Legend of Zelda General Discussion Thread

Sometimes being stronger than the Triforce makes sense, a weakened Ganondorf stomped Cia with the full Triforce in Hyrule Warriors
You realize you brought up an example of something that doesn't make sense given Ganon then proceeded to want said Triforce in order to become far, far, more powerful, and then proceeded to get far, far more powerful upon getting it 🗿

He wanted it in Hyrule Warriors because it allowed him to perform the ritual to become Ganon.

It also made him far, far more powerful, and Ganon is far, far more powerful than his base state, so, as I JUST said, that example is a blatant case of shit actively NOT making sense 🗿

Notwithstanding if you have to use HW as an example, that should be a huge red flag that isn't how it's usually conveyed.

Oh, guess Zelda didn't need to infuse the Master Sword with holy power for 10,100 years then.
To hurt him? Not really, did you forget a stray shard sliced open his crusty face and that's why they were like "uh huh k so this shit WILL work".
The holy power helped actually combat him on equal footing instead of just negging, and also like, regen it and so it wouldn't just get blown to shit again ig.
Yeah, Ganondorf beat him earlier with just the Triforce of Power.
Not making a good argument for it making sense if Ganon with an infinitesimal fraction of the full Triforce's power could win.

What's our current stance on what Ancient Arrows do? Because BotW Link still has it labeled as Void Manip and Existance Erasure, while Ganondorf's resistance is labeled under Deconstruction.

You're forgetting how Link still beat him with the full Triforce and so did any of the characters who are playable in the last level.

Thanks for proving my point in how it doesn't make sense that Ganon, infinitely more powerful than the whole cast, who was already on par, if not stronger based on him negging Link with an infinitesimal fraction of the ToP, who went out of his way to get the whole thing precisely to empower himself, suddenly lost to the dudes he beat the **** out of in an infinitely weaker form using a fraction of the thing he had now.

So nah dude, I remember, you just aren't using your head.

And the last bit is noncanon as ****, like what you think Dan Hibiki is beating Akuma because "he's playable"?

Link was able to beat him because he didn't have Ghirahim and Zant backing him up, that's literally the reason in the story. In Hyrule Warriors the reason he wanted the Triforce was because he needed it to become Ganon. He wasn't in a weaker form, he had his whole soul back by then.

I'm not talking about Free Mode. This is still in Legend Mode.

And they're actual fodder, let's not pretend that's why, they kneel to Ganon for good reason, it's because he can beat them into the dirt. By that logic Link had a whole army too. We're not talking overtaking keeps and because Ganon had help to cover more bases that's why he won in a 1v1 exchange.

Newsflash, Ganon in HW >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Human form (Who is comparable to Link).

So, again, Ganondorf, with a literal INFINITASMAL fraction was able to fight dudes who he lost to while INFINITELY MORE POWERFUL.
He wasn't in a weaker form, he had his whole soul back by then.
Are you for ******* real? Why the hell do you think he wanted the complete Triforce and to become Ganon? I'll give you a hint, it's because it's more powerful.

What you mean Lana and Zelda who also have shit and are more just distractions than actual threats?

And again, the fact you keep talking about HW is a huge red flag.

That's literally how it was presented in the game. That by killing Ghirahim and Zant they have a chance to beat Ganondorf.

He can have the full Triforce without being Ganon, which is what we're talking about.

They literally explain this in the game. It lets him perform the ritual to become Ganon.

Lana and Zelda helping Link was how they defeated Ganon, so.

Gee, literally THE strongest Zelda game in the verse except Majora's Mask and the most about fighting? Of course we're talking about it.

To win a war (and even then, not really? He was still kicking ass) not a 1v1 fight where they got their ******* asses kicked. And nice try, you keep saying useless shit while ignoring the whole "yeah Ganon with an infinitely weaker fraction of the TF is comparable if not stronger than the group, but he loses with the full thing that makes him infinitely more powerful lmao", with dumb excuses like "uh he had help", as if that changes anything, he'd sill be going from as strong, to infinitely stronger, than himself as strong as a fraction of the thing he's powering up to.

Yeah he could, and he'd be infinitely more powerful than he'd be with just the ToP 🗿

Uh huh heard that the first five times, and once again, why the hell do you think he wanted that (because he's way, way more powerful and can consolidate the omnipotent power of the triforce just like he did in the Sealing War).
Lana and Zelda helping Link was how they defeated Ganon, so.
Do I need to explain the issue? Lana << Cia, who Ganondorf ******* brutalized, they're fodder, they're more distractions while Link did the heavy lifting.
Or hey maybe it's like HW legit doesn't give a **** about internal consistency and most of the scaling doesn't make sense because it aims solely to be cool instead.

Like newsflash, half the cast is canonically weak in canon, can't actively fight.

Gee, literally THE strongest Zelda game in the verse except Majora's Mask and the most about fighting? Of course we're talking about it.
HW is a spin-off, not even the second strongest, and works entirely on rule of cool, disregards canon scaling constantly, and has its own internal problems such as Lana's scaling, things like Ghirahim, Zant scaling, shit like Agatha, Imp Midna, and more ding things they explicitly could not in mainline. And then having ****** up shit like Ganondorf being stated verbatim to be terrifyingly powerful (in base), yet with the full Triforce, something that would make him infinitely more powerful than him in a state where he has only a minuscule fraction of its absolute, losing to dudes on par, if not below, him in a infinitely weaker state. And then you say "uh huh that makes sense". Dude, no it doesn't, it's absolutely asinine. All you've done is say that it happened, like yeah n shit it happened, but it doesn't make sense and spits in the face of like everything established since OOT, and hell, shit established in that very game.

You said "sometimes it makes sense for dudes to beat full triforce", it does not, all you've done is brought a PIS riddled outlier that displays exactly why it makes no sense.

Ah got it. I've only played Age of Calamity so that's a bit out of my area of knowledge.

Speaking of AoC though, how much of an issue would it be if I made a Terrako profile?

Honestly, I would say that I'm almost finished with the profile outside of stat explanations. Do you want to take another look at it?

Nah that quote is good. But it should be an extra quote.

Like a two different big ones for each image, and then that one shared between, kinda like this

It's a good quote and is even a trailer piece.

I really feel like you're just disagreeing with me to be a contrarian at this point. In the real game it's only said once and in a secret cutscene.

Yeah, most quotes tend to be only said once? It's a plot-relevant line, took stage in the trailer, and like the most popular line in the game.
Why WOULDNT we use it?

Pretty sure it's a line relevant to every Legend of Zelda game that isn't Faces of Evil. Also anything said in any trailer could be argued to be as popular.
