  • Hey, could you close this thread? The OP is someone who made a thread like this yesterday, and it got closed for lacking the arguments are. The original OP reasons have already been debunked and he keeps trying to come up with new arguments to downgrade them after each one gets debunked. None of them have any evidence either.

I was considering closing that for a bit, should’ve gotten around to that....
    Heyo
Can you unlock the trigun thread for a second? I gotta copy and paste the code from the OP for the intelligence section.
Hello, i see you closed this thread for being a "stomp"

Sorry for the long post below but i would like to prove why it is not a stomp

First of all, multiple users were not saying it was a stomp, it was only one guy saying stomp twice (one of which i couldn't respond to because it was closed). I provided several methods the character could incap mercer which one of which was conceded to work and one which i couldn't argue for because it was closed

Second, no real reason for it being a stomp was given, the closest i can think of is mercers regen but that is not a stomp condition. quoting from the stomp thread, common examples of a non stomp/decisive match page:
    • Both characters are otherwise evenly matched in terms of stats and abilities, but one has regeneration that the other cannot easily surmount.
Even if he couldn't beat mercer's regeneration, that is not a stomp condition.

I would just like to be able to respond to the final point, if it is considered a stomp at that point so be it.

"First of all, multiple users were not saying it was a stomp"

There was literally only one user who said it wasn't a stomp (not including you since you were the Thread starter), and that's Fupdumpthegump, and it was debunked my arguments about it being a stomp (Fupdumpthegump never responded to my points once I made them). There aren't "multiple users" when it was only just one user (two if including you, even though you were the Thread starter), and as shown by Schnee_One's decision to close the thread, he thinks that thread was a stomp too so it's technically also two users that think it's a stomp. Most of these several methods for incapacitation doesn't work as I've mentioned, and the Separation Trauma was very arguable for it even working in the first place due to Mercer's physiology as a virus rather than a conventional living organism - I even mentioned the very best case scenario where it could be assumed to work, and even then it was summarised that the knocking into unconsciousness by the Separation Trauma would take several seconds (or several minutes at best) each time (knocking characters out or incapacitating them repeatedly does not count towards the duration, it all has to be done passively), which isn't enough to meet the knock out win condition of one hour or the incapacitation win condition of over a day. So I technically didn't even concede that the method would work, and the other user (Warren) who argued about the Separation Trauma ability doesn't think that would work either, I merely explored the options for victory for Corvo (which wasn't technically me conceding that it would work, just assuming it might work but not solidly agreeing), which is very debateable that it would even work in the first place.

Also, there are more than one factors other than just regeneration that makes a match a stomp, and that includes Mercer's Immortalities, his limitless stamina and his overall inhuman physiology.

The stomp thread also mentions the character being "unreasonably outmatched" by the other, in which it is very well the case as there are practically no methods for Corvo to win against Mercer, and there's only one very arguable method that might work (and even then, it isn't enough of a duration to meet the win conditions I've mentioned), thus is overall a stomp. If that one very arguable method doesn't work, then it becomes a stomp in every way, but if it does... It still doesn't meet the incapacitation or knock out win condition, thus this method gets taken out of the equation by Standard Battle Assumptions.

Anyways, I am not convinced that matchup is anything more than a stomp, and I don't want to have this debate in Schnee_One's profile, so I'll ultimately leave the decision of opening that thread or letting that thread remain closed to Schnee_One and not reply to his profile regarding this point.

That bit on Regen is Regen that one cannot easily surmount, but the rules also state that having no way to win isn't a stomp, if you cannot beat the regen to begin with it is a stomp.

Thanks for reading it i guess.. sorry for bothering you
Hello. I like for you to please take a look at this thread and determine whether or not it's a stomp based on the character profiles and the user debates. The Thread starter has been bumping this thread continuously despite arguments (such as mine) made about it being a stomp, and I'm not sure what to do to stop this.

