Anyway

RIP Beskar spear, I really liked that spear. Anyway it was said to be able to pierce through Beskar armour, so 8-A with it?

Looks like Mandalorians have a force shield thingy capable of tanking a lightsaber as well, but I'm not sure if Din has that.

Pre Vizsla used the Darksaber to fight Maul too so it'll be on that level as well.

Have you watched the episode?

It was melted and reforged into an unknown gift to Grogu (looked like chainmail) since Mandalorians forbid using Beskar for weapons

which is kinda sad imo cuz I liked that spear lol

"Obi-Wan doesn't need to be on the high ground, the high ground just needs to exist within the battle; Obi-Wan knows that when he has the low ground, he really has the high ground, from a certain point of view; see Diagram A.

Look at his battle record:

Maul: Has low ground, wins Example A

Dooku: No high ground, loses

Dooku rematch: No high ground, loses Example B.

Greivous: Has low ground, wins Example C

Vader: Has high ground, wins

Vader rematch: No high ground, loses

Obi-Wan with the high/low ground is canonically the most powerful Jedi.

This is fact. Had Yoda not denied his request to battle The Senate with typical Jedi arrogance, Obi-Wan could have defeated Palpatine in the Senate building, which housed a variety of different altitudes.

This was designed so that the Chancellor could always have the moral high ground in political debates.

But Obi-wan didn't fight The Senate, and Yoda soon learned that you can't cleave the Sheev in a normal 1v1.

Yoda is shorter than virtually every other fighter, which gives him a permanent low-ground disadvantage; however, his saber-fighting style utilizes a flipping-heavy technique in order to negate this weakness for a temporary window.

You'll notice that, as he falls from the central podium in The Senate's building, he immediately retreats, knowing that he can never hold the high ground in this duel.

You'll also notice that, while training Luke, he rides on him like a mount, to gain the intellectual high ground and accelerate Luke's training. Example D .

Obi-Wan's defensive Form III lightsaber style synergizes with his careful military maneuvers; as he only strikes when prepared, he can always hold the strategic high ground.

You'll come to realize that Commander Cody's artillery strike failed against Obi-Wan, when hundreds of Jedi were killed in similar attacks.

Cody failed to grasp the strategic situation, as the Jedi Master's elevation was superior to his by hundreds of meters, making him virtually unkillable. Had Cody taken his time and engaged the Jedi on even terrain, he could have possibly succeeded.

Obi-Wan then retreated under the surface of the lake, so that he could maintain the topographical low/high ground. In RotS, you'll notice that all the Jedi killed were on level ground with the clones, thereby assuring their demise.

As we all know, spinning is a good trick.

However, only the Chosen one can spin outside of a starfighter. Palpatine tried spinning, but he lost due to this technique (but this was intentional, as losing gave him the emotional high ground when Anakin arrived).

The reason for this is that spinning provides a yin-yang approach to combat (based in Eastern philosophy on balance), giving the spinner the high ground from above and below.

Only the Chosen One can master the spin, as it is their destiny to maintain balance in the universe.

This is why Obi-Wan was so emotional after defeating Vader on Mustafar; he expected to lose the high ground to the spin, but Anakin fell to the dark side and could no longer use his signature trick, becoming the very thing he swore to destroy.

Anakin doesn't hate sand for the reasons he told Padme; all Jedi hate sand, as the battlefield can rapidly change between low and high ground on multiple vectors.

So your perspective must be from a certain three-dimensional point of view in order to comprehend who holds the high ground. This is the only reason why Obi-Wan killed Maul in Rebels.

This is also why Obi-Wan hates flying; there is no gravity in space, therefore there is no high or low ground from any frame of reference (This also negates the spinning trick, as noted in Example E).

It took the Tusken Raiders years of conflict against Old Ben Kenobi to grasp his superiority in terrain advantage, as you see them visibly flee in ANH when they realize he holds the low (inverse-high) ground.

Additionally, Obi-Wan's victory in the cantina against the drunkard was assured, as he held the temperamental high ground, his actions more calculated and well-thought than the alcoholic, who was so uncivilized.

