Pokemon General Discussion Thread Gen III: Oh No They Become So Hot Now!!!

Man Pokemon surely give me a amount of stress nowaday, first about matches (especially Glaceon) and now about Pokemon = Generic Animals..

In case you didn't notice earlier in this thread, there have already been talks underway about changing that, actually.

The top, honestly based off Pokemons intelligence shown in anime, manga, and spin-offs and of course Pokédex entries I think it's like that most Pokémon have close to human level intelligence they just can't talk, and that's not taking stuff like Mystery Dungeon and Pokepark into account where their shown to very much be human level intelligence with their own societies seprate from humans.

The perfect example is Alakazam, but we already know him, Malamar is basically evil planner.

I remember even Weavile can make a words on wood iirc.

Honestly thinking Pokémon are only wild animal level of intelligence is ignoring every time Pokémon are shown to be humans partners and equals not their pets, and all the emotion and intelligence their shown, just look at the Pokémon in the anime, especially Ash's, who have repeatedly shown awareness, intelligence, and emotions close to if not human levels. The only reason Pokémon in the core games semm like animals is because game mechanics need them to completely obidient to the player.

Just look at Meowth and how he learned to talk, he is not even that inteligent by anime standarts or in the Pokedex

Except they aren't always obedient. Remember, if you don't have enough badges, they'll blow you off and do whatever they want.

I think we should make a CRT on this, just to be official about it.

Meowth has shown to be intelligent at times and sometimes not, Team Rocket is very inconsistent, especially with those robots and traps of theirs.

Sure I guess, it seems Assaltwaffle will take some time to get around to theirs, and this is kinda important for such a popular verse as Pokémon.

Yveltal should technically already have soul manip seeing as it can affect ghost types like Yamask that are literally human souls bound to physical objects

By my knowledge, as Weekly said, it should already have it. If not, feel free to slap it on.

What happened to that btw?
They were just taken as outliers, especially after the downgrade to 7-A.

But the tier 4 one is still possibly acceptable if Pikachu does another feat of such magnitude with it.

Im currently playing a randomized Emerald nuzlocke.

My team is: Slaking / Salamence / Swampert / Blaziken / Electabuzz / Scizor

Yes, I know I have been terribly lucky. All of them except for swampy and scizor came fully evolved lol
