DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (2024–2025) (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

THE GLAZER RETURNS

Red and Charizard should've won.
Using the information at the time, why?
My guess being presumably that Charizard would've Tier Stomped Agumon?
Though, isn't there Tier 6 File Island or Server/Folder Continent stuff or something?

I'd have liked to see the Pokemon side win that, but....
Same with Giorno
Unlike my heart supporting Red & Charizard in contrast to my mind, neither my heart nor my mind support this opinion.

So, no offense meant, but, perhaps against my better judgement, I wanna hear you out: Why?
is there a way in settings to mute notifications from certain accounts if that’s the case?
I also am interested in this topic.
I do not desire to ignore anyone, but I'd be a little surprised if the forum lacked such a feature.
How do you guys @ people?
When Staff (I forget which kind.) @ someone in a thread, it alerts the @-ed user. Otherwise, you need to go to their User Profile on the Forums or Message Wall or such.
Thoughts on Archaon The Everchosen vs The Lich King?
Who is the former?

I wouldn't even think Charizard would tier stomp considering Tri was already coming out by that time. There's probably stuff in there that has Agumon at a survivable level.

I think it was sarcasm, like saying "suuuuuure pal"

Does that mean only Staff can @ people in threads?
AFAIK, yes.
However, IIRC, you may be able to alert a user by quoting their post, for what that's worth. Hopefully it helps.
A character from Warhammer Fantasy.
Ah, neat!

I presume you mean not even Mega Charizard vs Agumon?
Also, coming out? Like, had been announced, or was already midway through airing episodes at the time?

Ah, they didn't sincerely support Giorno winning then, you mean?
If so, lol, my bad on the understanding. If that Giorno can't win is what they were expressing, then yeah, I can definitely see THAT side, lol. No offense meant.

They included HGSS, which gives Red's team 5-B in Base. Also X Items, shitloads of heals, and Affection would come into play.

It does? Is that true even with At The Time scaling?
& FWIW, has Red ever demonstrated using Affection?
Most items are plausible if used as a player character, but I'd assume most likely are the ones he uses in his boss battle. In part because if he's been training atop a mountain for a while, he may not be high on supplies.
Also, opportunity cost of using X Items, & I doubt Tai & Agumon would let them sit there & set up. (Not to mention many NPCs that do use X Items rarely use more than one, suggesting it's not typical in-universe in-character behavior to use multiple; Red is known as much, if not moreso, as a boss than a player character, right?)

It be funny if this crossover became superior to the RWBY crossover in every particular way.
I don't think that'd be particularly difficult to achieve, especially when the crossover is being written by a guy who's consistently praised for his story telling and characterization of the characters he writes.

No cap, though: I don't mind crossovers, but I feel like there were probably one or two other WB properties that could've crossover with RWBY instead of DC.

By the logic of “whoever powers up first loses” Giorno should’ve won cause Joker switched personas first

Yes, since even the Rematch Gym Leaders/Elite Four of HGSS downscale from Mewtwo and he's >>>> them (or they would, if they had the Key for it...). Red wouldn't be low on supplies in a VS match.

You know, I find it amusing that after so long, Pokemon actually beats Digimon as of now thanks to Arceus' Outerversal tiering.

<_<

How long until Boundless Digimon?

On a more serious note, even if Red and Charizard outstat Taichi and WarGreymon, the Digimon Physiology and Light and Dark Powers of Digimons carry way too many powerful abilities to deal with.

A Versus Match would likely go by Standard Equipment. A bunch of heals & X Items he doesn't normally use would probably be Optional Equipment, I'd say.
If it allows Optional Equipment, then yes, presumably not low on supplies.
But even then, as the boss he's known as, he doesn't use many items.

The first movie was out by the time, so there's that. Plus, wasn't it Greymon that got dunked on by Mega Charizard?

I mean I forgot that HGSS Red would have a 5-B charizard, but Tai's War Greymon is also 5-B and then 1-C in 02? So using their bests at the time, Tai would have just won ig.

Yeah, I don't think it was sincere.
