This fanfic makes fun all of the tropes of typical crossover fanfics even though in this one Harry is the son of Thor (Who reincarnated as James Potter) and cousin of Jean Grey (Lily Potter is related to Jean Grey). Also this adds various Marvel, DC, The Dresden Files and many more.
Also no bashing, harems and other stupid shit since the writer ******* hates that and deconstructs that crap.

Although all of those Shinza fics are bad because to me, it looks like those fics are using info based of VSB, which afaik, is still incomplete in having the full explanation and that isn't including the amount of info Avesta has gone on to explain the two natures...or the Gudou's at least.
Not like I'm gonna help anymore with explaining stuff here for these peeps anymore, but I've already ranted enough about some of my personal problems here so I'd rather no derail this with my antics.
But yeah, I'm considering just messing around with all these concepts while also adding the cracked out shenanigans of the Youtubers I watch.

I see people using him for their MC's (OC, Reader-kun/chan, or even themselves as a self-insert), almost to the same degree as using Deku, Jaune, and Naruto as their OP underdogs for their fics. Then there's ofc people using any of the dozen of Kamen Riders, a Saiyan, a Sparda, or whoever as their templates also, and whoever else I'm missing from here they use.

Kek. I'd shove up one myself with Guda but...hehe.
I think Shirou is also used in particular for the reason that he has that unique ability of his to form up lots of weapons. Even if they only consisted of swords, he has loads of them that he can trace and use against anybody. Granted from what amount I recall, this wouldn't work as much against skillful Servant but against Gil in a pure match against NP vs NP as shown in UBW route, he can keep up and overwhelm others with his sword variety.
Ofc there's more to it than what's shown, but that's my impression why some people use him as a template for their fanfics.

Shirou, Seig (Main character in Fate/Apocrypha) and Hakuno (Main protag in EXTRA) should get more love and OP to be honest.

Honestly looking at it, there is plenty of reasons I can think of why people use these templates most than others they could have used or just make their own thing up.
- Jaune, Izuku, Naruto, and Shirou are/were underdogs in their respective series. While I can't truly say much about Jaune other than I do know that he's gotten better, the latter two have improved and gotten better to the point of being able to fight on their own. And in Izuku and Naruto's case, they got a variety of abilities and gotten stronger even. That, and the first three having crappy experiences to make
- Certain races like Saiyans from DB are used just because of how OP they are, as Goku and Vegeta showed and even through their children. While others use specific families like the Sparda family from DMC for...well pretty much the same reason as shown by Dante and Vergil
- Then there's the variety of other kinds of characters they use for "OP MC" like Ultraman (DK how OP they are, or haxed), Kamen Rider (same, usually lower from what I read at Spacebattles for most normals), any other kind of demon or angel or deity like in DxD or more, Saitama surprisingly and not surprisingly, and ofc the aforementioned Gudou/Hadou God from Shinza...even though the majority of people who know about them only read their info from VSB and not from the actual works themselves to get an idea just how Op they really are.

I just read through it. Aside from the obvious self-insert stuff, I don't think it was that bad. It had a good narrative twist, but I wish there would have been more time to make the change in character for Malty feel more realistic instead of just coming out of left field a little. Seen a fanfic where Jaune gains Susano’o, Hakumen and Ragna’s BlazBlue due to some stupid thing and kills Cinder. It has only one chapter and the grammar was bad.
Funny thing BlazBlue in FanFiction.Net has the least Jaune has OP powers in crossover, since most of the RWBY fics are about RWBY cast dealing with the over powered BlazBlue verse.
(Funny thing most BlazBlue in FanFiction.Net and Ao3 has amazing fics and almost none of the dumb harem plots in crossovers...well except in Naruto)
