"That, I don't need..." Kargath said, before raising his voice to be nearly as loud as Sylvia's snoring without even shouting

"Elves of Aegis! We have come on orders of Archbishop Velen to speak to your High King! Allow us to pass through to do so!"

If they weren't noticed before, they certainly were now, if was unmistakable where that voice came from, it was a voice of someone who was used to speaking loudly and over things, and it completely threw Shalor off guard that Kargath could be that loud

Sylvia let out a sigh, unaffected by the loud noise going off right beside her. Her wings drooped down, purposely draping over Siglos as to hide the man from the gazes and jeers of the Everians as their attention was gotten by Kargath's... particularly loud shout.

Jeanne gritted her teeth, her eyes ringing ever so slightly as she tightly shut her eyes... Any normal human would've had their ears blown out instantly, but, luckily, none of them here were normal. Jeanne breathed out as the sound of people chattering and pondering Kargath's extremely loud shout echoed throughout the area, prompting Jeanne to speak up as well.

"My... friend here is right! We have very important business to attend to, so, please make way...!" Jeanne shouted, not nearly as loud, but, now that the noise had particularly died down, the girl's voice was for more audible.

"...T-thank y-you..." Siglos whispered to Sylvia, gladly allowing the wings to drape over his body. He gingerly caressed the woman's wing, his ears twitching anxiously as he waited for the nobles to react.

"...Please...leave them alone..." Siglos thought to himself. He inwardly prayed that they wouldn't treat Sylvia too harshly, knowing she would stand out more than most of the group.

Nobody particularly said anything in response to Jeanne and Kargath, until the air became particularly cold, causing Jeanne to shiver. Cain tilted her head as her breath was turning into fog, with Sylvia shuddering ever so slightly as the temperature dropped many times.

"H-Huh...?" Jeanne muttered, shaking her head. The sound of footsteps softly emerged as the people made a pathway almost immediately, as if on instinct. The footsteps were particularly familiar to Jeanne specifically, the girl distinctly remembering such a cold, sinking feeling...

Siglos shivered visibly; the Everian caught off guard by such a sudden drop in temperature.

"T-temperature a-altering m-magic…?" Siglos muttered to himself. A feeling of dread slowly overtook him, the Everian clinging tightly onto Sylvia's leg for warmth. He couldn't know for sure...but he only knew of one woman with Aegis who would do this.

“…S-she’s…s-she’s here…a-already? W-we...w-we c-couldn't have offended her a-already...r-right!?" Siglos muttered to himself, his heart racing. Gingerly, against his better judgment, he peeked his head out of Sylvia's wings, looking around anxiously.

The sound of heels sharply clicking against the cobblestone radiated as everyone silenced themselves, a woman revealing herself from the crowd. Jeanne froze as the woman approached the group, her cold, frosting gaze falling onto them as she stood in front of them. She was not very tall or domineering in appearance, no, but anybody in the group could tell that in this kingdom... Her power was without equal.

"You are all... quite bold." The woman spoke. Her mere words dropped the temperature of the surrounding area by several times, threatening to freeze anybody without Magic or Chi protection from the inside out.

"...She'll kill us..." Siglos thought. IT was a brief, kneejerk thought...yet it burned itself into his mind, the Everian taking a sharp intake of breath as the air chilled all around her. His teeth chattered loudly, feeling as if he had suddenly been transported to the coldest of tundras.

"...I'm going to die...i'm going to die...I'm going to die...I'm going to die" The words repeated themselves in Siglos's mind, worming themselves throughout his body, his fragile form trembling violently. He said nothing for a moment, before looking up at Sylvia.

"...B-bow...w-we...w-we n-need t-to...t-to bow!" He hissed at Sylvia, pure terror slowly creeping into his voice. He hastily took a step away from Sylvia's wings, kneeling towards the mage, his head lowered.

"Bow...?" Sylvia muttered, "Why are we bowing to this hussy...?" She asked, seemingly unaffected by the woman's presence after a few moments, and clearly confused as to why Siglos was so afraid. "Have you met her before...???"

"Hussy..." The woman murmured, a small vein popping in her forehead as her ears twitched.

Siglos's face paled, the Everian desperately shaking his head as if to nullify Sylvia's previous insult.

"...C-court....c-court m-mage..." He gasped, his body trembling.

"...S-she's...h-his Majesty's c-court mage....! T-the...t-the Witch o-of i-ice a-and s-snow! S-she's....s-she's...t-the...t-the g-greatest m-mage...i-in t-the...t-the city!" He whispered, struggling to catch his breath.

The woman breathed out, her breath freezing the air. Sylvia didn't flinch, only softly snarling at the woman, hard-pressed to bare her fangs at the witch.

"....It's... fine." The woman said, "If you have business with his majesty, then we've no reason for quarrel..."

"Y-Yes- Y-Yes...! We do!" Jeanne said, holding out her letter. "The Archbishop sent us here to speak to the High King...! We mean no trouble, my lady!"

"...And yet, you scream throughout the square, with "no intentions to cause trouble", correct...?" The woman grunted, crossing her arms. "Your actions don't speak for your words..."

