I'm honestly surprised how long I've been on this place and not just finally leaving for good. I disagree with so many of the vs debates practices and ideologies that it's a miracle how I keep coming back to them.
On one hand, I enjoy discussing stuff. Helps me focus and provides an opportunity to just unload my thoughts. Whether agreed or not is honestly a non factor for me.
On the other, the amount of stress one can accumulate is quite surprising. As people in general are passionate about the things they love and understand, they of course will formulate their own thoughts about it, which often is detached from what you may think or come to believe. Understanding each other is paramount, but often not achieved, leading to arguments and conflict where otherwise a peaceful talk could've put each other in the same page.
I've come to think I simply enjoy said conflict, if not for the conflict itself, for the opportunity to force myself into understanding and acknowledging a different perspective that in close circles I would never have thought.
But damn is it tiring...
just unloading my thoughts, don't mind me
