My Hero Academia General Discussion Thread #18

She never said it explicitly, but considering she is literally holding the combined light with her stand and there is a definitive beginning and end of the spear, I’m pretty sure it is solid now.

You don’t have to be a genius to recognize that being able to literally hold the lasers in any capacity means they have to be solid, and Star could not hold them herself without making a rule that she could. Ergo, she must have applied a similar property to allow her Stand to also hold the combined lasers.

That's what she did in the previous chapter with an individual laser beam. She made a rule "lasers are holdable/solid", and we see the effect it has on the laser itself, even bending and contorting while she holds it. The same happens in the recent one - she combines all the lasers and shapes them into a "solid spear of light" the construct can hold and wield.

Neither the lasers in the movie nor the manga were stated to be lightspeed, we need a lot of data for this to work, and the requirements are extremely strict, so I suggest people to not waste their time with this.

In any case, these lasers don't meet even half of the criteria to even have a chance of being considered light-speed.

Nothing stops anyone from making a CRT and talking about the lasers, if you feel that they meet the requirements for it then go away and make a thread.

Might be for the best anyway, regardless of the outcome we'll get the stance on it. But I don't think they'll be accepted as lightspeed, the requirements are strict for a reason.

Just note: You can't talk about the World Heroes Mission lasers, that's still spoilers and it should stay in the movie general discussion thread.

Does it need to fit all the criteria? It fits multiple and there’s nothing contradicting it

What criteria does it even fit? The best I can see is a realistic source, somewhat, since planes with lasers might be reality. But that isn't what realistic source even means.

Pretty sure it has a realistic source, and it reflects in expected instances? Idk abt refracting tho

I’m not really a calcer but I wanted to figure out a way to quantify how much stronger Deku’s physical punches are compared to his air punches. For example, the feat in the movie that was an air punch (oUtLiEr) could be higher if actually done with a physical punch

Inverse square law is the only thing i can think of

Shouldnt Stars and Stripes atmosphere giant generate a large amount of kinetic energy by moving alone? When you consider that Shigaraki couldn’t react to it, and it should be 5000-6000 feet tall..
Ive done calcs on it already and they weren’t high results. (Multi city block to large town)
