The fact that Pokemon has a whole epic cosmology based around essentially cockfighting just weirds me out to no end. The game's just like "and this is the immortality being that maintains the flow of time, now use him in a cockfight." It's so freaking bizarre.

Yes, that's the point. It was something shameful he was forced to do out of necessity. He and Odin would actually accuse each other of being unmanly in a serious exchange of insults over this and Odin using writing and magic, which was also considered girly.
 
I saw people talking about the Pokemon leaks. There are two things I want to say. A) have none of you ever read any folklore and/or mythology before? This stuff is pretty standard for that. And b) none of the leaked stuff is canon. It's all pre-release and beta stuff that was never used.

Also, be aware that it's not just beta stuff for older Pokemon games that got leaked, stuff for upcoming games and anime seasons got leaked, along with the personal information of all of Gamefreak's employees. That's the big thing to me; these people got doxxed, and that's very bad.

It's funny because irl obviously Zeus becoming a swan and impregnating a women, or the union of a human and bull creating a minotaur is, y'know, NOT REAL...

In Pokemon, it would be lol. So it's a consistent thing that humans and the pokemans smashed all the time in the old days and probably even in the modern day (canon btw)
 
All this Pokémon talk reminds me, we never saw where Tobias ranked in the world coronation series, we know 9 of the top 10 so in all likelihood he didn’t even reach there. So that means that he’s not even on par with elite four members in spite of having at the very least TWO legendary Pokémon.

Alain being significantly stronger than mr darkrai and latios is kind of a mindfuck.

I finished Golden Wind yesterday, as I watched the adaptation in anticipation for the Death Battle. It had been recommended to me before, so it was a good chance to do so

I don't understand what Giorno's win conditions are supposed to be

The most notable ones i seen from most are aging joker like the tree, making senses berserk like with bruno and all he did to Diavolo with Requiem, death loop and RTZ

GER though is the biggest one argued

I think aging as a wincon is out since Persona characters have shown to overwrite aging using healing magic and items, along with the senses-hax being out-healed or skills that banish status conditions fixing it.


RTZ is really the only wincon, because GER did like two barrages on Diavolo that didn't kill him and didn't banish his ability to use his Stand. The sewer gank was the final thing that sealed the deal there and activated the death loop, but I don't feel like Giorno has the AP necessary to actually kill Joker with the durability stat gap he has.
 
So, what are we expecting the Joker vs Giorno result to be?

Based on our logic?

I assume the prediction blog ain't out yet, too, right?

P4 anime shows Dia skills revert aging skills and there are ways to get status immunities in P5.

Big Q is does GER count as Almighty or similar enough to bypass Physical damage Null/Repel/Drain.

Tho I feel like they might give Giorno meteor feat for AP and muh MFTL lol

I honestly don't see a way that they an argue GER or any Stand to be doing Almighty damage. It's clearly all physical as it affects the surroundings as a normal physical force does. The only Stands I can think of off the top of my head that wouldn't count as Physical would be like Magician's Red because fire chicken.
 
Since Almighty is basically divine/god type skill, I feel that might count, say like for DBZ Spirit Bomb & Hakai are godly techniques those might count.

Since GER ***** with reality, it might be argued as godly skill or whatever.
 
From what I gathered as well Giornos potential wincons are:

Age manip before Joker has a chance to heal it away.

GER reversing Joker's will to zero thus removing his powers and making him vulnerable.

If not careful, Giorno's repel could instantly kill him if Joker destroyed one of his life creations.

All of this relies on GERs RtZ working because if not Giornos just dead.
