I don't read a lot of fanfiction, but we originally used fanfiction.net for PMs because it was vastly superior to the old forum. So I occasionally (emphasis on occasionally) searched for verses I like.
Literally every Devilman story I read there was focused on a more explicit relationship between Akira and Ryo. That's fine in and of itself (I'm not a bigot), but they're hyper-graphic (even for the Devilman franchise) and literally all take inspiration from the same panel in a chapter of Neo Devilman where they kiss for the only time every in the franchise. Despite the graphic content, however, the dialogue is lame and pretentious.
This is coming from someone who mostly liked the American Psycho novel, by the way. Although, I wouldn't describe any of the dialogue in that story as being unintentionally lame or pretentious.
