Hey Jedi its me again lol sorry to bother but I was curious about the recent Heart of the Sun event and the scaling/hax/upgrades that may come from it, regardless of canonicity. If you have played it, would you be able to give a brief rundown of the most important parts of the event and how stuff like the power of the Omnipotent affects the Captains scaling/hax? Thanks in advance for your help as always!

It is being revised to become immeasurable speed. although there are more nuance and varieties for this because there were also some statements regarding how speed works in granblue now (most notably the introduction of relativity and time dilation and how going faster than SoL physically makes one go infinite/immeasurable speed)

And yes Captain while either using this power or while using the boundary gains resistance to things which is why they needed it to defeat Orologia who controls causality and the flow of time
    Abeastiry
That's actually sick. Yeah I've been wondering when the immeasurable speed revisions would go through since it's a little odd that such a strong verse was limited to MFTL+ despite a bunch of evidence for higher speed. Hopefully you can get one more mod approval soon to make the changes from your other CRT at least.

And thanks for clearing that up. Just wanted to be sure. Thank you for your insights as always 🙏🏾

Oh one last thing. I was looking at the phisiology page for Granblue and noticed that you mentioned Akasha made up the concepts of space-time in sky realm. I can see the concept of time stuff but do you have scans or just reasoning that includes concept of space? Thanks again in advance.
    TheGreatJedi13
    TheGreatJedi13
Akasha is the concept of History, not spacetime. Well they are almost practically the same but ultimately different in Granblue standard since
History is like the record of time and Akasha's record includes the future and she can practically change that record. While spacetime is like the timeline.
iirc Akasha only holds the record of Sky-realm and not anything outside the history of Sky-realm she can go outside the timeline and write things not within the timeline (like adding a collab character and such). Granblue Cosmology honestly is a lot like closer to "Fate's" situation where the Earth's surface is like universal in size etc and their moon is a separate dimension on its own that has like infinite multiverse something while the entirety of the universe is way higher.

there are things like separate concepts that have dominion over the same thing.
just like how Orologia is the Wedge that defines Time flow and Causality he can control time and causality at will
Akasha being the concept of history can control history which in turn controls Causality and time as well
Xolotl is a primal beast of causality and he can practically send people into the past and such without problems with paradox (or probably because if he does that affected past will simply be branched out)
They can practically do the same things but their power must not collide with each other as it will cause contradiction which Orologia avoids so she has to indirectly affect them rather than simply writing them off and such

iirc the one closest to the concept of space is the Primal beast of gateway Angra Mainyu who can reach any dimension or send people into random dimensions and one needs a beacon to be found again
Hey Jedi! Hope youre doing well. Just had a quick question about Granblue, in particular, a scan that is apparently unavailable. It was the scan that talked about how the Boundary could not be described in terms of vertical space if I'm remembering correctly. For some reason, when you click on the link for it, it says the scan is unavailable, so I was simply wondering if you could provide it here if possible please? Thanks in advance either way!
    TheGreatJedi13
    TheGreatJedi13
oh there was a broken link?
Can you tell me if it's in official page so I can fix it
It's a new scan from new main story

    Read from the bottom
    Abeastiry
Thanks for that! Nah I don't think it was on an official page AFAIK. It was just something I found interesting on the beyond dimensional review thread and I saw that a few links were dead.

Also just for clarification, is Estalucia below the Boundary? Just wanna be clarification about its position in the cosmology if that's cool.
    TheGreatJedi13
    TheGreatJedi13
Estalucia is below the boundary. well some characters believe they refer to the same place. but clearly they are different as Estalucia is an actual realm with places and such and has a planet in it
    Scene_evt240312_ed_21_a.png

The narrator said this place is Estalucia and the phoenix reached it after traveling all dimensions, all alternate timelines in different times, all corners of the skies, etc.

While boundary is portrayed as something more empty
Hello i found this , if it's good, it will Likely change every 2-B to 2-A
    TheGreatJedi13
    TheGreatJedi13
this is planned but tierring changes that affects this rating as a whole so I'm putting it last
currently granblue is already 2-B on some characters
    but this one confirm 2-A
Hey GreatJedi! Hope you're doing well! Just had two quick questions if that's okay.

    1) just for funsies, what would you say the 1-A meta is for Granblue Fantasy? I'm mostly just curious about its application in other tiering systems that involve stuff like being above the concept of space, dimensionality etc.

    2) Are there any plot related hax or resistances in the verse? And would the Captain happen to possess or resist said abilities?

Thank you in advance for your time!

