Pokemon General Discussion Thread Gen III: Oh No They Become So Hot Now!!!

I've been considering running a Nuzlocke just for the heck of it for a while now, but I decided that I would only do it for games that I 100% completed the story campaign for, or just essentially beat the Champion or whatever weirdness happened in B/W.

So, that would leave me with...Gen 3 (Emerald), Gen 4 (Platinum), Gen 3 Remakes (Alpha Sapphire) or Gen 7 (Moon).

Good luck with your Nuzlocke run Starter, i've never done one, but the rules on the mode seems to be quite challenging

I´ve heard Ultra Necrozma ends Nuzlockes a lot via sweeping your team.

Let´s just say right at the first fight with it, Ultra Necrozma actually get a x3 stat amp on all stats, meaning that you can´t wall it, it outspeeds everything unless you have something with Trick Room, Haze or Clear Smog, you can´t catch it at that moment (the game prevents you from doing that), it can two shot practically everything and even a supereffective Z-Move barely takes half of its health,

You can use X items to boost yourself while you heal the pokemon, or just use Zoroark with some other mon that receives Super effective damage from psychic attacks

Zoroark and Gengar are a great combination (What Gengar is weak to, Zoroark resists it or is even immune, and vice-versa), the best part is that both are UU technically, meaning that it´s actually viable for that tier.

And I actually stat amped with the Rotomdex my Decidueye up to max, what a loss of items...

I thought that we were talking about Nuzlocke not Smogon tiers '-'. And Zoroark is prob not that good in UU

I love running FRLG Nuzlockes. Safari Zone is always the hardest to make rules for.

Zoroark is RUBL for a reason. It´s moveset and abilities are good enought, but its stats... not so much.

And yeah, I just added in Smogon stuff because it´s kinda reliable when it comes to competitive.

Anyway, i remember an hackrom that give me trouble back in the day, is the one that it has other pokémon with Wonder Guard, i might do Nuzlocke for that one

Some Games give you Exp share kinda early in the game, that can help you in Nuzlocke to train your mons

Back when I played Platinum, I didn´t knew english at all, leading into being unable to get past the 2nd gym (Especially considering I think I ended up corrupting somewhat the game by accident), ending up with most of the wild pokémon turning into game-crashing MissingNo.s and me grinding my team to Lv. 70, when there were only Pokémon at about Lv. 10, and that trainer with Lv. 65 Clefables.

I was playing with an R4, and for fun I erased some of the game´s code and replaced it with random text.

The only problem with Nuzlockes is the amount of Minotaur Dung you run into that will KO your pokemon when you need it not to, you will get critted when you least expect it and it will seem that the Pokemon do way more damage then they do when you play the game normally. Which is the exact reason I don't do them. Also, in Pokemon Emerald depending on what Pokemon you have the Fight against Brendan/May in Rustboro City after the first gym is a trap.

Im currently playing a randomized Emerald nuzlocke.

My team is: Slaking / Salamence / Swampert / Blaziken / Electabuzz / Scizor

Yes, I know I have been terribly lucky. All of them except for swampy and scizor came fully evolved lol
Team is at level 47. 6 badges. Defeated Maxie (he was at level 51 btw, I rised the levels to add some difficulty).

Abilities, Moves and Stats Please?

So you are using a emulator Pachi? I see that you are a man of culture, or you can just do that in your GBA and i didn't know that

Stats are the same as usual:

Salamence: Rain Heal or whatever ability that restores HP in rain. Drill Peck, protect, headbutt, dragonbreath.

Slaking: static electriticty. Strength, faint attack, slack off, yawn.

Blaziken: drought. Bulk up, rock smash, double kick, blaze kick.

Electabuzz: air lock, surf, thunderpunch, calm mind, ice beam.

Scizor: shell armor, swords dance, double team, slash, double attack

Swampert: swarm, surf, fly, mud shot, protect.

For some reason the starters are extremely good.

Drought Charizard is also a thing lol.

Drizzle Blastoise.
