"Same here, just without the magic part." Kentoria said, looking over at the man in the mask

"Can you describe our allies to us?"
"All I can say is that they're all skilled in their own right, and some of them would rather me not reveal their identities until you meet with them. One of them is a demon, so hopefully, nobody here has any "problems" with that." The man said.

"I uh, don't have any problems with demons so long as they aren't evil like in the stories or whatever..." Elis said, shrugging as she hung onto the table to keep her balance.

(Waiting for @The_man_with_the_Midas_touch.)

"Yes, they are the real deal, Charlotte... They are all some of the most skilled I could find... That have strength that is within your reason, at least." The man said.

"What's that mean...?" Elis asked.

"It basically means they are the only ones I could find that were strong but also around your level in terms of destructive output and speed... All that stuff." The man explained.

"Aaah, so that means there are someone or something stronger than all of us combined isn't it?" Says Ryu

"This universe is big after all."
"Indeed there are, Ryu. Many are capable of even turning the very world we stand on to dust..." The man said.

"H-How scary...!" Elis said, chuckling awkwardly. She was excited like Phares but realizing there were people who could easily end entire worlds did seem to terrify her.

"Hahaha, I also know just a man that's capable of doing that." Says Ryu as he reminiscing his past

If father would be replaced by me at the fight earlier, he would've slice that thing in half while yawning after all. Thought Ryu

Elis would let out a light shrug as well, the ship slowing down which signalled that they were slowly reaching their destination, Elis shivering a bit due to some of the cold seeping through the walls of the ship.

"W-Well, I'm excited regardless! I think we're close to our destination!" Elis said excitedly.

"That I believe we are, who knows, maybe you'll find someone you "like" while we're here." Kentoria said to Elis, though she was clearly serious about the combat she was willing to take some downtime, which she wouldn't be doing often while she was here

The man sighed, leaning back in the front seat of the ship, manning the controls.

"What is it this time?"
"......." Charlotte looked at the man for a bit, sighing. Slowly, she took out a piece of paper, writing something down on it before handing it to the man. On the sheet, two names had been hastily written, "Phoebe" and "Jacob", as well as a basic address for both of them.

"...If I keep working for you. I want you to send some of my cut back to these two people in the Slums." She said quietly.

"...can you make that happen?"

"And who exactly are these people, Charlotte?" The man asked.

"And who exactly are these people, Charlotte?" The man asked.
"......" Charlotte sighed.

"...My sister and father. My...work in the slums managed to provide for them a bit. But now that I'm gone, they'll need some way to keep themselves afloat." She said quietly.

"...As long as my sister has enough to get by...she won't have to turn to the gangs like I did. I'd like to keep her outta that life." She muttered.

"How sweet. I'll wire them the money." The man said casually, not seeming to really care.

"Though I do ask... If you had family back there, why'd you join up? Why leave them?"

"...I want a better life for myself." She said. Her voice was soft, and sadness crept into her tone.

"...call me selfish. but....I...I wanted at least one of us...to get out of that place."

"Heh." The man chuckled, amused. "I didn't suspect an any less selfish answer from you. Don't worry, I'll wire the money to your family once we finish this job."

Charlotte clenched her fist, but didn't say anything. Slowly, she turned away, barely hidden shame flashing across her face.

"...thank you. I'm....counting on you to keep your word..." Charlotte said quietly.

"Don't worry, I will..." The man said, the ship finally landing.

"Speaking of which... I think we've arrived."

Charlotte nodded slowly. Carefully, she grabbed a cigarette, bringing a shaky hand to her mouth as she began to smoke.

"...Guess it's time to meet the new blood then." Charlotte said, walking away from the man as she prepared for departure.

Elis summoned her staff, gripping onto it out of sheer caution. That last battle had put her on guard.

"Y-Yeah..." Elis murmured.

"Silver, gold, Aluminum, copper, lead, Bendalloy, zinc, pewter, tin and iron" says Rex.

"Not that I'm saying you're bad, but I hope you get those metals right, the last time I tried to use one with the wrong composition, I ended up with a toilet date, jeje."

"Alright! So... Number 47, 79, 13, 29, 82, Bendalloy doesn't have an atomic number..." Elis whispered to herself before manifesting all of the metals that Rex wanted in large chunks, in the purest concentration that she could muster.

"Here you go!"
