DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (2024–2025) (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

AmongGuys was an okay episode, about what I expected from it lol. Did seem like Fall Guys’s win relied heavily on crossover scaling though. Would the fight have gone differently without any crossover stuff for either side?
IIRC without crossovers, Among Us is much faster (in reactions while being just about even in travel speed) but Fall Guys is way stronger to the point of one-shotting, where it's just down to the Fall Guys landing that one hit they need to win

They did a fall guys stream and they said 4 weeks till next episode drop

It's crazy to me that there are people who continue to insist that the GoW series has never shown any cosmic feats on-screen before.. as if Ceto didn't chin check Uranus so hard in the beginning of Ascension that the Greek universe literally got flung out of his body, or like Morpheus engulfing all of Greek creation in his darkness with the goal of merging it into his world of dreams wasn't one of the main plot points of Chains of Olympus, or that Thor & Jormungandr didn't shake the Nine Realms in their battle and ended up splintering the Yggdrasil, which transcends & holds all of them on its boughs... shit is truly beyond me. 🤷‍♂️

Have you considered the time Kratos nearly died from cutting himself on glass?

Strongest Fighters This Season (Based off information Death Battle Provided):
Bowser
Eggman
Joker (Honestly these three are pretty interchangeable since they're all strong and haxy)
Giorno Giovanna (Gold Experience Requiem)
Fall Guy
Crewmate/Imposter (I think I have their placement right. How high into Star Level were they?)
Omni-Man
Bardock
Giorno Giovanna (Gold Experience)

Maybe I'm just not a fan of FG and AU, however I feel cheated by the fact that I waited three weeks for THIS.
The animation was good, but I just don't like the joke sequences.

However, I'm incredibly looking forward to the new episode. Asura vs Kratos is going to be incredibly epic, although it's obvious that Kratos is taking it away.
Even if they both get interpreted as Universal+, Kratos has an incredible arsenal and hax to take this matchup

Thinking about, there is one unconventional feat for Kratos.

Besides scale chaining to Ragnarok via other characters, technically it was Kratos' Blades of Chaos and its Primordial fire that was able to create Ragnarok. In that sense, couldnt one argue that Blades of Chaos could sort of scale to Ragnarok as well like that?

My guess

Kratos:
Universal and Massively Faster than Light - Infinite (With a shit ton of hax)

Asura:
Universal and Massively Faster than Light (No real hax besides being hard to kill)
Kratos:
Continental and average human movement with MHS combat speed (Moderate hax like freeze manip)

Asura:
Galaxy and Massively Faster than Light (8 layers of immortality and will always be stronger than the other dude because he angery)

(Vibe scaling only).

Wait, what are the arguments for Asura being Universal+?
Shattering Naraka with a punch, and beating Chakravartin if you take his words of being able to destroy the world as the universe (and back it with his statue form sucking in space itself). Unless universal+ includes time as well?

Yes, you need to destroy time as well for it to qualify as Universal+. If it's not stated, it's just Universal.
Considering this is an Asian game, I'm sure there will be some kind of hieroglyph or statement related to spacetime in the databook.

In any case, this is the most generous rating I can give Asura. Although I have seen videos on YouTube where Asura has outversal