Scaling feats tbh is a long explanation
But the explanation page usually covers it

    Sky-realm < Astral realm < Otherworld =< Orologia = Etemenanki = Boundary = Providence = Sky/Astral God = Estalucia =<Omnipotent

    Captain Fought Sandalphon
Captain Fought proto-bahamut which can already obliterate the universe in this avatar
Avatar (Lucilius creation) is created to destroy etemenanki
    Captain defeated Avatar
    Captain was given Primarch weapons
    Captain Fought Ultimate Bahamut
    Beelzebub absorbed Avatar
    Lucilius destroyed Etemenanki at base
Lucilius absorbed Lucio who guards Etemenanki and is a stage manager for reality
    Captain defeated Lucilius
    Captain was tested by Bahamut
Lyria gains Ultimate Bahamut summon at 000

Etemenanki encompasses both Providence (worldly) and chaos (otherworldly) but unbound by it
    NannoKarma
    NannoKarma
Thank you for the scaling it will help its noted. If you have some scans about the Fights or something just a few i could use them, i think i found some boss Fight of them on YouTube to show that captain defeated them (i Hope its good)

checking it i don't think he was unaffected. He weaponized Alioth to prune universes that branch which has other version of himself that might be evil. so I don't think he is unaffected but rather not being targetted by Alioth

The Void at the end of Time feels more like a space outside Time yet the Multiverse still branches when they cross the threshold meaning time still flows while they are still there but just that the space they are in is likely independent from this multiverse or branches.

i don't think its enough for Acausality. As he is simply preventing the universe from making branches outside the main line continuously
Though one thing you could do is that if you can or manage to tie Time and Causality as two sides of the same coin you can probably argue Type 4 by being outside time aka different system

but that would require other evidence to prove that Time = Causality
thus by saying outside time you also imply outside normal causality
    Jedi
I hear your an expert when it comes to Transduality
Can I get your opinion on smth?
More so I want you to review a brief conversation I had regarding it and tell me your thoughts HERE
    TheGreatJedi13
    TheGreatJedi13
Wow, DarkGrath Already answered enough afaik. But I think I can add some thoughts or input

To summarize DarkGrath is correct. Some things don't need to be a duality to be under a duality. Like the explanation of how Fire is still bound under the duality of existence and nonexistence. so in that sense, the person wouldn't get resistance from it technically and it wouldn't really be correct to list it as unconventional resistance either but the character would be unaffected by fire which is bound by a duality it transcends

    as for the second question.
Yes, it would vary depending on whether said plot exists as transcendental to reality or not. If it's not transcendental in a way that a plot exists for example in a regular universe but there is no concrete proof it is above time itself (One example here is This Profile for example). In the case of this character is unknown whether his plot manipulation extends to the entire timeline. if we go with the assumption that he isn't capable of affecting the timeline (Thus making his plot manip only 3D [funny]) a transdual 2 character will still be affected by Plot manipulation if the Plot is not treated as a duality and is also unbound by any other dualities the transdual 2 character is above to.

But to continue the case of the Old man. We know he can write the plot and the story and their adventure meaning that the plot itself is above whatever is being created by his plot.
    checking case by case

    1. Light and Darkness - Clearly below plot unless the verse makes it so it is not
    2. Creation and Destruction - the plot makes it so they all go into an infinite loop so anything created or destroyed in that level is also rendered or reverted (I believe this alone is enough superiority)
    3. Existence and Nothingness - This one is a bit harder but thanks to NEP Type 1 and there also being a thing called narrative nonexistence. if this has no feat of encompassing the existence and nonexistence of the plot I believe it shouldn't be assumed that it is above to plot at best it could be equal so that would make it so the Plot will still work.
    • (In the case of the Old Man he actually wrote the entire stories of Fantasia and the human world which also has an entity called The Nothing and Childlike Empress has void manipulation through that so without a doubt his plot hax will work)

This I believe would be the course of it without it being NLF. and this is assuming the plot is above the entire 3D world without having the feat of being a higher level of reality or affecting the timeline. But if the plot manipulation of a character is vague such as in the case of toon force or 4th wall kind of plot manipulation it would vary depending on said feat. After all Plot Manipulation can vary as well in level and capability it can do
    TheGreatJedi13
    TheGreatJedi13
    Well as for law manipulation
It does function similarly to Concept but more of a specific law that cannot be disobeyed.
that would be a case-by-case but to be safe if Law is not a duality or bound to any duality we have reason to believe that it can affect the transdual character.

If we for example include existence and nonexistence as duality it would be different because
We can also say that Law manipulation has no feat of affecting or being above the concept/idea of existence and nonexistence the same way we can't assume we can interact with someone who has NEP Type 1/2 without feats. so in this case I would argue it wouldn't work but it wouldn't really grant resistance or anything.

Hello, i'm from the low 1-C zeno thread, i was wondering why you think the timeline would actually qualify for 5-D, can i have your thoughts? Because i feel like the timeline standards for DB are wrong.

That's not how it works they arent parallel they are branching. Parallel timelines are independent branching timeline takes from the same root. Destroying the timeline across past present and future would include the past where all other branching timeline takes root as well. We have a standard with branching timeline if you are not aware and a branch does not easily qualify as independent timeline by simply branching.
    TiltedFN
    TiltedFN
DB follows many worlds interpretation, so there is countless possible different outcomes for the timelines. Alternate timelines already exist, which is accepted, they don't even have to be branched from the main one or by time travel, so they are independent, and destroying a timeline like zeno did would still be destroying the snapshots of all those 4d structures, which would be 5d.