I learnt IT stuff in my classes, such as how Malware (viruses, worms, etc.) works, how Malware is counteracted/avoided, how to operate Windows servers, understanding the functions and processes behind networks, how to virtualise software or an operating system, learning how to program/code (although coding/programming is not for everybody and is notorious experience for being long and difficult to complete, being heavily based on trial and error, along with structuring the code of the program in a certain way that other programmers could understand it - and unlike many people stating that one should "learn to code" as if it's something easy, you should not listen to them as programming/coding is not easy at all as it requires patience, enthusiasm and skill built on the foundation of one's natural talent in such areas along with a heavy emphasis on trial and error that tests your patience. Basically, similarly like how not everybody can be doctors or engineers, not everybody can be programmers either, as such requires talent and enthusiasm in such areas or else it would be nightmarish and a chore to undergo the whole way through), the basics of how to plug cables to connect devices together in a wired or wireless network, and such.

Basically, doing complex computer stuff beyond just learning how to turn on and use computers like the average joe do.

For your classes, what do you mainly do in Psychology?

Studying different mental cases and different diagnosis is the main thing, along with how to talk to a patient or somebody who is seeking help from a therapist, currently studying the differences of schizophrenia. I seek to be a psychologist or a therapist, or something along the lines of a social worker.

When it comes to that you tend to learn quite a few things that change your perception of people. For example, I learned recently that people who have suffered through some bad trauma or abuse tend to act the age they were when they were suffering said abuse, including unconsciously raising their voices, so be on the look out for high pitched voices from people in their 20s, as naturally high pitched voices are actually quite rare. This is also the case when it comes to people who act at a much younger age then they are, so if someone acts like a child, you know a possible reason why.

Ooh, nice to know. It sounds like you could help a lot of people with your knowledge of the human psychology and its functions, I'm glad that this knowledge could be learnt by good people such as you to do some good for the people around you, with your possible goals of being a psychologist/therapist or a social worker and all. Sounds like a noble goal for a job, which I approve of. (y)

Also, thanks for that advice. I did not know that trauma or abuse could do such to people at younger ages, so it's great advice for me to know what would likely occur to people around me from my daily life, so it's a good bit of knowledge for me to know so that I can learn to be a bit more tactful around such people. It's great to learn new things every day, especially with useful information like this.
Hey, could you aid in the endeavor that is this CRT?

It is a lot of content to review, admittedly, but I put hundreds of hours into it and would appreciate it if you could give it a once over.

    Thank you
Mitsuru vs Sumire might... might be a stomp. We still don't know the scaling between Yald and Izanami, but so far Sumire has vastly higher AP.

I don’t think Mitsuru would even have a 2B key since she only ever interacted with Avatar Nyx

Nah, she would. Persona 3 Elizabeth alone is 2-B, and they're comparable to superior by that fight. They also fought Erebus, who Arena Elizabeth transported to the moon in fear of it damaging the CU (2-B structure), and they fought Arena-IT, who are superior to Izanami.

hello when you have the time, can you please give your opinon on this thread, it has pretty much reached a stalemate on the topic of regeneration, thank you.

    Huh I thought I replied

I’m neutral on the regen, points seem to be going back and forth on it
Hello, sorry bother you. Could you tell me what the difference is between Content Revision and General Disacussion? I never knew exactly the difference
    Schnee_One
    Schnee_One
A general discussion is, like the title says, just a general discussion on anything, you can really discuss whatever you want on there without issue unless its inappropriate.

A content revision involves directly changing something on the wiki. Character stats, abilities, revisions etc.

Is there a thread that you're confused on?

No, I was creating a Thread.

    Thanks for the answer
Hi, you're knowledgeable on Metal Gear, right? Remember the CRT? well, we've made the profiles for Peace Walker and The Sorrow, I think they're good to go, but just to be sure, I'd preferi if you, a staff member, gave us the ok and permission to add them, here's the sandbox

I think 7A to 6C via self destruct is better, I see no reason to not compare it to a real life one

    rest is fine

BTW, wasn’t there a tier upgrade for Raiden or am I missing something?
    Twellas
    Twellas
There was originally, but I came to the conclusion that I didn't have enough evidence; it's definitely not out of the question, but I'll have to look more into it and given all the stuff that has to be done with MG as a whole, such a thing will have to wait
    Twellas
    Twellas
And i WILL look into it, because it might make MGR scale to PW's self destruct, which would be a huge upgrade
