He didn't. If he got hit we would have seen blood on Akainu in the shape of a line indicating sharp objects. he shape shifted his body.He got hit..

@DaReaperMan You haven't answered why didn't Akainu shape shift his body through Jinbe instead of forcing his way through Jinbe when shape shifting through Jinbe is faster than forcing his way through Jinbe and we know he can shape shift his body unless Akainu was too slow to dodge it.

Kaen Daiko Kaido flames heat > Bolo Breath Kaido flames heat. Kaen Daiko was able to burn Luffy's buso, while the latter couldn't do much to pre-hao Luffy.

Nah those gifters are weaker than Perospero, Jack equal. Perospero admitted inferiority to Katakuri and Perospero was not strong enough to be a Sweet Commander.
Kaido was scared of Zoro who got tagged by gifters.

If Pero is equal to Jack I'm afraid that means Pero one-shots Kat, he must have just been fooled by Kat's propaganda like the rest of the BM Pirates. After all he is only equal to Oven.

Nobody is fooled by Katakuri's propaganda when vivre card says Katakuri is the strongest son of Big Mom. Manga says he's the strongest Sweet Commander. Perospero was a bozo in BMP but in BP he was shown to be Jack's equal which shows BMP has higher standard. Place Jack in BMP and he won't even replace Snack. Even King won't even replace Snack given Big Mom was only interested on him due to his race not his power.

Forcing his way in is much slower than shape shifting through Jinbe like Katakuri did. Look at Katakuri when he shape shifted through Jinbe. He instantly grabbed Luffy. Why didn't Akainu do that? Because he couldn't Much slower than katakuri.

Everyone is a criminal. What a poor excuse. Akainu wanted to kill Luffy by forcing his way through Jinbe. Akainu wasn't just fast enough like Katakuri to maneuver around Jinbe via shape shifting.

By your argument I can say why didn't Akainu kill Curiel here? He was a criminal too.
Yet Curiel survived since he arrived for WB and Ace burial.

Why did he spare Curiel then?
Akainu tried to hit Luffy not Jinbe. Jinbe was just a casualty. Akainu wasn't fast enough therefore Jinbe could tag him before Akainu fist hit Luffy. Akainu is not as fast as Katakuri simple.
