Hi, question about whether Regen "low-godly" is able to survive from the absorption of a soul, as when your soul is absorbed, and you have a low-godly but your soul can absorb by enemies immediately, does that mean that Soul Absorption is superior to Regen "Low-Godly"
MK able to use the staff to kick someone's soul out of their body. Also Mei interacting the soul to put it back in
Also here the staff kicked out Mei's soul but Mei later able to return
I've been wanting to ask: does killing ghosts/spirits count as soul manipulation? I looked at the page for soul manipulation and wanted to make sure because I thought it was a bit unclear whether killing of souls using, say, magic was NPI or straight soul manip.
And for my other: what does...
So the DLC has been out for a month, and are a lot of new stuff to be added. But for now I want to start small. One of the new items, the Surging Frenzied Flame, states in its description that "Spirits are eternal, and yet frenzied flame melts them away regardless. No wonder the hornsent forbid...
Sans, for those who don't know, have had some matchups on his profile against actually pretty powerful opponents, and TWO SPECIFIC winning condition that is usually seen in each of these wins.
First, lets start off with the pure obvious: Soul Manipulation
Examples include: Saitama vs. Sans...
Let's say character X's Z technique involves both soul manipulation and death manipulation. But most of the time, the effect of this technique is to kill the opponent directly. So death mp. In this case, in VSTs, is the character's starting move considered as Death mp or both death manip and...
Continuing off this thread that got passed, and not cause I totally forgot to remove it or ask for it to be removed.
So Naruto's resistance should ether be removed completely since he didn't really resist Nagatos technique or it should reworded to unconvention soul manip resistance since he...
Do you need a specific type of soul manipulation resistance to resist said specific soul manipulation ability?
For example let's say character X has soul manipulation resistance because they were unaffected by attacks that damage/destroy souls.
They fight character Y who can absorb the...
Does anyone here know of any examples of a fictional verse where souls are either confirmed not to exist or are at least considered an anomaly in and of themselves rather than something all/most people inherently possess? Verses with characters listed on the wiki are preferable but not required...
If a character destroys some one soul and it makes them getting kill in all different possibilities/timeline should that soul hax be 4D and ranges to 2B ?
This is pretty simple
In undertale, Monster attack directly the soul of the opponent, Which is showned in all fights
Sans in his battle can use Telekenesis which basically picks up the Soul instead of the physical body of the opponent
In 7:50 and the other times he slams them in the box...
For characters who possess both Manipulation and Resistance to either Mind Manipulation and/or Soul Manipulation/Possession, would their level of Manipulation be automatically equal to their level of Resistance and vice versa unless proven otherwise in-story?
Well, this is more focused on Sans battles. Beacuse I just noticed a thing
So, sinse undertale magic "Dura negation" has been extremely nerfed to the point of acting like regular atacks sans keept a form of Durability negation trough karma
But there is a big problem with that... Karma can't...
There's almost no difference between soul manipulation and NPI in fiction. It's an arbitrary difference created by Powerscaling community.
Now........ cope.
Basically the title, doing this for fun as is a funny idea I just got.
What character can benefit from absorbing the Human SOULs?
Requirements:
Must not be beyond the peak stats of the Human SOULs themselves (aka Ad-Infinitum levels of 2-B stats and Immeasurable speed)
The character must have...
Pretty quick revision.
Zeref’s soul manipulation and empathic manipulation resistance lists that he was unaffected by Larcade’s pleasure magic/ resistant but this isn’t true.
He was effected by it, which is one of the reasons he told Larcade to call off the spell.
At first I was gonna say it...
So, I'm aware Bleach's soul hax has layers to it, but can someone give me a concise explanation of how it works?
I know that it starts with Lieutenant level characters, then basic Soul Physiology lets you resist it, then characters on and above Starrk's level can overcome that resistance. But...
So if it is discerned that we measure a verse's potency of its hax by the number of people affected, how does that translate for potency in terms of when compared to traditional layered potency?
Like if someone has mind hax which works on 7 people, they wouldn't be able to bypass mind hax...
hello, i'm arguing with someone and he says ;now vsb accepts this logic .
A user's spiritual manipulation is held equally compared to one's attack power, for example let's consider a 2-C character, let's say this character has 4 Universe strength, this person can affect the soul of a person...
Plot: I don't know something related to clowns probably
Lancer: 4
Joker (DCAU): 1
Incon:
Both are in character
Joker is at base
Joker is aware that Lancer has Soul Manipulation
Lancer is aware of Joker's laughing gasses
Fight is in the Dark World (You know, so Lancer doesn't instantly die)
Win...
I've had a minor issue of sorts off-site on this stuff, and current standards lean into it being quite easy to consider/apply, so may as well.
Basically, currently we have this segment in the Soul Manipulation page:
Then this in the Concept Manipulation page:
So far it's clear there's an...
with this she can get soul manipulation or what? explanation is already on Imgur
With this she can get memory manipulation or what? Explanation is already on Imgur
Character A is tier 4 and has 5 layers of soul hax. Character B is tier 2 and although he doesn't have layered resistances, in his verse, their power level equates to his soul hax resistance, meaning you'd have to be tier 2 to hax him. Would he be able to resist Character A hax
If in a verse every existing being has souls, including abstract beings of type 1 concepts, does that mean that souls are also a type 1 concept?
And if this is correct, would manipulating souls in this verse be considered conceptual manipulation as well?
I'm not really sure what it is; Is it just resistance since the soul can still be manipulated, just with no harm done to the character in question? Is it a weird form of type 2 immortality? Or is it something else entirely?
In the One Piece verse, the mind/heart (kokoro) is linked to what is called "spirit" (Kihaku); spirits are the essence of someone's soul, manifesting in one's emotions, consciousness, mental strength, convictions and fighting power; the soul or "life" is what houses all these substances. Each...

Imagine you get hit by an attack which damages your soul, destroying half of it, but you can still fight very well and can tolerate it. Could this be limited soul resistance since you can survive when your soul is badly damaged? Especially if in the verse, other people have a harder time...
Like the title suggest what level of Soul Manipulation would you have if you can manipulate/create an Infinite amount of Souls?
Would that be considered as 4-D Soul Manipulation?
I just want to discuss about josuke reviving hayato and if it's classified as soul manipulation as Hayato exploded from killer queen's ability to make anything bomb which also destroys souls in the process however josuke was about to save both soul and hayato's life.
seeing how Alchemy and Alchemist in fiction are at least very common despite being mostly Natural Philosophy. how does one actually rate their mumbo jumbo about their Primary Matter/Prima Materia and being able to manipulate those? with how much they relate so much with souls do we just slap it...
Exactly what the question says.
What kind of proof is needed to say a verse likely doesn't have souls?
Is it enough for characters themselves to not believe in souls? Or to question the existence of any kind of afterlife?
Or do we need to have some kind of godly or narrative figure flat-out...
2003 Edward actually ends up in FMAB's universe instead and fights the FMAB Edward for the philosopher stone to save his brother or something idfk it's been awhile okay?

Since the rules changed on how we view potency when it comes to these things, and it's a bit confusing/a little too open to interpretation (imo); I thought it would help to have a thread comparing different mind hax and soul hax potency based on these new standards listed here. So why not start...
Okay, as the previous thread got derailed with inconsistent input from normal users, and this being a relevant topic for future versus threads and the like, I'm redoing this thread in the staff board, and I'll also summarize some of the arguments given on my part.
The basic argument is that...
