@Overlord

In sharp contrast to the rest of the group, who had frightened away most nearby fauna with Nicholas' shockwaves, Blake would be beset with the constant noise of the wildlife surrounding them. There was the calls of birds, mammals, and many other species filling the air, and the occassional rustling of the nearby brush of smaller animals running away into the forest.

As Blake passed a large tree, there came a rustling of leaves overhead as a snake suddenly snapped at the survivor from above. The reptile, resembling a green tree python with enlarged fangs, hissed with hunger as it aimed to bite down on Blake.

Ah, dammit, just when i was starting to enjoy this.

I think, as bow made of moonlight then appears in my hand.

Let's see if i am still a good shot

I aim my weapon upwards and try to headshot the dastardly snake with a bolt of energy.

@Overlord

The bolt stabbed into the snake's head, the projectile piercing its way out the back of the reptile's skull just a second. Immediately the snake began convulsing and spasming as blood spurted from its head, before the reptile fell from the tree, landing down beside Blake as it lay strewn out over the forest floor. The squamate was roughly 15 feet long and 175 pounds, its jaws parted as it lay still.

I look at the carpacess of the python.

"That's what you get for biting more than you can chew."

I say proudly, then continue my stroll trought the forest, hoping to not be attacked again.

@Overlord

Blake would not be harrassed by any other animals as they walked through the forest. Eventually, they would come across the clearing previously occupied by the other survivors. The footprints left by the giant turtle and the shattered glass from the survivors' shelter could be plainly seen.

@Everyone else

The construction of their new base and defenses was completed without any sort of incident. None of the local wildlife had yet to interfere with nor try to attack the survivors yet.

A cleaning, huh ?

I go towards the footprints and the shard of glass, looking at them while crouching down a bit.

Traces, i am on the right track

I get up and continue moving foward, following the footprints of the giant turtle.

@Overlord

Each of the turtle's footprints was large enough to contain Blake as they followed the trail left by the goliath chelonian. The survivor could see blue wormlike creatures, glowing beetles, and other small creatures writithing in the tracks, birds and other flying predators coming in to feed on the invertebrates. There was a strange blue residue within and surrounding each one of the footprints, the likes of which was faintly glowing.

"I sure didn't expect to find blue glowing goop."

I comment about the blue sustance.

I continue following the track, now being much more curius to find out where they lead to.

@Overlord

It was quite easy for Blake to follow the tracks as they led in the forest, a series of crushed and toppled trees having been left into the chelonian's wake and also providing a path for the survivor.

Soon, Blake would come across the river, the small mountain to their right on the opposite end as the tracks continued on to circle around the mountain.

"Well, this ought to do better than the last one." Nicholas says in reply to Igneus.

"I just hope we don't encounter any more weird drugs."

@Overlord

Blake couldn't find anymore hints beyond that which they could see; the turtle's tracks went across the river and disappeared behind the small mountain. From where Blake was standing, they couldn't see anything else.

@Overlord

Blake wouldn't find much of interest at first as they went up the river; the most they could find were a few fist-sized shells of varying shapes and colors, as well as the partly decayed body of a small catfish.

Up ahead, they could soon see the rest of the survivors and their shelter, but before they could progress any further, the water by the river's edge exploded outwards. A large Kaprosuchus burst from the water, biting onto Blake's arm and attempting to drag them into the river.

"Huh, there's someone over there! They're being attacked."

Nicholas said as he noticed the new survivor, without a second thought he ran out of the shelter and stomped down on the ground near the creature, launching a shockwave at it to blast it away from the other survivor.

"Goddamit nature !"

I shout, both in anger for being attacked again and pain for having my arm bitten.

Utilizing my other arm, i create a bolt of moonlight and slam it in-between the eyes of the giant crocodile.

Nicholas' shockwave successfully repelled the Kaprosuchus away from Blake. However, by doing so, the survivor's attack also knocked over Blake, causing their attempt at stabbing the pseudosuchian's face to miss spectacularly. Igneus' trident also missed the fallen reptile, the magma polearm stabbing into the river's edge instead.

Giving a hissing snarl as it quickly got up, the Kaprosuchus dove back into the river, swimming up the moving water faster than Donte could get into position. Just moments after the reptile entered the waves, the mahajangasuchid once more erupted from the river, this time clamping its jaws shut upon Igneus' right leg. Blood spurted outwards immediately as the reptile's jaws punctured the survivor's flesh and fractured her femur, before the Kaprosuchus lifted up Igneus and attempted to run into the river with her.

From behind Donte, an annoyed rumble was heard as a large animal stood up and glared at him. Aggravated by Donte entering its personal space, the Baryonyx bellowed at the survivor, before raking its claws across his back and leaving several bloody gashes.

"It just never stops here."

Nicholas jumped up and followed the creature that was carrying Igneus. He would attempt to come down on the ground near it with a large shockwave, this time to blow away the creature and turn its internal organs to mush.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Igneus screams out in pain, she summons a magma spear and frantically starts trying to stab the beast.

Falling forward with the attack, I roll over to my right, arms hastily locked in place to prevent the new wounds from pressing against the river bank.

I am getting too used to getting wounds

No idea what had attacked me, my cheeks swell almost comically, releasing a wide cone of sand where I was attacked.

I quicky get up from getting throw on the ground, gaving gotten all sorts of scratches and bruises from it.

My relationship with this group already started on a high note.

I think sarcastically, then create a bow out of moonlight and shoot a bolt against the maws of the dinosaur attacking the dude on the otther bank.

The sand struck across the Baryonyx's front, cutting into its scaly hide and bringing out a pained cry from the spinosaurid. Lunging through the attack, the Baryonyx bit down on Donte's arm, lifting him into the air as it shook him around. Blake's bolt , however, sank into the dinosaur's right shoulder, making the piscivore cry aloud as it tossed Donte into the river before retreating from the river.

The Kaprosuchus was stabbed several times in the head and neck by Igneus' spear, making the pseudosuchian drop her with a hiss of pain. Nicholas' shockwave sent the reptile flying into the river as it coughed up blood, though Igneus was also launched away as a result. Wounded and bleeding from its head, mouth, and neck, the Kaprosuchus quickly swam away in the river, leaving the survivors.

Nicholas would then approach Igneus.

"Are you alright? We should get back to the shelter, lest we get attacked again. Can you walk?"

"You are forgetting something shockwave guy !"

I say loudly as i look in to the river, bow and arrow in hand, ready to fire upon anything that may attack me or the guy that was thrown in the river.

Gasping loudly at the shock of cold, I tense myself and straighten out, facing the bank i was just thrown from and expelling sand to get back to the others like a make shift jet ski.

Inb4 anaconda~ I think to myself.

@Over

Blake could see no other possible dangers to the survivors.

@Anonymous

Donte was able to reach the other survivors without any other surprise attacks to worry about.

"For now, I could carry you back to the shelter, from there we should work on a makeshift splint of some kind."

Nicholas said before briefly looking at the newly arrived survivor.

"You weren't the one who got bitten by a dinosaur."

"I actually was, it happened right in front of your eyes too. Do you have short term memory loss ?"

I respond to shockwave guy.

I walk to the shelter, while keeping my guard out for possible attacks.

Nicholas picks up Igneus and carries her, upon arriving at the shelter he then responds to the new survivor.

"Well, you don't seem to have broken anything, so that's good. I assume you're from the ship as well?"

"Not the place boyos." I call out dragging my soaking body and new collection of wounds towards them.

"Let's get inside the pallisade and start a fire before more garden snakes try to nom us."
