Star Wars Discussion Thread Canon/Legends- Episode V Attack of the Fanons

What's funny to me about Dark Empire is that the Eclipse-class doesn't have a Superlaser until the guide from a decade later confirmed they did.

Palpatine used other very creative superweapons (not creative in and of themselves, more in-universe and by the way they work), like the Galaxy Gun and World Devastators, that shows the Galactic Empire are learning.

But what do the creators of TRoS go for? Superlaser Star Destroyers.

What's the evidence? I'm doing a revision on that RN.
Wait you are? I was just joking I didn't know you were doing a revision on the Force.

In all seriousness though, I wouldn't be surprised if the Force turns out to be Low 1-C in Legends. There's some really weird stuff in Crystal Star.

Actually, what I want to talk about regarding Force users is augmentation.

Like I was thinking we could have their natural, unaugmented Tier and then the tier they have when augmented. For example:

9-C naturally. Up to High 6-A with the Force

I think this is generally more accurate with how Force users operate in verse.

I would be happy to help with revisions either way.

Edit: Forgot to mention this is an idea that was kinda discussed on previous threads I saw but couldn't get a conclusion on.

That makes sense.

So far, I have At least Low Multiverse level for the Force in Legends, and just Low Multiverse level in canon.

@ByAsura

You talked about the Spectral Interdictor not breaking up on entering Jakku's atmosphere, but the Invisible Hand breaking in half while entering Coruscant's atmosphere.

The Spectral was probably far less damaged in combat. The Invisible Hand had just moments prior been pummeled by the Venator-class star destroyer Guarlara (fun fact: It was Lorth Needa from Empire Strikes Back who ordered the Guarlara to engage the Invisible Hand).

I was planning something on that when I made the changes, but I guess I forgot.

The argument was that the Invisible Hand was already damaged, but another aspect was that Interdictors are made of Imperial durasteel (commonly noted for its strength), so they really could just be less sturdy than larger Imperial vessels.

Oh yeah, I've also been thinking about making some small revisions here and there.

A-Wings have light shielding. Fang Fighters, which are far less powerful than the Gauntlet Fighters, can easily one or two-shot them.
Too bad the Spearhead (A-wing's direct predecessor) wasn't adopted by the Jedi (it was introduced in the last year of the Clone Wars) over the clearly inferior Actis.

In my opinion, it was the perfect Jedi fighter. And we know that species as large as Wookiees could pilot them and there was a two-seater variant, so cockpit space and ergonomics were clearly not an issue.

Hey guys was Jorus already on the dark side basically? and outbound flight was just when jorus showed his true colors and stuff?

I agree.

His initial (and secret) motivations for the Outbound Flight were highly questionable (even if understandable on some level). He wanted to raise a generation of Jedi under his command who would save the Republic from a growing darkness (you-know-who) that he sensed and also govern the galaxy more directly. He even chose the adult passengers and their children for the flight based on probable Force-sensitivity.

Given everything we know about C'baoth, we can clearly say he was going Dark (if not full Dark) and essentially a Jedi Fascist.

I can make those edits then.

I have to say, I really like the A-Wing as well.

The RZ-2 is one of may favourite starfighters right now. The Naboo N-1 is another favourite.

My dream Star Wars starfighter is actually something of a mix of those two.

I'm probably one of the few people who doesn't love Star Wars because of the space battle stuff XD. Was discussing this on Twitter with someone a while ago and it seems like I'm in the minority I'm into Star Wars because of the more grounded lightsaber battles and the more human relationships between the Jedi.

I like star wars because of the Force as well as the more obscure and creepy stuff like otherspace and cult/supernatural encounters.

I also really love the Jedi and their philosophy and think the hate they get is overblown.

I have a lot of favourites, so I'll go by eras.

Prequels: ARC-170, Tri-Fighter, Scimitar.

OG Trilogy: TIE Defender Elite, TIE Brute, TIE Reaper (sheerly due to playing Star Wars Squadrons), B-Wing, U-Wing, A-Wing.

Sequels: TIE Silencer, T85 X-Wing.

It's really a shame the New Republic didn't have more T85s. They were the fastest, most powerful and technologically advanced X-Wings out there. If the NR mass-produced them, I'm 99% sure they would have absolutely crushed the First Order and Final Order's starfighters.

"Multi-City Block level with Darksaber (Carved through the hull of his Outland TIE Fighter)"
Why is Moff lightsaber rated at Multi City Block for this when Tie Fighter Profile linked durability is only small Building?

I think it's just scaling, and someone's applied the feat as supporting evidence. But I'm not sure.

On this note, I do think lightsabers can cut through 8-A stuff, but only because they're applying huge amounts of energy to a small area. It's shown in The Book of Boba Fett that relatively weak shields designed to stop energy and physical attacks can counter them.

Ah alright
Also shouldn't Mandalorian armour scale as he tanked Moff Darksaber or is considerated resistence to heat or Something?

Beskar is incredibly rare since the destruction of their old homeworld and the Jedi Wars.

Hmmn I guess it's kinda hypocritical that the Death Watch call themselves Mandalorian purists but don't even have Beskar armour lol.

Mando also avoids taking too much blaster fire though I presume that's to avoid internal damage to him.

Yeah, but as Asura said, it had become quite rare by the time of the Clone Wars. Sabine's armour wad handed down over generations; it was made nearly 5 centuries prior to original trilogy.

Speaking of which...

Beskar must be really ******* solid if armour made from it can be passed down from parent-to-child over several centuries.
