I'm not entirely sure how much of 9-Nine could be discussed in terms of vs battles, since the verse as a whole isn't about raw destructive power but more hax/mystical power. Going through didn't really mention any feats that'd take AP beyond their current rating, though considering their hax such a thing isn't needed.

In terms of just normal discussion... I'm not very comfortable with talking about verses such a these with other people outside of a versus battle mentality. I'm reserved in those kind of things, and is why I'm bringing up AP and stats stuff right now. Since I don't really talk much beyond I like it a lot, and that's it.

My apologies, but I'm not a person who can have casual discussions. In such cases I'd only really respond when something catches my interest, which can be very random or even outright confusing at times. The choice of such a thread belongs to you of course, just that my participation would be very limited and sporadic.

I'd rather not waste your time or cause any issues with my strange habits. Once again I'm very sorry.

That's fine.

Btw i recommend you read a visual novel called "Full Metal Daemon Muramasa", i have been working on the verse, still got a few profiles i want to eventually make. Anyway if you wanna know what my favorite visual novel is, it's this. If you are gonna read it go in blind, don't read any reviews or even the summary i put up for the verse on the page.

Like this series completely blew my mind, and had me contemplating deep moral issues.

Interesting, I'll take your word and go fully blind on it.

I've just currently finished the game, and I can say with full certainty that it's without a doubt one of my favorite visual novels. Might actually be my actual favorite when it comes to a serious story. Took me around 65 hours to get through what I believe to be most of it. Doubt I got all the bad ends, but I'm not really clamoring for that.

When I first started I was taken back by the protag (Yuhi), until I realized the switch. The second the teacher revealed himself as the killer and Kageaki came on it was obvious. I was very interested however, by why he killed Yuhi. Had a feeling he was going to kill him when he met him outside though, but it was very sudden.

A blunder I had was how long it took me to realize one evil and one good must die. The law is stated in the intro anytime you opened the game, but it wasn't until the game straight up spelled it out for me that I realized why he was killing them. Felt so stupid, since the number of people he killed always matched as well.

My first ending wasn't a bad end, managed to avoid it somehow. But I got Ayane's "Hero" ending, and yes I was actively trying to raise Otori's affection points. Unaware that she was going to die for it, I was confused and interested on why. Especially how it got no CG or anything, just happened with some text.

Ichizo Sorimachi... now there is a character that sticks with you. But I shouldn't really talk about every character or I'd go on forever. Many of these characters really do stick with you, which is a strength for visual novels in general. Hikaru, Chachamaru, Muramasa, Raicho, even characters like Wolf and Clive held my interest.

I do like the game never force an answer down your throat and make you accept it. It gives you a lot of options and opinions on it, but never suggest what is truly right. Now the biggest shock I received in this game is... embarrassing. Should be the reveal about Kageaki and Hikaru's relationship. But I had a feeling beforehand.

Her actions about her "father" didn't seem to fit with the commissioner for me. It seemed like she was talking about Kageaki, and him having that memory against Aoe stuck with me until the actual reveal. No the thing that shocked me, that actually made me stop playing for a second as I thought about it was...

The commissioner being Kageaki's father... it feels so obvious when I look back but I didn't notice it. When he called him father after Kanae killed him, I was legit shooked. Like just looking back at previous cg when we see his back, they look so similar. And Kageaki saying he killed his wife, I feel like such an idiot for not picking up on that.

It was a worthwhile experience. Kageaki trying to act normal in the race track, and scaring the crap out of that poor man asking if he desires power made me laugh out loud. I don't think any other visual novel as done that, I just wasn't expecting that face along with his voice. I got far many laughs out of this game than I was expecting.

I will say that Kageaki is one of, if not my favorite, visual novel protagonist. I enjoyed his story beginning to end, and I thank you for the recommendation.

I went into this with some basic knowledge/expectations, basically that its suppose to be an amazing VN, and that there are no heroes.

The first chapter with Yuhi was slow for me, it was a typical school setting, and wasn't too invested, when Kageaki showed up, and seemed heroic, i basically denied it, however him killing Yuhi left me shocked, i expected him to reject that he was a hero, but for him to behead Yuhi, came out of nowhere.

