Well actually, the whole incest/horniness stuff works. The lore explains the Greek Gods were indeed living mecha space ships worshipped as gods by mortals, with their true body being called Aletheia, and they buildt Atlantis. The thing is, 14 000 years ago, an alien weapon called Sefar was sent by a civilization called the Velber to ravage the Earth and collect its ressources (pretty much like Brainiac) and kicked the Greek Gods's ass, destroying their Aletheia in the process (and also stole Ares's sword as a trophy). Sefar was then defeated by a human using Excalibur (and part of what was left of it was used by Odin to create the Valkyries while another part, the core, became Attila...yes, the girl Attila is basically the downgraded version of an alien superweapon) and the Greek Gods were reduced to Divine Spirits (in the Nasuverse, Divine Spirits are gods who were weakened) and they formed the basis for the Gods of Olympus. The Olympians as we know them are thus lesser versions of the original Twelve Machine Gods, generally in a humanoid form, wich is how the whole Zeus being horny and incest could happen.
