    Ello! Been reading the anos thread and it kinda made me question some things about a verse I'm indexing, so I just gotta ask some simple questions if you don't mind:

    If a character applies the very concept of death, causing them to instantly die, and another character resists it, I assume we just list it as "Resistance to Conceptual Manipulation and Death Manipulation", and only assume he resists conceptual death manip, nothing else, right?

    Another thing is that I'm confused about, is if having normal resistance to death manip is enough to resist the conceptual part of the character above.

    I'm not exactly sure what our general standard on writing it for profiles is. Either that or just listing "Resistance to Death Manipulation" may be fine.

    If it's resistance to death manip that is, for some reason, established to be general to all ways of applying it, yeah.

    Like, I know a series where vampires can regenerate from "death" being instantiated on them, and I'd expect that to work on concept-based death manip.

    ...Although that specific case would depend on the type of concept manip. Since type 1 is unaffected by the physical world, we wouldn't expect physical changes like "regenerated from it" to reflect the concept, and so it'd automatically apply again, probably incapping them.

    Aha alright, so it's kind of what I expected. It seems I'm gonna need to edit the justification a bit for the profile to emphasize that it's only death manip that the character resisted.

    That seems contradictory; you're both saying they shouldn't have been able to move, and that it doesn't impede movement.

    They shouldn't be able to move not in the sense of their body being paralyzed but in the sense of being restrained or a better description is being locked in place, not being free .
    As described, it's the concept and law of restraint and stagnation. When it was used on lightning being conducted through chains, the lightning stopped in place unnaturally and not as a result of manipulating the lightning. It's a river suddenly stops flowing while still being there.

    That still seems like it can be explained in other ways, i.e. Body Control, Electricity Manip, Water Manip.

    Note that Electricity Manip does not need to be granted by literally manipulating lightning; it's given for most feats involving doing stuff with lightning.

    I don't want to look like Dread or something, so I'm not going to bicker on the RVR thread and try to interfere in the case directly as if I'm a mod, but I'm pretty sure what you described is still a rule violation though.
    And he kind of is harassing them as well, he spams the same message begging them to help him out and tells them to shut up when they talk about something else.
    Even if you think that isn't harassment, it's still sort of douchey.

    Probably Acausal Type 5. The question is just "which power do authors write about, and write characters overcoming, more often"; I think NEP2's more common, so more characters would be able to get past it.

    Hi agnaa, sorry to bother you, I would like to ask a question regarding medaka box, as you are one of the biggest contributors to the verse

    Are there any moments in the manga that indicate that Iihiko's irreversible destruction can bypass conventional durability? or is this deduced from the fact that he killed Ajimu?
    By the way, what do you think about the Iihiko>Ajimu scale? do you think it's possible or is it just because of Medaka's narrative that heroes and protagonists will always defeat Ajimu?

    Him killing Ajimu is the most concrete thing, and even that isn't too conclusive. His ability's also just generally weird, the damage he can cause with, say, glasses without damaging them is a very tiny amount of evidence in favour of durability negation, but I don't think it's really good enough.

    The reason him killing Ajimu is important, is because actually scaling him to Ajimu gets really wack really quickly. Him getting injured by a vehicle and being able to be killed by Testament are the most obvious things, but there's also the fact that he wasn't able to OHKO Zenkichi, Kumagawa, and that Shiranui lady the first time we saw him, and then he failed to OHKO the style users when he adopted Shiranui's body. Hell, him only destroying the hospital (and not a much wider area) is also a bit strange. There's a bunch of contradictions you'd have to reckon with if you took that seriously, although I'm not sure which link in the chain is the one that should be discredited (Ajimu being supremely above the rest of the cast and universal or Iihiko scaling to Ajimu).

    You could say it's because of the main-character-ness that he scales but that's weird. We don't really know how it functions, so to say it amps his strength to the point where he can one-shot Ajimu, but in other scenes he can't one-shot random schmucks is wack. If we actually took that into a vs-debating context, would we consider him to just have a 1 in 10 chance to one-shot anyone at or below universal? It's possible but it's weird. Debating those parts of Medaka Box in general is weird.
