Except Korra and Rey have good connections after all so they need not to overthink about the "Mary Sue vs Mary Sue" issue.
Korra vs Storm is boring, stompy and hampers other choices.
Off topic: As attractive Korra is, Storm is way, way more attractive.

Oh no, not denying that they have good connections. The problem is they have a "bad" connection too. Even though DB fumbles a lot, I do think they don't want to shit on characters anymore. Even if Al lost, it doesn't actively make it look like they shit on him. Its not like people would go "Hellsing sucks lol".
Korra vs Rey might lean into "LoK and nu-Star Wars sucks lol".
...Then again overuse of comics also leads to ******** so ehh
EDIT: Didn't even watch Korra so dunno why the hate and tbh Rey isn't even the issue in Sequel Trilogy. So ehhhh

Oh, Death Battle doesn't need to overthink it but its the internet. That match up is most known for the "Mary-Su" issue cause its the first thing a wide margin of people first think of when discussing connections. Korra's issue was the story of her series is not
