Reforged Ideals Game Thread 1

Kyouka hears about the shooting at the White House and decides to leave the city. She notices the barrier of red lightning at the city's edge.

It seems like normal people can walk through no problem. I wonder what would happen if I tried to go through.

She sticks a hand into the barrier to see what happens, if nothing negative happened to her she would continue to walk through.
 
"Indead, well now that we are so far its unlikely for any of the others the annoy us, unless they followed us that is, but thats unlikely. We can probably slow down and have a chat, like about what we think of the others, and making a more detailed plan."
 
"Wouldn't that be against your "time and money" thing? Sure, i am always down to chat and do other things with men, and while i didn't see none of the other people, i would like to talk more about the plan"

Welp, this is getting weird. I will make sure to leave Detect activated in all of this conversatio

Okay, so it looks like there's a barrier around the city. Since no one else has mentioned it, I'm guessing it can't normally be seen. I will try touching it.

I get close to the edge of the barrier and extend my hand towards it.
 
"You know its probably a good idea to have a plan ready for in case one of those others people who came with us tried to attack us, after all we don't know what kinda of powers they have or when they are going to attack."

You get a light shock, and are pushed back. It seems you now know what you need to do to bypass the barrier with the stones.

You are also lightly shocked and pushed back. It seems you have been granted knowledge of what the price for leaving is.
 
"Well, if you say so" Dilma than stopped walking and sitted in a rock nearby them

Charley exited and headed for where Nicholas was in his Godzilla disguise. He purposely walked in a odd way similar to Godzilla hoping people would think he was just joking around as he went.
 
Nicholas was leaning against a building, he was looking around when he noticed Charley.

"Ah, there you are. We should start looking around."
 
"Right, now what you calling me are definitely getting progressively worse. Anyway, besides the obvious plan of kill them with everything we've got. I'm not quite confident against a surprise attacks, my power are straight forward but give me good ranged and close-combat abilities, though I do prefer to use my ranged attacks as the numbers it provides are quite helpful. "hat is you attack strategy?"
 
Kyouka pulls out the stone she got earlier

So I have to sacrifice this thing to get through?

"Interesting, I wonder who set this all up." She says as she attempts to get through the barrier, sacrificing her stone.
 
"Hahaha my dear partner, i can get much worse with my nicknames. And well, it depends on the person. I have alot of variety in long ange and short range, but in all seriousness, i am more the support type. I have few damaging techniques, what i do best is buff you, while i can certainly hold myself in a fight, one could say that i am not the best since my options are limited"

He is problaby trying to discover my abilities and i almost fell for it. He is smart, very smart, but i won't reveal what i can do so early, besides, if he ended up needing my assist in battles, i can just say that i discover that technique now, now that i think about it, he may as well have lied about his powers
 
Crunkledunk goes along with Charley's plan given he doesn't want to risk spending time to build some device to help him turn invisible or cosplay, albeit reluctantly, and follows him.
 
" If the little detective was able to find us, he either had some magical intuition or could tune into our psychologies to see where we would go. Can you do anything along those lines sir?"
 
"I am certain that to find the murderers, we would have to leave this city. As such, we will search the city for anything related to the power holding us here, I do not wish to use up this stone, as it will likely have more use to us in the future." Nicholas replies, he begins walking around the city, using his analysis abilities combined with Elementary to try and find anything relating to the being maintaining the barrier.
 
" The best place to start ,unless you have any other idea, was the place where we were summoned- there might be some clue as to such a being or his power there"

"I have an idea. Do any of you have telepathy or any ability you could use to keep in contact with me outside the barrier?"
 
Seems neither of us want to explain our abilities, seems they trust me less than I thought, I should definitely keep an eye of them for backstabbing. Still for our attack strategy, I guess when can deal with that when the stalker attacks us.

"Right, well the plan when we get Detroit should be to find a small to medium gang their and take them over, it'll be easier to convince them they need us because their not on top, and taking them over will be less newsworthy."
 
"I can make a communication device- I assume that kind of connection is not our super powered selves so we probably could interact." He makes a phone that can essentially be used even in places of very low service
 
"While it is unlikely- there are certain dangers in confronting one of the perpetrators, and as you've said yourself they would instantly recognise you. I would prefer to hear this ones plan"
 
"Sigh (just says it again) well I suppose we should be going as soon as possible and if the moralistic one will go through anyway I suppose it's worth a shot, even though if it recognises us individually it probably is either sentient or works like a computer program that can tell who we all are and requires a stone for each of us, it might assume we are one but that would mean we could just go through without a stone as it would assume we would not be ourselves-though I have an idea to get through myself"

Based on your knowledge of the entity and your understanding of the barrier, it stands to reason it doesn't want to keep you in, but rather to test you. It may also have a stake in finding out your goals, or something similar.
 
Nicholas quickly returns to the group from before.

"It appears the entity seems to wish to test us in some way, rather than merely contain us here. It may also be interested in our goals to some degree. I have one more idea, we need to walk to the barrier first." Nicholas says, getting moving towards the barrier.
 
"Oh! I get what you mean" Crunkledunk then jumps up and kicks Nicholas in the back with the intent to make him hit the barrier.