From that point i was hooked, wanted to know why he did it. As for the routes i took, also got the Hero first, for me Ayane just like her name was straight, what you see is what you get, a girl obsessed with justice, but Otori clearly had ulterior motives so i wanted to know what they were.

In terms of the routes, The Hero had me really contemplating about good and evil, the characters really shined. From there i went the Otori route which in comparison imo was a step down, but was still good, cause basically we just had a route diving into morality, and then switching to a revenge story, where we already get beat on the head that all murder is wrong, and the killer of the demon is also a demon.

However i liked how it approach stuff, how it was more so about what an evil doer deserves than what is good or evil. The ending there was bittersweet, Otori who lived her whole life by her code of vengeance falling in love, and her code cracking, i think she sines there, but the best versions of Kageaki are in the other routes, cause the who time he never really changed, he just wanted to die.

Hikaru as a character was very interesting, at first i was thinking that Muramasa is what drove her insane, added to the bad water she drank which ws said o be able to cause personality changes, but then its revealed she is Hikaru's dream, to me basically she is Hikaru unrestricted by morality, so it's really that she is a different person, that was always in her, but was sealed off.

Those are some of my thoughts, don't wanna make this too long, as i definitely could.

Btw is there anything you think should change about the current pages? I wanted to make more profiles for like Soramachi, Shishiku etc, but keep getting side track by other series.

I have issues with the Low 7-C calc being used. A quick look, the Low 7-B and higher stuff appear fine to me. Wanted to make that clear before going in.

It has been well established that a Musha will die on impact if they crashed into the ground with their own speed. (Just falling from a high height can cause great harm) They aren't slamming into each other with all of that energy, yes they rely on potential/kinetic energy however they don't crash into each other with their full weight.

Reaching such speeds by itself isn't durability, as planes/jets can reach high speed but the potential energy they have doesn't equal their durability. The sword takes advantage of that energy to try and slice through them, but it doesn't hit with the full kinetic energy. If it did hit with the full energy that means they'd stop in midair.

They parry, dodge, or slice pass each other. The results do not actually scale to the Tsurugi's durability or even AP. Since that is the energy they'd unleash when crashing, not the energy that hits them when a sword makes contact with them.

A thrust would carry allow all of the kinetic energy to hit, the game even acknowledges it. And says that a thrust with their kinetic energy would pierce even the sturdiest Tsurugi. Of course surface area also takes a large part into this. They'd have to crash right into each other for the full energy to hit. Or a thrust which goes right through them.

Also the speed is possibly incorrect, as there are statements that contradict them being able to move over Mach 1200. Suzukawa states his speed is nearing 600 and his height is 900. I'll assume he means meters here. While he does go faster, a jump from 600 m/s to 420000 m/s is absurd.

However the statement you use to get them at Mach 1200 also says they're nearing supersonic speeds, which is a contradiction to them moving over 1200X faster than sound. Since the difference between nearing supersonic speeds and suddenly becoming over 1200X faster is very large.

However planes/jets' speed are usually measured in knots, and using 600 knots gets us 308 m/s. Which is nearing supersonic speed like it was stated they charged at. Fraction of a second, traveling a distance that even a marathon runner would hesitate to walk is just flowerily language. And this game is full of that kind of language.

Also Racing Crux, the fastest time for a single lap is 1:25:13. This time is measured in minutes, seconds, and milliseconds as you can see here. Unless the race track is larger than every country in the world, I think 420000 m/s for their flight speed is absurd.

I think Supersonic speed would work for most Musha. As they have multiple feats/statements of being faster than sound.

I noticed some good AP/Durability feats I believe, but I need to read through most of it again before judging anything.

Actually Kageaki did into crash head first into the ground in Nemesis. However both of his legs were broken and wouldn't move, he had a concussion and was bleeding from his abdomen. Muramasa actually shut down to repair herself, meaning the damage was very severe.

So they can somewhat withstand their own charge into the ground, however this isn't really isn't full scaling considering the damage he took. If we could find a higher speed value for them and a weight for the Tsurugi, maybe we could get results the he can downscale from? Though he did say they were lucky to get off with that damage.

The thing with that is we know tsurugi aren't durable throughout, they have weak areas, joint, genitals, neck etc, so you can say they can't survive falls so their durability can't be above a certain threshold, but are we factoring their weakness in that?
