After re-reading the chapter- The Supreme Kong Gun's note reads as follows:
"T/N: can be read as "over". The Kanji is the same as in "Supreme King"/"Conqueror's Haki". Which literally translates the attack to "Conqueror's Haki Kong Gun"
The attack is definitely an enhanced Kong Gun, not King Kong Gun. At least based on the kanji-

The King Kong Gun itself is nothing more than an enhanced Kong Gun, so ultimately this doesn't mean much.

It is still pretty clear that his arm/hand over the Over Kong Gun is a lot bigger than for his Kong Gun.

Lemme rephrase that-
It's a Haoshoku enhanced Kong Gun variant, rather than a King Kong Gun. The latter's a seperate technique altogether after all.

The same case seems to be for Hydra, where it's multiple Culverin's shot from a far bigger arm. The size of it seems to be more or less an indicator of it just being a superior attack to the haoshoku-less G4 blows since it's present even with Snakeman's Hydra.
