How far into watching Samurai Jack are you currently?
    TheRustyOne
    TheRustyOne
Nothing. I may have seen some episodes years ago and I think I saw some episodes of Season 5 but I've never actually sit down and watched Samurai Jack.

    Hagane_no_Saiyajin
Well, I'm not sure if any of the knowledgable members of Samurai Jack are going to be of any help for Jack vs Rin (Dark Caroica said he doesn't do match-ups), so if you might be able to find some time to do that, your input would be very much welcomed (of course you don't need to be obligated to do it)
    TheRustyOne
    TheRustyOne
I'm like 90% certain Samurai Jack's is wrong and is going to be downgraded... at a snails pace. But I saw that durability rating came from a temperature feat and instantly went to see if anyone is talking about it. And there is a CRT going on that addressed it. But it seems like no one cares about Samurai Jack all that much.

I can't really do anything besides a bump, since I don't know the series.

Sorry, I have zero knowledge of any of these characters. And I'm not really okay with just FRAing a thread just because other people are. I usually want to have knowledge on one of the characters before voting. But honestly I don't really know Undertale or Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou.

A little of Undertale, but not enough to be confident in voting against or for Sans.
Oops!! There was a corruption resistance oversight for the Senran shinobi, I also forgot to mention that there were still a few more abilities I found to go over on the Senran Upgrade Thread, my bad, sadly, they're all the way back on Page 2-
    TheRustyOne
    TheRustyOne
I really dislike such comedic moments to not be taken seriously. I think such an ability should only be mentioned when it's that, an actual ability they posses. Like Deadpool's things or something. Those this happen more than once, or is this the only occasion?

There was a moment or so where Haruka broke the fourth wall, although Peach Ball is a non-canon spin-off iirc

Alsoooo, it's like how Goku has limited fourth wall awareness--
    TheRustyOne
    TheRustyOne
Goku has done it multiple times to my knowledge, Asuka having a single time (For advertisement) doesn't seem right for me.
Sorry if I seemed stand-off-ish, I just worry about the validity of my calcs after all is something comes up and I assumed that you would know what I was talking about (everyone here knows compressive strength = pulverazation after all)