Noah looked this with blank eyes, but well, she will try to be polite and thought her words well.

"Well, your excellency, it is a pleasure to be in your presence, we have come a long way to inform the governor about an important matter, although I understand that you and therefore the royal family may be busy, so if you could tell us where we can at least the opportunity to schedule an appointment" Noah said as polite as possible

"I know it may not seem like it, but the safety of many lives is at stake and due to the few options we had, it was the second thing we could do that would be more effective in our case, we are sorry to cause disturbances, if necessary we can do service community to pay for this little mistake" The Dragoness said, hoping that at least she understands

The woman sighed, "...You've no need to act some formal if your here on official business, girl. So, as your Vaewolf friend just thought, cease asslicking me." She said, having read Dhei's mind.

Siglos straightened, fidgeting as he took a step back, moving behind Sylvia. His face was deathly pale, the Everian only growing more afraid at the thought that she could read his mind.

“…She…she can’t…I…I…I have…layers of mental protection charms…I’m…I’m safe…” He thought to himself, his head barely peeking out from Sylvia's thigh. Against most normal mages, only people who he permitted could tap into his mind, and with only the ability to access a finite amount of information. Though…he had no idea if it would work against a mage of her caliber.

"That's impolite, both of you" she said to Dhei and IceQueen, already removing her facade, now she really wanted to give them a good blow but she didn't want to bother the others with her attitude, there are a job

Sylvia purposely shifted, clearly attempting to hide Siglos from the woman as she sighed. She glanced at Siglos, her clear, ice-like eyes squinting at him.

"I've no reason to be polite to ilk I've just met. Now, if you would shut up, follow me to his majesty's chambers... My name is Cecilia, by the way." She said, turning around. "And don't scream like a bunch of maniacs, this time."

"From experience, the only way to deal with those so enfactuated with power is to drown them out. I spoke clearly about our intentions." Kargath said, not seeming to care about the cold still, fearlessly starting down at Cecilla

Shalor's chains began to expand to form around Shalor, they seemed to defensively curl around Shalor as the boy began freezing, the markings on him increasing in luminosity until it was like a red star was where Shalor was, increasing his temperature at the cost of being extremely hard to look at due to the sheer red light as he audibly shivered

Khadgar turned away from Shalor, 100% to protect his vision as the boy had to warm up

Erebus remained silent, the freeze slowly affecting him. Thanks to his armor, the pain he felt in the freeze felt like nothing was happening, as the pitch black armor didn't seem to change color due to the temperature lowering. He's used to these kinds of harsh phenomena, though it does not mean he is completely unaffected by it. He takes a step forward and followed Cecilia first, not uttering a single word.

Cecilia was completely silent, her agitated breaths freezing the air in front of her as she began walking, her heels clicking gracefully against the cobblestone flooring. She waved her pale, lithe hand, beckoning the group to follow her.

"Are you alright, honey...?" Sylvia asked, her voice quiet.

Cain shrugged, beginning to walk, the cold agitating her at best.

Jeanne rubbed the bridge of her nose, beginning to walk, staying silent all the while.

Shalor's chains wrapped around Jeanne's shoulders and pulled him to her as he struggled to stand even as he was warmed up due the massive amount of light coming from him, while Kargath simply walked after Cecilla, Khadgar following and pulling ahead of Jeanne and Shalor

“…I-I’m a-alright, m-my love…” Siglos murmured, the Everian hugging close to his mate's leg as they walked.

“…I…I j-just didn’t w-except t-the…c-court m-mage herself t-to escort us. She’s…a-a l-legend…” he murmured. He seemed to calm down slightly as they walked, glad they could at least move away from the stares of the gathered nobles.

"Remember that we avoid conflict if at all possible." Saffi said to the others, looking especially at Sylvia and Siglos. "In any other case, I wouldn't say this, but if your emotions or past experiences will be something that hinders the progress of this mission, you best stay back at the inn, understood?"

"I think she's a hussy... Don't pay attention to her..." Sylvia said as she walked, growling.

Siglos stared at her for a moment, before a soft shaky smile flashed across his face, the Everian stifling a chuckle. It was...nice, in a way, to be with someone who treated nobles so irreverently, even if it was anxiety-inducing at the same time.

"...A-alright, Sylvia." Siglos said softly, shaking his head.

"...D-do...d-do y-you feel a-alright? I-it's...b-below freezing b-but y-you are not even...shivering..." He muttered.

Siglos glanced at Saffi for a moment, before taking a soft breath.

"...U-understood, Saffi." Siglos murmured.

Sylvia shrugged at Siglos as they walked, the path clearing as the group went a few meters away from the square they were previously in, taking a turn to a seemingly empty part of the city.

"Back in my continent, during winter, it got to temperatures over 50 degrees below zero, so, I'm more than used to a bit of cold..." Sylvia muttered.

T-that’s…t-that’s…a-amazing, Sylvia…” Siglos said quietly, looking up at the woman.

“O-or…w-well…t-that…m-must’ve been…a-awful. But…I…I didn’t k-know it w-was possible to…s-survive l-like t-that…” He said quietly, rubbing his arms in an attempt to warm them.
