DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (2024–2025) (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Ah, fair point.

On another note: I caught myself thinking about what MUs work as full episodes, as opposed to DBXs and Rap Battles, and after my full ATLA binge, for some reason Uncle Iroh vs Triton (XC3) works really well in my mind as a rap battle.

At volunteering atm, so I can't really make a thumbnail. stay tuned, I guess?

The fact that Speedy went "well actually King Piccolo struggled to destroy a city" says a lot. And I am utterly fascinated by Ultraguy. The guy read basically all of DBZ including spinoff material. He might have spent years researching all of these. Yet despite that most people here would not want him to research DBZ let alone touch. Thats extremely harsh, damn. These guys read and have posted on these threads. What the hell do they think when they see the massive criticism these threads give? He was so confident supposedly on Bardock's stats, but people bitch about lowballed AP and even wanked speed and Great Ape usage. A lot of negativity. Even supposed love letter of GogetaVegito just didnt land. A boring same verse match thats nigh mirror match in a season that had a lot of new verse debuts was bad idea. Even the fight is really nothing special, they couldnt create special set pieces due to both of them being same verse. DBS vs DBGT might have had more debate too.

Are DB biased? Frankly, the fact that Lich King's shared feat was divided but Nolan's shared feat wasnt is dumb founding. Even if they arent biased against DBZ, they glazed Nolan too hard. Research was so bad I cant actually deny favoritism. The reasoning for not dividing was really that bad.

Quite frankly Im now curious to check are there other verses that get treated as bad as DBZ. I already said Naruto is treated worse, but are there others? I feel like SF, but frankly that verse suffers from early season research. I guess Sonic considering resent trends here lol

MLP was at one point. I don't think I need to remind anyone of WALL LEVEL MLP God tiers... singlehandedly set back pony powerscaling 3 millenia

Nowadays they've actually agreed with this site on stats. I still think they downplayed the **** out of Discord's conceptual nature and hit him with the idiot stick pretending like he ALWAYS lets his enemies do whatever while he laughs but eh
 
Somehow RD's win is most blatant bias since apparently they wouldnt have done that ep if Starscream would have won :V

They technically gave Discord conceptual regen, time travel and 4th wall knowledge so like... whats stopping Discord from coming back basically immediately? them thinking Bill oneshots ATT

Hmm how was PP's research? No one talks about that.

Pinkie's research was eh. I think she should have won at the time but who knows who they would have chosen and for what reason.

Twi was just hoed lol. The scaling was so off, when even at the time Twilight would've scaled to high tiers and be bare minimum star level - but clearly the sun moving is just hax..........

Funnily enough Trunks was pretty close to breaking the Saiyan losing streak if DB had gone with the original idea for this MU

It will never not be funny how they wanted the fight to be closer and then proceeded to make A.Silver massively stomp in AP dimensions infinities shit, had Immeasurable vs not immeasurable and had A.Silver basically counter almost all of Heroes Trunks abilities :V

Maybe more direct MCU stuff could have boosted some MUs back then tho.

Ngl, I think its partly because they allowed 2 votes.

This basically guaranteed a stable good rematch option would get a lot of votes. ChiefSlayer was basically the auto-runner-up for many. Hell, I would have voted for M2Shadow & ChiefSlayer. It might have won with only 1 option too, but I feel it might have been bit closer at least.

Mark at this point of the series is as strong if not stronger than Nolan. Also why would Thaedus risk his life going through the planet if he wasn't going to contribute anything and Nolan was actually doing all the work himself?

As everyone has already said: I'm hoping that Invincible Season 3 has better animation than Season 2 did outside of some select few instances. It still surprises and disappoints me that Amazon took Invincible, one of their highest rated and successful shows on Prime, and didn't give the second season as much care as season one did.

Like come on Amazon, Invincible is such an easy money printer. Give the people who work on it enough time to cook what they want to make.
