Island Survival RP

"Good, it's no problem. Should we try and prepare a wall of some kind in case the water becomes too much for this place? The walls should hold just fine, but it can still seep in through gaps."

The moisture condensed from the surrounding atmosphere plummetted to the island below in countless visible droplets that peppered the land with surprising strength. The cacophony of rain pelting everything within sight, including the construction the collection of survivors assembled through a combination of cooperation and their unique abilities that they used as a means of protection and/or shelter, proved most sufficient in drowning out any other production of sounds that could create a disturbance in regards to volume. The rumbling caused by the naturally occurring electrostatic discharge, during which two electrically charged regions in the atmosphere or ground temporarily equalize themselves, was about the only vibration that propagates as an audible wave of pressure that could be registered by the organ used by humans and many other species to register sound and aid in balance.

I go next to Nicholas and Igneus, with my clothes dripping from the rain that fell on me.

"Pretty bad weather, uh"

I comment.

"Any ideas on how long this weather might keep up? Cuz I don't think we have any food right now and getting some in that weather will be a pain ans hypothermia or some shit."

I say throwing a thumb back at the entrance.

"Eh, the hell if i know, but unless it lasts for weeks we won't starve to death."

I respond to Donte, while also looking at the rain falling outside.

[Didn't we take the remaining fish with us?]

"Doesn't look to be clearing anytime soon, though at least we have a river right here to fish from without going too far away."

Over the sound of the pittering rain and the survivors conversing with one another, the croaking of frogs could be heard, the anurans emerging from their hiding spots as they called to one another.

At least we won't have to sleep on the floor

"Good, could you show where they are ?"

I say while looking towards Donte

Staring blankly up at Blake from my seat by the fire, I point to the side of the shelter where 4 hammocks were folded up.

I look towards the hammocks and thank Donte, then I move towards them and pick one up.

After, I look around and find a place where to set up the sling, sitting on it once that is done.

"By the way, what do you three plan do to once the rain stops other than continuing staying alive ?"

I ask

"That is sounds cool and all, but I think you are forgetting about something much more important: Leaving the island"

The hours passed by without much in the way of action. The rain still steadily flowed downwards, the rumble of thunder and crack of lightning occasionally interjecting in the white noise. At some point, one could almost hear a strange ringing cry echo in the distance over the sound of the precipitation.

"Meh." I wave Blake off while reclining into my hammock/chair "You get used to the monsters. Its probably just some little lozard with a big bark."

Whatever made the ringing cry drew closer to where the survivors were camping. A sound like ringing bells could be heard as the large entity landed atop the nearby mountain.

Where anyone foolhardy enough to take a look outside, they'd find a huge winged creature perched atop the mountain. 50 meters tall, with a 93 meter wingspan and weighing 25,000 tons, the monster resembled some sort of dragon, draped in golden scales and sporting broad leathery wings. Its twin tails swung slowly behind it, and its three heads were surmounted atop serpentine necks. Each one of the draconic heads, sporting large jaws filled with sharp teeth, were adorned with curved horns, as well as a crescent.

The multiheaded hydra spread its wings wide as the storm seemed to be at its strongest. Rearing its heads back, the beast let out another ringing roar in the rain-filled sky, sparks of electrical energy coursing over its body. Giving a flap of its wings, creating a powerful blast of wind that almost toppled the survivors' shelter, the golden dragon took to the air again, flying away over the forest. The storm seemed to weaken as the monster left the scene, before the dark clouds dissipated, the rain coming to an end as the weather cleared up.

"It seems it hasn't spotted us, lucky us."

I say with a not really that happy tone.

"Anyway, i think the shelter took a lot of structural damage from the shockwave created by that thing, so we should start making repairs before it falls on top of us.."

"........ why do I get the feeling the kaiju just mocked me in meta sense? On the topic of repairs, we need Igneus to really fix the place up but I can go kill some more trees to slow it down in the meantime."

Warily peeking my head out of the shelter, I pray the wildlife remains in their own shelters for a bit longer.

Good thing i was in the scouts.

"I'll come with you."

I tell my ally, following him outside with bow and arrow ready.

Donte and Blake would find that nothing around would prove to be a danger to them as they emerged from the shelter. The mountain that the winged monster had perched on crumbled slightly from the weight of the beast, and a piece near the top of the outcropping had fallen away, revealing what looked to be a cave of some sorts.

Raising my hands like they were a scale, I spoke.

"Hmmm ...... on the one hand, we could go get stuff to fix the shelter. On the other though, we could go explore the cave which is sure to Murphy's Law us or give us cool shit. Decisions, decisions."

"Forgot about reparing the shelter for a moment, let's do that first, the cave won't be any different if we check it later."

"So do we check the cave or not? It may hold some explanation as to why this place is full of monsters."

Should the survivors decide to investigate, they would find that the river would become somewhat shallow to their right. The small section was just shallow enough to allow the group to wade through the water with only some degree of effort.

"Oi Donte, could you vomit some sand to make the waters much shallows so we can pass more easilly ?"

I ask him.

"So we are trying the cave first then .... also its sand breath not sand vomit."

Breathing out, I worked on raising the riverbed's height.
