the lizard doesnt share the same regen as that dog summon. Yeah it doesnt make sense that the lizard was able to overpower naruto. It should be considered PIS. Naruto did state he was getting weaker while Nagato was taking his soul and while the lizard was restraining him. This should acutally show how strong naruto really is since he was against to opponets technically and still put up resistance.