Although I mainly wanted to share some criticisms I had with the first Senran Kagura anime (the dub at least) to see if you agree with me or not:
    • It's rushed - We are not given any time to connect with the characters and we don't get the know them, we are just immediately introduced to them and then we get to them fighting the Hebijo students. Although we are given their backgrounds which for the most part are respectful to the original game (except Hikage) but at the same time they just feel forced, as if the anime is desperate to get you to care about them. In comparison Burst goes the long way in deconstructing the line between good and evil to show that perhaps there really isn't that much different through multiple character interactions and perspectives and showing how their personalities clash while the anime just has the Hanzou and Hebijo girls just be like this 'we are friends and we get along well with each other' mentality which on the surface seems to good but it's not realistic, their clashing personalities would actually get them into a lot of conflict with each other just like real friendships can do, and that actually happened in the game believe it or not; in NInja Flash though you get zilch of that!!
    • Characters shouldn't be able to read kanji - looking at the backgrounds of all the characters I would say the only characters who would be totally fluent with kanji would be Ikaruga, Haruka, Yagyu, and Homura; the rest's skill would be either shaky or non-existent, especially with the spidery written kanji on the Secret Ninja Scroll
    • Voices are hit or miss - Sure, some of the VAs are able to portray the characters to which they respect the original material like Ikaruga, Katsuragi, Yomi, Haruka, and to my surprise Homura; however there are some VA's that I would change out like for Hibari and Hikage, honestly it would be better if Cherumi Leigh were voicing Hibari (and using third person like in the original) and either Christina Stroup or Molly Searcy were voicing Hikage since they have voiced characters that have similar personalities. And maybe to spice things up, perhaps Teri Rogers should voice Haruka with a French accent
    • Not enough swearing - Not to say that I promote it but it's hard to deny that some of these characters should be total pottymouths and dropping swears like no tomorrow. I was able to count only 34 swears and most of them have either mild to medium harshness in my opinion. I'm just saying this because Funimation has produced more crasser dubs than this, Yu Yu Hakusho and Black Lagoon have swears littered throughout, and in Panty & Stocking there are over 375 clips of characters just using the f word alone. The VAs are definitely not against swearing after all, Monica Rial (Homura's VA) was Stocking after all, and Brittney Karbowsky has been shown to have a potty mouth in outtake reels
    • Is tone deaf when it comes to fights and violence - I really to wonder if the people making it ever watched an episode of Dragon Ball in their lives. Now to be fair the original game didn't show any gore when fighting which can be mostly forgiven because video game has its programmed limitations on what it can be shown and even made up for that by other means, in an anime however there are no limitation and you can go all out!! Like show bruises, cuts, broken bones, sudden amputation, evisceration, decapitation, anything to sate my intense battle loving self. I mean the beginning explicitly said that shinobi did assassinations, so what's wrong with killing a couple of red shirts in brutal ways? And another thing that I moan about the battles is that girls underwear for their combat outfits are all wrong!! 3DS Burst has explicitly specific underwear for their combat outfits that for the most part feel consistent with what they are wearing but in the anime they simply ignore all that and go with the default swimsuits of the games with only being concerned about showing boobage. I think the scene where Yagyuu enters the shinobi kekkai with Hibari and Haruka, we are told that it's risky for outsiders to enter a shinobi barrier and what happens with Yagyuu? She gets hospitalized for some vague and unexplained tiredness, you know they could be more explicit with the reasons not to enter a shinobi kekkai, like maybe Yagyuu get some severe burns, loses a limb, or something, just any more relatable injury than just whatever we got here. Honestly, Guren no Hebi is more in line with the Senran Kagura I want to see with an adaptation
    • Good ideas, poor execution - I definitely will admit that while the Linked Shinobi Barrier is a good idea on paper, I just don't think it was executed well enough. I mean considering its weakness is that it can destabilize when one of the shinobi who created that barrier gets defeated, it's rather dumb have those shinobi fight in the first place. that's not to mention that you need those shinobi to be in the right mindset. You know what would be a better idea? Have multiple puppets controlled by Haruka be the ones to create the barrier, it would solve both problems because she can share her mind between the puppets and if a puppet gets destroyed she can easily make another take its place. Also, instead of having the barrier be one on one fights, why not have a series of barriers the characters need to go through with enemies of increasing strength in order to get to Haruka like with how Castlevania is set up. Another thing in poor execution is Asuka's 'inner strength', we really don't see it but instead told about it, like we never get any hint about it so the final fight scene comes off as Deus ex Machina when they defeat Dogen. If we compare Asuka to Ichigo for a moment, we can definitely see that he has an inner strength with White Zangetsu, within the Soul Society arc there is a lot of littered foreshadowing on his hollow side, so when it appears when Ichigo defeats Kenpachi, it's feels much more satisfying to see

Interesting thoughts, however I have not actually seen the Senran Kagura anime. My experience with the series remains mostly in the console and handheld games. I did see a few episodes of Shinovi Masters, but I have no memory of it beyond the opening scene and intro. That CRT was the first time I'd taken a look at the manga.

I've seen like a handful of clips or gifs from the first anime. However a Senran Kagura English dub sounds horrible to me. I'm not a "original language is always superior" type of guy. But I've seen so much of Senran Kagura in Japanese the thought of listing to it in English just rubs me the wrong way.

Apologies for bothering. But how exactly skilled is Homura in battle? I'm god awful at explaining things and I could use some help.

A little hard to say, ihmo, she's kinda like Kenpachi (and by proxy Daidouji) in a way with how she attacks

Also, we may or may not get 6-C Senran Kagura in the future, just depends if my new calc for Kagura gets accepted or not
You okay there? It seems that you're about to having a mental breakdown in SK upgrade thread

    Nah I'm good today.

Yesterday I was iffy (Learned some bad news), and I was really tired as I was getting ready to sleep towards the end so I had like no energy.

Honestly that entire day had me drained.
Which do you think is better? OG Asuka or Gon Asuka?