In ANH, Vader proves his newfound mastery by engaging Obi on perfectly even ground. However, Obi-Wan intentionally sacrifices himself on the Death Star, so that he could train Luke from a higher plane of existence, thereby giving him the metaphysical high ground Example F.

Why was Vader so invested in the construction and maintenance of the Death Star? Because he knows Obi-wan can't have the high ground if there's no ground left. Image A.

As seen through the events of the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan was known to be on friendly terms with Senator Organa, whose homeworld held large quantities of mountainous terrain, the perfect habitat for a Jedi Master.

Grand Moff Tarkin was already in position to destroy Alderaan as a first target, as the distance from Scarif to Alderaan was too vast to reach between the escape and recapture of the Tantive IV, even at 1.0 lightspeed. Alderaan had been the initial target all along, as Obi-Wan with the high ground was the primary threat to the Death Star.

How? Because a moon-sized space station would have some form of gravitational pull, thereby negating Obi-Wan's zero-gravity weakness; Obi-Wan with the perpetual high-ground in a low-orbit starfighter would easily be able to fire proton torpedoes through a ventilation shaft, although the Empire was uncertain of the specific weakness of the Death Star planned by Galen Erso (who was a good friend).

In Return of the Jedi, you can see that the Throne Room contains a variety of different altitudes; Palpatine placed these there to ensure Vader's defeat. However, Sheev failed to realize that his weakness was no ground, and should have covered that useless gaping pit which does nothing.

A common misconception is the idea of a 'prostrate position' version of the high ground, wherein Obi-Wan lies flat on his back, giving him tactical superiority from his point of view. However, this strategy is futile, as for the high ground to come into effect, there must be a differential between parties on both the x-axis and y-axis to a moderately significant variation from both absolutes (Angles only a Sith would deal in).

For Obi-Wan's high ground powers to have full effect, he must stand between 15 and 75 degrees (π/12 to 5π/12 radians) diagonal from his opponent(s) on any quadrant of the trigonometric circle. See Diagram B.

In conclusion, Obi-wan abuses spatial relativity and Taoist doctrine in order to always invoke his high-ground powers."

guys based on the star wars comment i showed above

does this mean obi-wan can beat goku depending on the location? (since obi-wan might have the high ground in certain locations)

could he defeat any character no matter how powerful as long as they don't mess with the high ground and obi-wan is in a location that gives him the high ground?

wait a minute in vs battle wiki there are multiple high grounds

when a character defeats another character via tier. (Tier high ground)

when a character has higher tier but loses to lower tier via hax (Hax high ground)

when a character has both hax and tier ground but loses to speed (Speed High ground)

when a character has all the above high grounds but loses because of tier 1 (Higher dimensional high ground)

when a character loses to other character because of range (Rang High ground)

when a character loses despite tier and hax high ground because of Intelligence (intellectual high ground)

then there's stamina high ground and lifting strength high ground. (the winner of the match depends on who has the highest number of high grounds and what high grounds they have as you can have multiple high grounds like tier and hax but lose to someone with only one high ground like speed)

Edit:

example

Obi-wan defeats son goku because his high grounds are Tier high ground, speed high ground, lifting strength high ground, and hax high ground.

but Goku from dragon ball Z wins because he has tier high ground, speed high ground, lifting strength high ground, and more.

The high ground is now a philosophical concept.

What makes something a high ground in the first place?

when its higher than the rest. (though it depends on your perspective just like how Darth maul had the high ground but from Obi-Wan's perspective he had the high ground so that's why Maul lost)

hey guys a fandom user on wookieepedia posted a very funny/awesome star wars theory

I’ve come up with a theory about starwars.wikia.com/wiki/The_Force , and it ties into all of the films and television series, as well as some of the novels. It may also give us a clue as to what starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Episode_VIII and starwars.wikia.com/wiki/IX may have in store...

Theory: the Force is starwars.wikia.com/wiki/blue.

In its natural state, the Force’s color is blue.

Mind-boggling, right? The dark side… the light side… they’re not important. Those are simply shades of the color blue (so technically they’re the “dark blue side” and the “light blue side”). What truly matters in the blue side of the Force.

