God to Villain - Steel Hell (RP Thread)

fc6oDbj.jpg

Rain poured to the grounds of Dusk City, the alleyways painted in liquid. Rats crawled through the muck of the desolate region, all manner of scum crawling into the streets of Dusk City to do their business.

And in the deepest, darkest parts of the city...

...

"Engen..."

A man walked into a dark, cold room, a flickering light keeping the room alight. It was empty, devoid of any obvious furniture or anything to brighten the mood. It was akin to a... solitary confinement chamber, cut off from the outside world and any other form of contact.

"I agreed to bring them here because I thought I'd get something out of this. Now, I know you'd never lie to me, but..."

"Quiet, Mujin. They'll come."

With him, stood another. He hid in the darkness, outside of sight, but he domineered over the air... His voice made the space around him tremble, and caused the man that stood before him to shudder, the power seeping into his veins. The man, seemingly named Mujin, shook his head, putting his hands in his pockets, a sly grin plastered across the dull man's face. He breathed out.

The two men, clouded in mystery, awaited their partners.

"You sure they'll come, Engen...?"

"They'll come."

"You said that already, but..."

"I told you to wait, Mujin... No villain worth a damn would pass up a job this profitable. Just have faith."

"Faith in what...?"

"Faith in villainy."

"Having faith in a villain...? Great idea..."

And they continued to wait.

"Mind giving me a briefing on them...?"

"You doubt to much, Mujin..."

"I at least deserve a briefing..."

"....."

"Come on, Engen. A briefing. I need info on who I'm working with."

"...."

"...Please?"

"...Fine."

"Great!"

"...."

"...Mind starting?"

"...Alarak Tal'tharim. A fighter. Previously a rich kid, but kicked out of her household after murdering a servant at the age of 5. Currently a mercenary. Her Soul Edge is called Psionic. Its effects aren't publically known."

"Sounds hard to deal with. Next?"

"..."

"...Next??"

"Michael. I don't know her past. Her Soul Edge is unknown."

"Wish you had more info, but, what can you do...? Next."

"Cato Hyatt. His past is irrelevant. His Soul Edge is unknown."

"....Amazing briefings."

"You wanted information."

"This isn't information..."

"You want it or not?"

"...Fine. Next."

"Zack Johns. Known to the public as the "Painter Master". A first-rate villain, with a versatile Soul Edge that allows him to distort reality."

"Reality Distortion...? Heh. Intriguing."

"It's powerful. It's why I hired him. But it's not all-powerful."

"Obviously. Next?"

"Kiara Merlo. An unknown past, with a pathetically weak Soul Edge. But she has potential. She can grow, if put to work."

"You've always had an eye for potential, haven't you, Engen...? Heh... Next?"

"Antony Collins. Another first-rate Villain. His powers are devastating, uncontrollable, but strong when tempered. He'll be useful for some muscle."

"Is that so...? I'll keep an eye on him, then. Next?"

"Mimic. Once again, a first-rate Villain. Digging up info on him his hard, though. He's never gone public with his skills, and the Hero Association has no file on him."

"He's discreet, then?"

"Very. I didn't have time to do anymore digging."

"It'll be interesting to meet him, then... Next?"

"Finally, a woman known as Tooha. Not a lot of info on her to begin with."

"Haaaa... Well, it's a fine enough briefing. I know what to expect... somewhat, then. I guess we just need to wait, then..."

Mujin crossed his arms, staring at the door as his teeth collided with his lower lip, a shudder running through his body.

"Don't get to excited, Mujin..."

"Oh, I won't... I just... wonder. Wonder who'd join us in this Hell..."

And as such, they waited for the new arrivals...

Zack looked at the city, he did not expect this but in turn this amplified his creativity to make a hive city for his future Grimdark projects.

Mimic grimaced, his eyes carefully scanning the desolate town before him. He took a breath, coughing loudly as he felt the heavily polluted air enter his lungs. His eyes lowered to the precarious cliff below their feet, the man stepping carefully to avoid the ground collapsing underfoot.

"...This place is a shithole..." Mimic gagged, covering his mouth and nose with a hand.

"But it's our shithole. Right guys?" Mujin said with a smile, sliding down the slowly collapsing cliff upon which the group stood.

"We'll see about that." Michael said withna grimace

"If they can't even bother to keep the place in good order what hope does anyone here have of being useful?" Alarak said nonchalantly

Mimic rolled his eyes, letting out another cough. He gazed at the cliff wearily for a moment, before sliding down behind Mujin, though he was noticeably slower than the man, taking his time to ensure he took what he considered the 'safest' path down.