I can understand why the original is liked, it's iconic after all, although I think Asuka for the other design can represent her maturing as a character as she gains more of a perspective of her world. She grows from being naive, gullible, clumsy, and brash-minded to being more level-headed, thoughtful, perseptive, and assured of herself. I also wouldn't say it's unreasonable for her to think one day, "I really like my shinobi uniform, but as I head into more battles, it may not be a bad idea to try something that's more durable and won't get grabbed so easily, along with not being so loose around my boobs."

Wouldn't mind a costume change in general. I really like some of the New Link designs, and would like to see more outfit changes that aren't just for appeal for gameplay.

But actually changing their outfits for real. (I'm basic I know, but I really like the New Link designs for Gessen and Hebijo teams)

It feel ironic that for a while, Senran Kagura relied on a couple of calcs made by a user with dubious fan-ship but now the real fans are finding more feats and creating more calcs for them
Hey. So small question. I'm trying to remember why it is we don't use RWBY storm feats anymore? Considering we have four instances of Maidens doing it I don't believe its an outlier or anything.
    SilentLyfe
    SilentLyfe
Well besides Raven, Penny after acquiring the Maiden powers showed two instances of creating storms, meaning that Maidens are capable of creating them.

Although these ones were more localized, so I’m not sure about the level of energy, but considering that Penny was able to knock out Cinder by amping her beam with it could mean they are still that level.
    TheRustyOne
    TheRustyOne
No they aren't, you need calcs to prove it and Penny's storm is smaller than Glynda's storm from Chapter 1. Which gave 9-A results.

They don't compare to the horizon blocking one Raven did. Which seems like an outlier if this is the best a Maiden can do, such small storms are consistent compared to Raven's old outdated storm. You see the problem?
    SilentLyfe
    SilentLyfe
You’re right. I’m just showing these to prove that Maidens are capable of creating them not just manipulating existing ones. I do hope that they show more so they can be consistant.

    Thanks for answering my questions.
Eyo! I got a simple question if you don't mind, but what does Dekus (Pre-final act) 8C keys scale to?

    Thanks in advance!
    TheRustyOne
    TheRustyOne
At least 8-C, possibly High 8-C characters scales to being several times weaker than 8% Deku. (0.73 Tons and 2.7 Tons)

Planning on making a note on the verse page to explain any confusion regarding scaling. But yes 8-C characters scale to 0.73 tons.
Hey Rusty, for All Might’s Tokyo Sky egg feat the tower hasn’t seemed to fall at all during all mights travel. Could we use the timeframe before the speed of gravity (9.81 m/s) starts to kick in as a time frame (essentially just 1/9.81, or if you think it should be half way, then 1/4.405)
    TheRustyOne
    TheRustyOne
The tower wasn't in free fall from what I remember.

It was tilting off, which is vastly different and requires knowledge beyond my expertise to calculate. You'd probably need it's volume, mass, tilt angle, center of gravity, how solid the foundation is, and other stuff I don't know about in order to find out how fast it'd fall.

This is beyond my knowledge, so I have nothing to add beyond this.
    Mapl3Sy4up
Ah, don’t worry Im also to dumb for that.
I’m trying to find more cause Therefir rejected the dive bomb. Planning on remaking it using superhuman (cause pro heroes are superhumans and even Number 6 in his charred burnt state where he was essentially already dead was still FTE to civilians) and Altostratus clouds instead
    TheRustyOne
    TheRustyOne
Already having this discussion on this thread. Currently the feat will likely be dropped.

To my knowledge I do not see why it'd scale to their physicals. There was talk to remove it awhile back, but I'd forgotten all about it and I assume the person I was taking to about it also forgot as well.

Considering the head on crash I found made Muramasa shut down to repair, and Kageaki stated the damage they did take was still lucky. I have doubts.

Also those weak points don't matter for a full body collision. Those weaknesses are there to keep them flexible, there is basically no armor there and swords can fit through the gap. Ignoring Kageaki's injures, the actual armor itself was damaged so bad that Muramasa had no choice but to shut down and focus on repairs.

Having weak points doesn't magically make the entire armor brittle. He took a brunt collision from crashing into the ground, and did major damage. Armor can't really scale to it, unless there is any reason to assume otherwise. Not shattering into pieces isn't a good point, as it was still vastly damaged.

Speed and Weight from the calc is still wrong.

    TheRustyOne
Thinking about it, such a conversation is best saved for a future thread and not here.