The first one to recognize the Force’s true colors was starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Darth_Sidious .

He realized that the color blue had power. Here’s why:

In starwars.wikia.com/RotS, Chancellor Palpatine has two aides: starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mas_Amedda, a blue Chagrian, and Sly Moore, a not-blue Umbaran. When Palps becomes the Emperor and establishes his starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Galactic_Empire , he is quick to show his speciesist beliefs. Aliens are treated as inferior, with entire races being enslaved.

Yet, strangely, Palps lets two aliens have high-ranking positions within his Empire: Mas Amedda (Grand Vizier) and starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Thrawn (Grand Admiral). What do these two have in common? They are both blue aliens. Notice how starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sly_Moore, who wasn’t blue-skinned, never appears again after RotS.

So clearly, Sidious understood that the color blue had power. We can see this in other ways:

- Anakin’s (later Vader’s) personal legion, the 501st, had BLUE as its main color

- In starwars.wikia.com/wiki/TCW , Sidious hires starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Cad_Bane , a BLUE starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Duros starwars.wikia.com/wiki/bounty_hunter , to steal a BLUE starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Holocron from the Jedi Temple

- Sidious got his clone army from starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kamino , a BLUE ocean world

- These clones used starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jango_Fett , a bounty hunter who wore BLUE armor, as their template

Blue is obviously a special color. But how do we know it has anything to do with the Force?

- starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Force_lightning is BLUE

- starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Force_spiritss have a BLUE tint to their appearance

- The Force-imbued starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kyber_crystals , in their natural state, are clearish-BLUE

This leads me to believe that the Force itself is BLUE, and it has manifested in blue things all around the galaxy. This is why Palpatine gathered all these blue things around him, so he could gain more power.

There are plenty of other examples of BLUE items that play important roles in the history of the galaxy:

- starwars.wikia.com/wiki/R2-D2 , a droid who played tremendous roles in galactic history, was a BLUE-plated starwars.wikia.com/wiki/astromech

- starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Hyperspace is BLUE

- starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Obi-Wan_Kenobi , trainer of the starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Chosen_One , wielded a BLUE starwars.wikia.com/wiki/lightsaber

- starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Anakin_Skywalker , the Chosen One, wielded a BLUE lightsaber

- starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Luke_Skywalker , son of the Chosen One, wielded a BLUE lightsaber

- starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rey wielded a BLUE lightsaber

The importance of blue is no new thing. Original concept art for both starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Yoda and starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Darth_Sidious (ūber-powerful Force-users) portrayed them as BLUE.

Like I said, Palpatine was the first one to realize that there was something special about the color blue.

starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Dooku obviously didn't understand (he wiped out the entire starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mahranee civilization in starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Disciple , which was a BLUE alien race.

He clearly didn't understand blue’s importance). But Sidious never fully understood the power of the blue side, as he was too obsessed with the dark (blue) side.

But I believe starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Snoke was the first one to fully unlock the power of the blue side.

Notice how he communicates entirely through holograms (which are BLUE?) And he said he's interested in starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kylo_Ren because he has an equal mix of starwars.wikia.com/wiki/light_side and starwars.wikia.com/wiki/dark_sides … which altogether adds up to the BLUE side!

I don't know about you, but I'm convinced that Snoke is the first true BLUE side user, and is more powerful than anyone as a result.

So that's my theory. The Force is blue.

Canon has already been revised, as you can see most profiles have been downgraded.

If you have things you want to revise feel free to bring it up because the Legends revision planning isn't going anywhere right now.

Personally I plan to revise the Star Wars street tiers a bit but I'll probably wait for the Book of Boba Fett to end.

If someone wants to take the Legends thread planning out of my hands, feel free to.

We've already done most of the heavy lifting, it's basically just power scaling characters.

The only other thing I'll probably do at this point is debunk some massive DE Palpatine misconceptions.

Edit: Finished. Just ask if you want to join and become a part of the discussion.

We should also do something about the Arquitens' ratings.

Not only are these blasts in space, but the curvature formula has been revised.

