While I'm glad Final Fantasy is coming back to Death Battle, I really hope the next character isn't from 7. Plenty of matchups work with characters outside of 7.

Supposedly this isn’t the actual Justice League but more so an in universe version of the JL, so like Batman is a Bat Faunus and stuff. So hopefully this doesn’t make too big of a difference in power scaling if it happens to be canon, which it might not be since they’re using vols 1-3 RWBY designs. (Though this means there’s hope to see Pyrrha again!)

I prefer Bill Cipher vs Discord. I’ve been asking for that matchup ever since Bill Cipher appeared in Gravity Falls. They can just play off of each other so well.

You can say the connections are meh, but the music and animation potential would be awesome and the battle itself is themathic

Bill vs Discord is good, but i just prefer Bill vs Shuma more, probably because Shuma Gorath is my favourite Marvel villain lol

Black and Reverse has that taken idenity/ruining the hero's life gimmick while Scrouge only shares the alternate doppelganger with black and even then Black is just zamazu who stole goku's body from another timeline while Scrouge is literally an AU evil sonic

Ridley vs Vile (Metroid vs Mega Man X) (I actually commissioned a track to Brandon for this matchup)
Inferno Cop vs Axe Cop (the single best opponent for Axe Cop)
Link Battle Royale (Similar to the Mega Man Battle Royale, it'd be the 5 in Smash (so Adult Link, Young Link, Toon Link, Twilight Link and BotW Link))
Cell vs Zygarde (a thematic hero vs villain matchup)
Rayquaza vs Bahamut (pseudo-kaiju matchup)
Doomsday vs 682 (mostly to see how they'd establish what's "canon" for a character like 682)

I’ve seen Brandon do a commission for Dimentio vs Wilfre. Also I personally would remove Young Link and just lump him in with Adult Link since it’s still OoT. I would also add Skyward Sword Link.

Steven vs Star aside, probably the prime candidate for a hand drawn episode (we've had multiple hand drawn episodes in one season before. Jack vs Afro and Mario vs Sonic 2 were both Season 5).

Most likely. But Discord vs Bill Cipher can work with sprites as well. They both have some pretty good sprites that can be used as well as throwing in some hand drawn segments too, especially when it comes to the wacky powers and humor.
