This. Seriously, he's a blank slate with some basic underdog qualities in a high school fantasy setting where the major characters are predominantly cute girls. That's the most concentrated self insert fuel I've ever seen.

And add in his heroic bloodline and the secrets it has where you can have any crossover saying that this character is his ancestor or some shit, and also add in he has seven sisters. Also have his character compared to almost every character in fiction who has a large heroic bloodline.

I haven't seen anyone try to make those three Jaune's ancestors but I will be damned if I see BlazBlue characters being used as to make Jaune seem amazing and sideline everyone in Jaune's OP OOC Harem adventure fic...
Also I wonder how the writer will try to even fit these three characters as Jaune's 'ancestors' or some shit.

I've honestly found it weird how non-fanservice works of fiction have more lemons and harem fanfictions than verses where this is the focus.

Senran kagura is a mahlo cardinal times better then rwby......plus at first i disliked senran because too much fanservice, but then the characters actually have depths and development.

Writing and malleable plot is more or less what it comes down to for me, I think. A lot of the fanfics just follow the plot of RWBY with just their OC being in there to fix all of the problems with ease.

The characters in RWBY isn't that attractive/beautiful at all. Unlike senran kagura where the characters ARE waifu material. The only "attractive" characters i find in rwby are probably pyrrha nikos, and she is a D-/E+++ tier waifu at best in my opinion. Seriously, whoever writes rwby lemons have shit taste and are very uncultured.

Funny enough...I actually can follow BlazBlue plot, SMT plot, Nasuverse plot and Metal Gear series plot but is also baffled and confused on the many retcons and weird and contradicting crap in RWBY...
It is just baffling that a series like BlazBlue with its own crazy timey wimey bullcrap is somehow more understandable than RWBY's plot! Please someone tell me that its just me that to understand BlazBlue's plot rather than RWBY's overall plot?

From what I’ve heard so much about Rwby in the later parts, it really is.
I probably have a better shot of understanding a verse like Blazblue or Umineko than something like Rwby, where I’m not even sure wtf it’s even going at rn.

J-just why? Also...this may sound batshit insane but I am alright with this Ren is OP stuff because this is not the generic common Jaune is OP and is so basic while Ren is actually a decent character, so I will allow this...oddly.

Honestly fellas, if these authors are so intent on making OP characters based off crossover based abilties why not base those abilties on verses that are decently OP? Like ignoring high ends like The Cthulhu Mythos or Dies Irae I can think OP in their right verses like BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBoBo, BlazBlue, SMT/Persona, SCP and equivalent to those things. It seems weird to use verses for a crossover which really aren't OP that much, and for that matter these stories don't do a good job showing how OP these new versions are

Man the Harem stories in Wattpad are the same thing.
It either has to do with Izuku, Jaune, a Sparda, a Saiyan, a gamer type, RWBY, DxD...and I guess that’s about it mostly.