The last two episodes of the Book of Boba Fett has been top-tier TV Star Wars. Which is ironic considering that they are based on Boba Fett being completely sidelined in his own show (mayhaps with the exception of a brief cameo where he nods), and completely outshined by other characters who can carry his own show better than him.

Cad Bane: Boba Fett is a cold-blooded killer who worked with the Empire.
Looks like Cad Bane is operating on seriously outdated information regarding Boba Fett's disposition 🙃. Wouldn't be surprised if Boba tries to save Cad's life during their fight, but Cad Bane accidently dies or falls off a cliff.
Apparently there was a cancelled Clone Wars episode where Boba kills Cad, and gets the dent on his iconic helmet. So they are properly dueling. Hoping Cad doesn't die just yet though.

The best thing they can do with Boba is have him kill off all the crime lords who decided to stay neutral in order to take over the entirety of Tatooine, revealing that Boba Fett has been pretending to be timid in order to give his rivals a false sense of security as he plots their execution. Though they will properly go with a generic overcorrection of 'change a character to be extra-nice and less murderous, hoping this increases his appeal to the audience' route.

The Deepfake guy Lucasfilm hired did a great job with Luke. Wonder if they'll elaborate more on how Jedi view or should view attachments.
In a canon comic, Yoda's Lightsaber was thrown into a furnace with many other Lightsabers and destroyed, so did that get retconned or did Yoda have/make a spare Lightsaber?
We know from the... Sequel Trilogy... that Ben is Luke's first student, so the choice Grogu will make is obvious, though I hope he gets to take the Yoda knife with him.
Cute gif of Grogu jumping:

Honestly I disagree with the idea that Boba Fett should just be going around killing people. It's much better seeing how much the Sand People changed him. He was finally with a tribe that didn't abandon him at the first sign of trouble (Aurra Sing) and that's going to change him.

I agree with this.

It would be more interesting to have a competent protagonist; Boba Fett as a ruthlessly efficient and prepared benevolent crime lord, instead of just a benevolent ruler(?) who gets by with lots of luck. In the ending of the episode Boba even acknowledges that he isn't very good at the job he took over on a whim ("We are not suited for this"). I agree, but it is still baffling how a veteran bounty hunter is so clueless and naïve about how criminal empires work; he needs to be told that he should get muscles, that his wealth can be used to hire muscles, that he needs influence, the reason why the populace isn't respecting him, that the crime families he made a truce with were not trustworthy, etc.
Being changed to be kinder by the Tuskens doesn't mean that he should be unprepared and reckless when deciding to ruler over Tatooine (which he thematically has no obligation to do, since much of its population hates the Tuskens). At the end of the day, Boba and Fenn will either spend their years as figureheads, or they'll go back being mercs going around killing people.

Overall it is a scattered series, the Mando 2.5 episodes are great in a vacuum but bad for a show about Boba Fett and removed development that could've made the climax less underwhelming.
Din and Grogu having a rushed reunion in battle is surprising; hopefully interesting developments is being prepared for them in season 3 to make up for it. Also Luke sending Grogu alone to land on the most wretched den of scum and villainy is reckless.

Cad Bane stole the scenes he was in. Likely died for good, but the beeping noises gives Disney an out if they want to bring him back, and he'll likely make appearances in prequel comics or something. Either Black Krrsantan has regeneration that allows him to quickly heal a broken foot and run with it, or there are continuity errors regarding his physical wellbeing.

Slave I Boba Fett's ship not being used to provide much needed firepower is a plot hole, especially since the ship can be remotely controlled with the gauntlet.

They no longer make laser resistant walls as good as the ones in Tatooine.

The Rancor hitting and smashing Din can be used for scaling.

Is the Darksaber getting so heavy that it can barely be swung with two hands if the user goes against its will something exclusive to the Darksaber, or something that can be generalized to other Lightsabers?

The shields of the canonized robots are stated in the episode to stop kinetic weapons because they have too much velocity (in Prequels and The Clone Wars characters walk through shields and throw grenades into them), but now they also stop objects that are too slow?