I'm still grateful of the recommendation, and I'll do my best to find out as much as I possible can in the time I have. I already have some ideas, though they're only ideas right now.

Cool, just let me know when you make the thread.
Hey. How are you? Sorry if I'm bothering you, but since you were the one that did the Cinder melting blog I was hoping if you could take a look at this. Would this be something that can be used instead? If yes, it would make her and the Maidens baseline 7-C.
    TheRustyOne
    TheRustyOne
My calc was a low ball, since we couldn't see all of the holes leading into Amity.

I didn't notice that Concept Art showed 8 layers (Only used 3 layers). The calc needs to be uploaded into a blog however, offsite calcs are not accepted.

So if calc group member finds the calc is correct, I don't see how it'd be a problem. I personally don't see anything wrong with it.
    SilentLyfe
    SilentLyfe
Alright. I made the blog and got it accepted. So here is the CRT to upgrade them.
Hey Rusty i was thinking shouldn't be wrote a note on Izuku page explaining why it shouldn't be used on his 100%?
like its pretty exhausting explaining the work of 100% everytime

Hey Rusty sorry to ask but can you tell me what is the ap of high 8-C Final Act Deku?
    TheRustyOne
    TheRustyOne
Base Izuku in the previous arc is scaling to 3X weaker than his 8%. Current Izuku is an unknown amount stronger than that version of himself.

We scale backwards from Twin Impact, since Monoma can harm 8% Izuku with that Quirk which multiplies his attack by several times. Which is at least 3, and at most 11. Since 12 would be a dozen, and not several is more than 2.

    At least 8-C (8.12/11 = 0.73 Tons), possibly High 8-C (8.12/3 = 2.7 Tons)
    Popted2
    Popted2
    thanks
Your 8-B Nevermore Calc apparently isn't viable because of some Thread Wokistan made a month ago about Giant Birds breaking the rules of Biology or Physics or something like that. He linked it in your CRT.
    TheRustyOne
    TheRustyOne
It was something different, and I replaced it with a Low 7-C version.

It was never rejected though, only one calc group member comment on it and said it was fine. However that was for the previous version, which was 8-A.

I remade the calc when suggested in a thread and got Low 7-C, I never got a chance to get another evaluation though.
hi Mr Rusty, sorry to bother you but i think that Deku and Mirio should have some scans for their Analytical prediction, just to demonstrate they have it
    TheRustyOne
    TheRustyOne
Ask Therefir about this, he'd be a lot better at it than me.

Since I have no idea what page I'd have to link. Since... Analytical Prediction isn't some obvious ability like fire breath. I'd probably just link multiple chapters and tell people to read it. I'm not good with things like this, since I talk way too much.
    Popted2
    Popted2
i see i'll ask him then, thanks Rusty
Are you knowledgeable on One Piece?
    TheRustyOne
    TheRustyOne
Not really. I know of One-Piece but I've never really sat down and watched the series.

I think I may have saw some of it back when it was on 4 Kids? But I haven't had the time to read up on it, and honestly don't know when I will.
    RandomGuy2345
    RandomGuy2345
Then I take it that your experience with One Piece isn't good, considering that you watched the 4Kids! version of it.
Ello! Sorry to bother you, but since you seem extremely knowledgeable on BNHA, can you give your input on this thread?

Or if not, can you tell me how Dekus precog and analytic stuff work? Would it be enough for him to go toe to toe with someone who's far more experienced and skilled than him?
Bro. Why didn't u include the displacement of the clouds it was maaddd Impress
    TheRustyOne
    TheRustyOne
    I'm back for a second.

Because clouds feats might be under review as a whole. "Cloud density is seemingly becoming a problem due to how that varies at certain heights. Along with air displacement, and something about longitudinal wave and how vacuums aren't formed when an explosion goes off. But our calcs assume all air is moved, which would create a vacuum but they usually don't.

I'm not certain if this is right, but I've been hearing a lot of stuff and it's too confusing for me. So it's best to not even try and calc the KE of the storm being blown away until that is sorted out. The calc I made is just the strength of the shockwave they made, which is like an explosion."

This is far better than using a sketchy cloud KE thing, when the density is currently under question.
