DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (2024–2025) (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

The thing about Afton is that so much of the stuff that's been spread to justify a W has turned out to be either misrepresented or blatantly wrong.

I remember for a while it was "Soul Poisoning", which I think is in reference to a story in which The Agony (which contains Afton's soul, along which several other animatronics) stabbed Detective Larson, and Jake thought the infection could "turn him evil, if it didn't kill him." Maybe this would be interesting if all of his matchups weren't already psychopaths. Then there's the "Pregnancy Hax", which wasn't Afton, just a one-off AI based off of him. Plus it took several days to take effect, and Junko arguably "resists" it by virtue of having a womb. (That's a sentence I just wrote..)

The storm feat is extremely sketchy. That comes from a story in which another one-off character's regret manifests to haunt him, and at one point follows him as a rolling storm. It's never once stated that the storm instantly forms 35 miles across; just that it follows him to his destination for that long. It's also only linked to Afton because technically strong emotions have powers, and Afton has connection to agony. But it is a GINORMOUS outlier for him, and there's no reason to believe his AP scales to it.

I'm also very skeptical about the actual versatility of his "tech manip". He's able to control the OGs because of the spirits of the children inside them, and probably has some control over the ones he created, but I don't see how that translates to him controlling Monokuma. Hell, as The Agony he couldn't even stop The Puppet from tearing him apart from the inside in Fazbear Frights, and that's after briefly gaining the ability to absorb technology. And the Wiki states that "Burntrap is able to remotely control and corrupt technology around him, such is the case of the glamrock animatronics. It is not an ability that Springtrap had, but one that aligns more with the behavior of Glitchtrap." Glitchtrap isn't standard for Afton, and I think it's recently been more accepted that it's not him at all, but rather an AI called The Mimic replicating him. AFAIK it's never been confirmed to be Afton or his soul, that was just the running theory for a long time.

Junko may not be able to kill him permanently (though maybe her Social Influencing could theoretically convince Afton to stay dead), but I don't think he's shown any kind of consistent instant resurrection that would keep him in a fight. His first one took 30 years.

I just don't see Street tier subsonic Bunnyman and his Chuck E Cheese gang beating the near-precog Gyaru with the Building+ level Hypersonic Teddy Bear. A lot of his arguments just seems vague or oversold from casual research. But I'm not a FNAF lore expert, so I could be wrong.

FnaF is cringe. Dragonoropa is even more cringe.
Voting Fnaf to piss off the weebs.

The best VS show with the best research. Wankers (Normal powerscalers) hate it though.
The fact they had Marth beat Meta Knight is Sun Disk levels of bad even if in theory SB is less wankery.

Oh, it seems Omni-Man vs Bardock TN changed? They might end up doing multiple TNs for all future eps huh.

Do we have a fnaf or dangenapa discuss thread?
I doubt Danganronpa has one since the series doesn't really have new content for it (Danganronpa S was alright, character interaction was cool. But people want a killing game)

Unless of course, it exists to discuss fanganronpas...Which in any case may I recommend Danganronpa: Despair Time (It gets really good at Chapter 2), Danganronpa F: Shattered Hope, and Cartoons in Danganronpa (Gravity Falls, Invader Zim, Powerpuff Girls, Making Fiends, Ed, Edd n Eddy, South Park, Rick and Morty, My Life as a Teenage Robot, Star vs the Forces of Evil. It's only on trial 1 and it takes quite a bit for an episode to be made due to having a small team, but its a blast)
