DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (2024–2025) (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

He does somewhat have a resistance thanks to his wrath, but he was pretty much the angriest and most determined (heavily influenced by Mithra and his wife) at the time as well so if Kratos tries before he gets too angry he should still be affected, the BoO is also most likely more potent then what Asura faced and has more abilities Asura can't resist though.

Dumb question: but is the manga considered canon to Asura's Wrath or is it its own thing? Not that it matters since DB is using the manga, but I was curious to know the manga's canonicity

One thing I dislike about Death Battle is that in many of the recent episodes they always try to promote an older episode via some calc or feat. But that also happened with newer releases like Wally vs Sonic with Trunks vs Silver. Like, it's clever but this doesn't take into account that some episodes are just outdated in research.

Essentially, Toys For Bob started work on Crash Bandicoot 5 around 4's release (it would've been a crossover with Spyro), but ActiBlizz shut it down due to 4's "poor performance". It's a long story but if you have an hour to spare here's the video that first broke the news:

I mean it makes sense, they took a MASSIVE risk by retconning Wrath of Cortex onwards. Plus people thought it was gonna be like N. Sane Trilogy.

Honest to God, it might be the coolest ending imaginable if Kratos pulls out the BoO, but Asura's infinite wrath makes him power through it. I might be influenced by that prediction made earlier, but I feel like that could actually be how the fight ends.
