I was thinking.

Reading fanfics, has this impacted your view on the original canon series? If so, is it good or bad? As in do you like it more or hate it?

I'd hope I wasn't so mentally deficient that I couldn't tell the difference between the canon and a fan-fiction some edgy-12 year old wrote in their room at 3 a.m. (No offense should be taken, this is a joke, I have to clarify and now the joke is ruined.)

Yes, but I do understand why one's opinion of a series' canon would decrease. Usually when you eat something shitty, the same thing, although good when made by someone skilled, may seem shitty as well lol.
yep.... looking at RWBY.....nah, it still was not my thing to begin with.

Reading Naruto fanfiction mostly just made me notice some more logical errors and plotholes at the time. And how much potential it had that was wasted.

Dragon Ball fanfiction made me realize that while the series itself could use work, it's admittedly a lot better than what it could be otherwise.

Percy Jackson fanfiction made me appreciate the original series more by a lot. Probably due to seeing how badly the core concepts can be applied in the hands of an inept writer.

now what about Lovecraft fanfiction?
As in actual self-acknowledged fanfiction or Extended Canon? The latter only exists in small pockets of fluff or **** that does what Cthulhu himself does best to your mind.

The less said about the latter the better.

Not really I still love Naruto, Fairy Tail, BlazBlue, Fate/Stay Night and etc since really bad fanfics made me realise they don’t understand the core concept of the original series. Especially if they **** up the lore of BlazBlue, Nasuverse, Shin Megami Tensei, Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy series badly.

Now there are times I realise the flaws of some fanfics detail on about the series can work at times but not always. Also really shitty fanfics funny enough made you admire the original series much more like what azontr and Planck said.

In the past i readed so much Vocaloid fanfic so here my thought: it doesn't impacted me that much because my local authors knew what they doing and the good amount of comedy/parody made me feels comfortable with Vocaloid fanbase

But i admit that Rin x Len fangirls are too much there

Perhaps but there is fanfiction on fanfiction.net, it terrifies me to imagine what stories there are there under the Cthulhu Mythos name
So many fanfics, and extended canon stories make the characters "human", to make them relateable or "interesting". Even Dr Who had Yog Sothoth eventually go in that direction.

Pretty much. It’s the same I have with Shinza where all the writers I see on Wattpad that even try them out for whatever literally know so little if not absolutely nothing. The fact their info is taken off purely from battle forums or wiki’s says a lot how little they really know, not withstanding the fact that most of the series is still untranslated.

As for the others, definitely on works like MHA, RWBY, and Symphogear. Granted I only read Rwby and Symphogear content (crossover ish as the latter may be) and few of MHA. Never read any other cuz it’s just horny edgelord peeps there as I always talk about before.

Regardless, it does make me appreciate the original series more. Definitely a lot more if said work uses information that the original posted to great accuracy.

BTW, what are these...layers of creation, mandalas, and mokshas in shinza?

Must have been some really great Vocaloid fanfics lol.

At some point, imma try some kind of OP mc story where they get every shonen heroes powers and see how far I take it from there.

Some examples I have in mind is Izuku’s OFA and its many quirks, Goku’s Super Saiyan transformations, Ichigo’s soul reaper and hollow powers, and Naruto’s jutsu’s and power up transformations.

Mainly in seeing what kind of shit you can get from a particular yet specific kind of MC and where to take them from there.

It'd be impossible for them to walk without imploding their surroundings.
