Legend of Zelda General Discussion Thread

Gonna plan on cleaning up the Midna profile and add scans when I get home from work. Is there anything else you guys think should be added or changed?

Let's just wait for TotK before we **** with that, for all we know the moon feat was being done by the main body, and we don't know how powerful the main body is yet comparatively, like maybe him cooking up malice for tens of thousands of years made him stupid as **** strong.

Should get a calc eval'd and accepted tho in case it ends up being usable in a few months tho.

Can’t wait to do this first day:

I was thinking, but how do we treat odolwa/goht/etc. Im cooking up some Majora stuff and there's conflicting information regarding some events.
That isn't the encyclopedia, if we use shit from that we'd be looking at ******* 3-A Majora with a bunch of bullshit, but the encyclopedia is full of shit so **** it

What conflicting information?

What conflicting information?
Some things state Majora is the reason why there's a poison swamp and he cursed the waters and shit, but other info states Odolwa is the cause.
I think the logic is Majora created Odolwa as a curse, and killing Odolwa clears it up or whatever, but I can't find an explicit statement that Majora created Odolwa, but I can find information saying Majora was directly connected to the poison swamp, as well as him having sealed the Giant's spirit within odolwa
There's a connection here, but the connection isn't specified

Among other things.

Yeah I think the idea is that Majora created the four bosses since they all have that giant eye that just what Majoras eyes look like and when they die you can see a little, soul? (Dunno what it actually is) leave their body and it's in the shape of Majora. But they never say straight up that he created them.

Rough calc, (might go back and do it better when I replay TP), if everyone is fine with that, I'll blog it, it's a bit rough, but there ain't no way in **** it's dropping below Class M, it's effectively guaranteed (The PE though might be a bit more wonky, we looking at 9-A+ (Like 0.23 tons) up to 8-C (Like 0.40).

If we assume Majora created the bosses, that's Life Manipulation + Technology Manipulation.

Looks good. As long as it’s Class M it should be okay for now.

Just got off work and peeped the trailer and god Ganondorf looks so cool, also looks like we got some anti-grav stuff going on? Really laying on the technology in this game.

Also I can't believe the last mainline title to feature Ganons gerudo form was twilight princess 17 years ago.

I only watched a tiny bit of the trailer because I didn't want to be spoiled. Does it look like proper dungeons are back?
It's not entirely clear if they are back, got some parts of the trailer that seem like they'd take place in a traditional dungeon but overall seems like we'll have to wait until the game comes out to see if they're back or not.

Who is tulin?
Teba's kid

Since when did teba had sex with a partner?

He was in BOTW.

It sucked how barebones the npcs in BotW were. For instance, I thought Yunobo was going to have an arc about becoming braver, but nope. And all of the farnart of Sidon led me to believe that he had a major role, but no; every quest npc pretty much just leads you to the divine beast and that's it.

TV ad got leaked for the game. Obviously spoilers ahead don't click unless you wanna know.

Shows Link gliding towards Hyrule Castle while it's suspended in the air by malice, full confirmation that the 3 headed dragon is indeed a gleeok like everyone was predicting it'd be. Interestingly tho it's specifically called a Flame Gleeok so there'll probably be multiple of them as mini bosses like Hinox or Muldugas were in BOTW. New forest area that's really dark (Different from those pitch black ruins/woods from the first game) that you can light up by hitting little bulb things is shown off as well.

So little thing the JP website for tears of the kingdom brings up, gonna mark it as a spoiler as the implications seem pretty wild

The wording they use for Ganondorf's character info seems to imply that while he does appear to have a connection to the disaster currently befalling Hyrule he might not be the actual cause of it

Demise return? The Master Sword is broken, maybe that causes his consciousness to be free. We did see that long haired person in the trailer and I do believe he has scales on his arm.

So, what's up with Zelda's triforce mark in BoTW? Is it actually the complete triforce, a piece of it or a mark like the one that Link in the NES games have?
