DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (2024–2025) (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Infinite isn't a Dan Hibiki/Mister Satan-type character, he's actually one of the strongest character in his series. People just find him lame because he's a Modern Shao Kahn tier jobber (also his motivation for destroying the world is that he's salty someone called him 'weak' lol).

But its not like the creators made him look any better in people eyes so Death Battle playing around that is disrespect? They had other characters truly disrespected or done dirty worse

Being a megaman fan in 2024…

The last real game outside of the collections is Megaman 11, and it's already been 6 years!!!! Do we really have to wait for the 40th anniversary now????

Infinite wasnt meant to be a joke, but him being a jobber makes his try hard design & attitude even worse, he is definitely a punching bag. Only Homelander & SF Aquaman compare to being unintentional loser like Infinite.

Is Shao Kahn mocked much in MK community too? That claim seems plausible.

After what netherrealm did to him, its cuz their character chapter system means the character as which the player gotta fight as beats all the rest till over even if its battles on a consistent basis wouldnt happen

Hence why Street Fighter and Tekken do a better job as handling it, even if you win with a character weaker then the opponent, in canon thats displayed as struggling, with the opponent more or less shrugging it off or even ending in a stalemate with both still on their feet

Seems likely.

Curious about users here too, for anyone who here voted WileETom to win, are you disappointed that KratosAsura happens before it?
I wasn't part of the TOC, but I imagine that some would be disappointed by the fact that KratosAsura is happening before WileETom.

I mean TomWileE was the result of fans coming together to get their own MU into the show, is it not reasonable to expect DB to do what the fans asked for? Especially since, afaik, people had to have a tier subscription to participate in the TOC?

I don't want to say anything ill about the team, but I'd make TomWileE a priority to do as soon as possible if I was in their shoes.

On the one hand, it does kinda suck that the runner-up will likely happen before the winner, especially with the campaigning behind WilleTom (still mad about Coyote vs. Acme...). On the other hand, Kratosura is one of the most requested MUs in the show's history, and they kinda need that hype now that they're independant. Plus, maybe if we're lucky, this'll give them an excuse to go all out on WilleTom: we all know what they can do with 2D animated cartoon characters thanks to Scoobage.
