It has been a historical request. And with a hype of it being a 3D (Maya / Unreal / Source Film Maker / Blender) and the more recent games being 3D (and also Ryu vs Jin in 3D) makes Liu Kang vs Jago in 3D a hot choice.
We have dozens of Kamen Rider stories, each being a year length chapter with dozens of notable characters. There are a LOT of characters to choose from.
For the OG one, Captain America vs Kamen Rider Ichigo can be interesting.

Well both have been requested to face each other for years and it also helped that neither have other Alts to challenge it
