interview stuff.

    Of course.
I've been meaning to actually finish that tbh, I have sandboxes laying around for the mutt, fast dude I forgot the name of and Zangetsu.

I wrote up a reply, a substantial one.
But then I realized half of what I was saying isn't even on the profile so kinda hard to actually discuss it, and there's probably gonna be a slight upgrade upgrade in the future anyway whenever the big boy drops (idk based on some lines about material toughness and a potential feat, I got some numbers at like 300ish kt (though I've also been looking at a potential higher feat but I'm unsure on that one yet, can't find values online to calc it), so who knows, no promises for that).

It's no secret that I've been working extensively on a massive MGS CRT since May that covers absolutely everything ever, from gameplay, codecs, and more to even guides like the Piggyback's, interviews and artbooks. (Armor has also been helping).

I figured probably best to just wait whenever that gets finished (I've been putting MGS3 stuff into albums the past few days), unless you people don't mind me spouting a bunch of shit that isn't citated yet, because Blade Wolf is missing a handful of abilities and looking over that thread, there seems to be contention regarding "skill", amps and intellect stuff.
Hell I'm gonna toss every skill feat/statement in a blog as well, literally just so people can just skim through that and we never have to deal with this again.

    Chariot190
Oh, I actually just finished going through Part 1 for a Jonathan overhaul, as well as a Dio overhaul and the Hamon page (Took awhile due to references).
Not really done yet tho, hell just spent like 20 minutes ******* with image tabber code for Dio, finally got it to function though (Still need to make renders to replace placeholder images).

I could debate a little but I'm not sure if doing so would be best, given I'm working on some new stuff for them as we speak, though it also won't be done for a bit so eh?
    First_Witch
    First_Witch
Its up to you, cant force ya either way. Just thought it would be nice for to give your input, considering that the debatte was pretty onesided
    Chariot
But i wanna infer something that you have said before.
You said that go beyond might not be able to affect magenta because magenta has redirected spin before. But i dont think its gonna be like that.
The spin that gyro used back then wasnt an infinite spin, it was a normal spin.
Infinite spin was the perfected spin that reached the power of gravity that was able to surpass the dimensional barriers. I think go beyond spin is on that level because it also is on the same state, as rai said "it can surpass walls, and it can surpass logic of this world" (if i remember correctly).
So at the first place 20th century boy has never been shown to be able to survive from gravity or something similar as powerful as those stuffs.
Correct me if im wrong though
    WinsonDetamp
    Chariot190
    Chariot190
Go Beyond is, unfortunately, not even remotely close to being on that level. Go Beyond in layman's terms is just "Nothing/Void+Spin energy".

Rai did indeed say that Go Beyond can "pass" through anything, but that wasn't because of the spin per say though that is a factor (Don't forget, normal Spin can do that too, Gyro and Johnny both utilize Spin transferal many times through Part 7, Spin, much like Hamon, can pass through objects. Phasing through LT also isn't exclusive to Act 4/BB, they just do so while also negating its effects and can so physically, such an example would be Johnny's Act 2 spin imbued holes entering Love Train in the manga, they just couldn't inflict lasting damage or bypass the damage transfer, but that doesn't mean a type of spin below Infinite Rotation can't do the wacky phasing and dimensionality stuff too, it just ultimately doesn't matter - Funnily enough, The Holes have a lot in common with Go Beyond, both being empty spaces that spiral down to infinity while being imbued with spin energy), but also in part to Go Beyond being a void, similar to that of Cream. Because Go Beyond doesn't have a physical composition, it can selectively choose to phase through anything without damaging it (See when it phased through Norisuke to blow apart WoU who was within him, for example), or outright annihilate it the same way Ice does for example (See it voiding out a wall, vending machine, etc).

And "it can surpass the logic of the world", is indeed something that they say (Specifically in the Ch108 tailpiece in the volume release), but that isn't talking about some hyper special or specific spin exclusive to Go Beyond, it's saying Spin, in general, is something that surpasses the logic of the world, and because Go Beyond's bubble doesn't actually exist, all that's left is a formless Spin Energy, thus enabling it to bypass Calamity as all that is left is the spin, thus the Calamity can't stop it.

If I had to give a analogy, imagine Gyro Zeppeli throws a steel ball imbued with spin at WoU. It would be effected by the Calamity as the spin is imbued in a conduit (the steel ball), that Calamity can effect. But if, for argument's sake, Gyro threw his Steel Ball imbued with the Spin, but that steel ball didn't actually exist, thus effectively Gyro tosses a sphere of literal nothingness imbued with the Spin at WoU. WoU wouldn't be able to stop it, as the Spin itself surpasses it and thus Calamity can't hinder the Spin itself, and because there's nothing for WoU to effect as it doesn't exist, Gyro's nonexistent spin imbued steel ball would slam WoU in his face.
That's basically Go Beyond, pure Spin energy imbued to actual nonexistent nothingness.

Go Beyond has a few quirks to it that make it quite good and potent, some of which is because of spin, some of which is because it doesn't exist, but in terms of "Spin Potency", it's not exactly comparable to the Infinite Rotation, it's probably closer to Johnny's Act 2 or 3 or something.
Though hopefully Araki can clear up some of this at a later time, because while I say this, there is still a few gaps in information that would be nice to know that not even the raw japanese text explains in a sufficient manner.

Anyway I hoped I explained it well enough, I might have ****** up somewhere, I've been up for like 20 hours.
Also yes, this does indeed imply what you think it does, we'll add that when we done Part 7 CRT (Finishing up the LS CRT as we speak, writing out the draft).
    Chariot190
    Chariot190
Though that isn't to say Go Beyond isn't a manifestation of gravity and what not too or whatever the dude in that twitter post is trying to extrapolate.

It just isn't inherently the same caliber as the Infinite Rotation, even if they have overlapping effects to a degree (Which I mean? Obviously? They're both Spin, they're gonna share a LOT of shit).
Why is Blade Mode in Raiden's Custom Cyborg key a 2x boost when in his last 8-A key it's a 10x boost?
    Unknownnah
    Unknownnah
Ah. Is it possible for killing Blade Mode and Ripper Mode to stack up to a 50x boost?
    Chariot190
    Chariot190
Nah, Killing Blade Mode just becomes the standard amp when Ripper is active. They don't stack, it's just automatically the highest when in Ripper.
    Unknownnah
    Unknownnah
Would've been very based for Raiden to have a amp like that

Can you tell me a couple of high end feats for Raiden that would changed this battle ? (Asking as a casual fan knowing nothing of either franchise)
    Chariot190
    Chariot190
Well AP wise he's definitely beat, but I have been looking at some potential higher speed feats.
And I was more so talking equipment and abilities, while nowhere near that of Snake of BB, who have passives for some reason (expect some haxy additions in the upcoming CRT), Raiden still has some good stuff, Fox Blade off the top of my head is neat, it's a High Frequency Blade that has remnants of Gray Fox's soul imbued into it, which straight up ignores durability and instant kills half the time atop of usual HF aspects.

I mean if it's a calc change, it won't really matter since this is an equal stat tourney
    Chariot190
    Chariot190
RAY's stats fine, mostly abilities, tech and the like for Metal Gears themselves. Maybe LS for MG's (Rya has like a 100,000 ton feat) but that doesn't matter

OK then just list these possible abilities there. These matches aren't getting added anyway

it's actually super simple. All you need is the area of the part that got torn off/crushed and the MPa of the material which you can find on the internet and convert it to kg/cm^2 which can also be done via the internet
