It's crazy that people use that, because nowhere did Oda say he'd find the One Piece. All he has to do to end the series is get his crew together and kill the Yonko.
That said, the series would end within a year if Akainu was the MC. It'd end with a one-two slash in the Baratie Arc.

This, of course, is probably including him thinking of the fact that the MC is going to be getting stronger no matter what, so you need a low enough starting point to make it interesting.
