Touhou Discussion Thread 3 ⌈Eternal Fantasy Edition⌋

What is happening here man... this is the discussion thread, not whether the spin-offs are canon thread...

Why is Dread suddenly posting about this anyways, is there something going on?
Are you telling me that I need to create a separate thread, instead asking here? Sure.

The argument lacks something, foremost, manga is always a primary canonicity for a medium. So using the appearance or scene from Manga to prove that it exists in the game is bad start since the game always starts the story from Manga and later on add more information/storylines/ and non-canon scenes for the sake of entertainment.

Also move on, I would like to hear the cards' mechanics in the verse (not from Fuji as she is already toxic against me specifically)
Are cards not the same as League of Legends items.?

"The generally agreed-upon definition is that the work by the original author and creator of the fictional setting is canonical, unless the author or the copyright holder declares otherwise. Few other exceptions are also possible and should be noted on the verse page."

From our canon page. The only stipulation is that data books and such are secondary canon, but they very rarely contradict main canon and most are written from an in-universe, main canon perspective anyways. You have no leg to stand on here, Dread.

Non-canon because they are in-game features but in matter of fact, all characters have access to it. Let alone runes, setting and everything.
just more proof dota is superior to lol because theres actual in-lore proof that they have access to that stuff
Spell cards are very much a thing that exists in-verse. In PMiSS it is stated that Reimu invented Spell Card Rules, and that they've been a thing before the Scarlet Mist incident. Then there's also the fact we have an entire in-verse book about Marisa detailing every single Spell Card she encountered because she wants to learn how to replicate them.

All cards since y'all declare it as canon, which means in every medium, they are being mentioned, used and explained.

Jesus.

Should I ask for Dread to be topic banned from Touhou? Since "spell cards are non-canon" is so hilariously wrong that it can't be anything but spite. They're not even physical cards like you seem to think they are.

Anyways, here's Marisa talking about how spell cards exist in-universe. Example 1 of 50 billion.

Also, you've yet to acknowledge this.

Dread, you are clearly asking questions without even knowing where to start. From lacking even the simplest of information regarding the lore of Touhou, to having been so ignorant that you legitimately thought the main source for Touhou was manga, your line of questioning went from innocuous, to a complete trainwreck.

I don't even know where to begin if I wanted to tell you how much you don't understand, and how to remedy it, regarding Touhou (besides telling you to buy the games and play them yourself).

I'm aware this may come off as harsh or aggressive, but I'm genuinely just in disbelief more than anything

You can guys report me in RvR for asking questions, for now I will talk with Shmooply, because he is at least chill. Worst community to even ask, but alright I will keep patient.

I don't see the point in trying to change a verse you are not knowledgeable of when you don't know the basic concepts and terms from that verse.

Neutrals and Opponents should be knowledgeable of the verse they talk about. Or else they'll end up making revisions that easily get disproven with a bit of basic knowledge of the verse.

There are several verses I dislike or hate to an absurd, petty, spiteful degree but I am not going to do revisions on them if I don't know the verse very well. Things like that are what earn peeps a reputation of being petty.

Guys, where did I state that I will change a verse? This became tiring to the point, you guys twist my words.

There is RvR, simply go there and report me, because I won't try to apologize for something I did not say.

Helping Dread with the Spell Card stuff, calm your man-**** everyone.
Just leave it to Shmooply, dumbo

True, shmooply is really chill and nice (and cute), unlike others, who literally were thinking otf topic-banning me (but still offering that I need to ask them anything related beforehand)