"What the hell is a place like this doing in the Cloud Garden, anyway?" He said. His eyes glanced at the people nearby, his sharp teeth twisting into a grimace.

"Cloud Garden is split into several districts and junk. Tokita, the one we're in, just happens to be the place the Hero Association dumps their... own "junk". Villains, former heroes, even normal everyday human criminals... To keep them under control." Mujin explained.

Mimic groaned under his breath. His body stiffened visibly, his eyes growing more paranoid as he glanced at the collection of what he now knew were criminals around them.

"...Is it too late to check one of the other paths? We don't need to deal with this shit if it ain't part of the job..." Mimic hissed.

"Oh Mimic, sweet, dear Mimic. Don't act like such a rookie! Everything is part of the job in some way." Mujin beamed, his smile growing ever wider.

"Calm down, if something happens we should be more then capable of getting out, at least, I will help you." Michael muttered to him

Mimic glowered at Mujin, before shaking his head, leading out a shaky sigh.

"...Whatever. At least we won't have those damn guards breathing down our neck..." Mimic muttered.

"Calm down, if something happens we should be more then capable of getting out, at least, I will help you." Michael muttered to him
He glanced at Micheal for a moment, before shaking his head again.

"...I can handle myself. I just don't want to take any unnecessary risks." He said flatly.

"Well, this risk isn't unnecessary." Mujin said to Mimic.

"I said Tokita housed former heroes and villains, people with insider intel on the Association's workings. Some may even be willing to...cooperate. If paid the right price." Mujin explained, his expression hardening ever so slightly

"Point I make is... I know how this works. You, on the other hand... Do not. So cooperate..."

And eventually, they reached the bottom of the cliff, dust and scorched air coating the group in a cloud of smog that had been kicked up from their impact against the ground. Though, it would clear after a few moments, the dust settling back to the ground, and through it, Mujin simply turned to Mimic and smiled happily.

"And we get the job done. 'Kay? 'Kay."

"You should probably fix that glare if you don't want a random heroin addict to try and cut out your liver when you look at them wrong." Mujin said with a shrug, "Juuuust sayin'."

“...**** off. I know how to keep my head down.” Mimic muttered. He breathed out, wiping away some of the dust that had settled on his face from the landing.
"You say that, then I have to be the one to scoop your organs up and put 'em back in there when a cracked up guy with a shank creeps up on ya and cuts you open." Mujin joked.

Mimic grimaced, shaking his head. He wiped a hand across his tired eyes, his gaze scanning the surrounding.

"...Oi, don't underestimate me. I can handle myself in a fight." He said bluntly. Though his body...stiffened ever so slightly, the man attempting to hide the slight tremor in his legs as he walked with the group.

(Bumping.)

"Oh, please, with those lanky ass arms I'd bet that you'd get your ass kicked by the kid (Kiara), let alone that skinny ass troubled artist (Zack)!" Mujin said with a cackle.

(Was waiting for Ezran-)
(Bumping.)

“...Quit trying to start shit, jackass.” Mimic hissed, rolling his eyes.

“...Muscles and shit like that don’t matter when a knife’s in your throat, anyway…”

(So was I but Ezran hasn't been online for days, he's either [busy] or [doesn't have access to the internet or technology] or [dead].)

“...Quit trying to start shit, jackass.” Mimic hissed, rolling his eyes.

“...Muscles and shit like that don’t matter when a knife’s in your throat, anyway…”
"God, you are way to fond of stabbing people! Even without that dreadful dagger you can't seem to get stabbing someone's eye out of your amoeba like mind!" Mujin said with a cackle as he walked at the forefront of the group, to the "main streets" of Tokita.

"Don't let him get to you Mimic..." Michael muttered

(Uh, currently we're entering the city, or at least a part of it because Mujin bribed the guards with sex.)
(Only Azontr)

"I-I don't want to fight..." Kiara said, nervous that something might break out.

(Irl stuff ya'll, and then I just forgot. lol, mb)

The group entered into the main roads of Tokita, which were, as one would expect, dirty, nasty smelling, and very spread out to account for the immense amount of people... There was no order to the architecture, sometimes, the roads may not have led anywhere and instead just to a dead end...

It'd definitely take a while to find a decent place to stay.

"Don't worry girl although the possibility exists in 50%, you don't necessarily have to get into the fight" Zack Said
Cato listened as he paid attention to what they were was saying.

Another checkmate. His phone made a ding sound, signalling his victory over the online enemy.

He glances at the environment as he analyzed the surroundings.