This is wrong in DB it’s been established many times doing something in a past timeline doesn’t do anything to the future timeline because it’s already happened when a time machine goes into the past it Splits from that moment and becomes an independent timeline affecting one timeline does nothing to another

Hey sorry for bothering. I had a doubt regarding higher dimensional existence. How does the wiki treats it?

I have a character who is born due to some mixture components of higher dimensional space but story wise the character shown to exists alongside other 3D characters. How do vs wiki treat that character?
Actually managed to get proper translations for the Tactics stuff. Didn't really expect one of the translators to be free, but Maruishimaryishi was an absolute MVP.
    TartaChocholate
    TartaChocholate
Yeah, save for a few details, the one I had was correct. Marui's translation cleared up some ambiguities (for example, "Imaginary Space" was more akin to "void"). I'm gonna add them to the blog later on to compile everything. Though I have to take screenshots from the Japanese version of the game to prove I didn't make them up (ugh, this never ends), while I could use the japanese wiki-esque site where I extracted the text from, especially as I verified the contents there are transcripts from the game rather than summaries or analysis made by the webmaster (the Mystic description screenshot lines up exactly), I think that could be hard to trust for someone reading the profiles later on.
    TheGreatJedi13
    TheGreatJedi13
yeah. a reference can be added either way or a note explaining jptext and entext.

I'll be willing to assist with the CRT to argue some things in case they get contentions.

Gonna add the stuff we talked about and the translations for now. The CRT is still quite a bit away but things are finally taking shape. I'll let you know so stuff can be corrected beforehand.
Heyo, remember when I asked about the Mystics and Samurais of FFT: War of the Lions? I actually found the descriptions of the Lucavi and they really go out of their way to hammer how powerful they are. But interestingly, there are some pretty neat haxes there as well.
    TartaChocholate
    TartaChocholate
I vaguely recall that I once tried to learn the Zodiark Summon in the Elidibus battle with a Summoner under the atheist status and then, this random nobody in Ramza's army just noped the special attack of the almighty eldricth being even the gods feared just by being the most skeptical person on the planet. He still failed to learn the Summon and Elidibus killed him by slapping him with a physical attack on the next turn.

I'll see if I can try it against the final bosses Hashmal and Ultima.

There's one last thing, the original idea I was toying with but based on this on Summoners and the following text, do you think the Lucavi qualify for Higher-Dimensional Existence? In addition to all the other stuff we've found so far?

There are worlds within our world of Ivalice that we cannot touch or know as we know our own bed, home, or town.

The Netherworld, the Empyreal Plain, the World of Illusion... these are together known as otherworlds, unseen by eye; untouched by hand. The order of creatures known as scions hails from these otherworlds.

They are found in many places, in many lands, and they count among their number emissaries of the gods, protector spirits, and even greater doers of evil.

Though the otherworlds are not normally accessible from Ivalice, if certain requirements are met, it is possible to give otherworldly power a physical manifestation in our world.

This is most commonly seen in the pact made by the summoners who calls down an Esper to fight for them. From the legend of a great mage in the far eastern realms who sundered a magickal seal, thus receiving a scion as a servant, it would seem that they, too, operate by these same principles.

In Jylland, it has been discovered that that summoning of scions is possible with the use of a particular magickal device. However, it is certain that the power manifested through this means is only an echo of the scion's true power.

To evoke the true power of a scion, it would be necessary to harmonize oneself to the scion's being, fusing not only one's purpose with the scion, but one's own body and mind.

Also... thanks a lot for all the help, dude and putting up with all my pestering. Honestly I would have never put my finger on any of this by myself.
    TheGreatJedi13
    TheGreatJedi13
Im not entirely sure about higher dimensional existence. What was said is that they are unseen or untouched. It does make a good supporting evidence but alone it doesn't really stand to support HDE.

    As for the atheist affliction
Normally we could say they should null ultima and zodiark but the problem would be is that. Both have statent of transcending human reason and truth so their belief would be irrelevant to them. So that could just be gameplay mechanics since contradicted by lore. But as for the rest they might as well believe them from not harming them with magic.
    TartaChocholate
    TartaChocholate
Yeah, I'd consider it an outlier too. The lore builds up the Lucavi too much for a regular person to just ignore their power. Though I still want to check when I have a minute. There are abilities that are explicitly divine in nature that bypass Faith, like the Holy Knight's Holy Sword (in gameplay terms, because it's not a magical attack, but the lore is there) or Cloud's Limit which actually is a magical attack.

What I meant for HDE was more a sum of things, the description of Summoners in Tactics mentions Espers are called from the highest realms of the Spirit World, the lore of A2 mentions Summoning this way only allows Espers to use an "echo" of their true power and this is how the Lucavi are Summoned in FFXII were they are given still busted descriptions, and the A2 stuff does mention that a Lucavi can fully manifest itself by fusing with a host both in body and mind, which is how the Lucavi popped up in Tactics (by using the Auracites with different people) which is accompanied by all the descriptions of trascending the earthly and reason and such. In fact, the Lucavi's objective in Tactics was to revive Ultima precisely to freely travel to the mortal realm without needing hosts anymore.

Then again, you may be right and it's just a case of being stronger in Tactics
