Jack's attempts caused Okita to flinch backward instinctively as the magic washed over her, her feather bracelet that Ythala had gifted her reacting. With a glow of pink power, the spell was dispelled before it could take effect.

David eyes glanced towards the man, his muscles tensing reflexively as he closed the distance. They pressed tightly against the fabric of his suit, making it seem smaller than it really was.
"...Nothin' serious. Nothin' worth sharing, anyway. Just coolin' off..." He muttered.

Kiara was simply remaining silent through the conversation, taking gentle sips of beer, her cheeks slightly flushed. She softly placed her glass onto the table, grunting ever so slightly.
"Uhh... I felt really hungry. Like... all the time. I think that... happens a lot when you're pregnant." She murmured, a bit out of it but still cognizant. Didn't seem like she could hold her alcohol very well.
