Hi.
Regarding my
thread you just closed down, your reasoning for disproving the upgrade is wrong. I would like to explain why.
Naruto the Last
movie was released before the
novelization came out.
Secondly, the novel itself was derived from the contents they used to make the movie i.e, the novel was adapted from the movie therefore, the movie holds more canon value than the novel. Whatever was said in the movie but didnt appear in the novel doesnt matter at all. The movie is still more canon than the novel.
This was the advertisement for the novelization
It clearly states that the movie was novel was based on the movie which means, the movie holds more canon value compared to the novel.
Kishimoto himself directly changed a lot of things in the original script. Every single thing shown and said in the movie was all according to Kishimoto’s supervision. This is what the wiki said;
That scan said; "for the first time ever, he(Kishimoto) exercised complete editorial supervision"
Kishimoto implemented a lot of new ideas and concepts for the movie specifically after the studio already finished. He was the one who introduced the scarf idea,
It's the same with Hamura’s chakra. Kishimoto changed and added a lot of stuffs till the point his editors got mad at him. Kishimoto wasn’t dozing off when he read the script for the movie and saw Hinataclaim she inherited Hamura's chakra. Just because the novel for some reason changed the original plot Kishimoto made, doesnt mean Kishimoto didnt give her the upgrade. Hinata inherited a chakra boost from Hamura in the movie. The novel doesnt hold the same canon value compared to the movie. Remember how the novel also stated Sasuke was the strongest amongst team 7? It wasnt even in the movie. THe scriptwriter was adding and removing a lot of scenes that weren't meant to happen.
I got this info from a friend on quora who explained the situation better than I.
