I was explaining why one argument was better. The joke is I think both arguments are bad, and it’s even funnier now that I have to explain the joke
Even if we take the info as factual, the sensory team are making that claim that in relation to the chakra on earth it has the chakra similar to a small planet. It's just chakra amount on a small planet in terms of peopleit's highkey good supporting evidence tho
If I saw claims like it being its own planet and its chakra being stated immeasurable in a series Id be more inclined to accept the god tiers being 5B (assuming they use appropriate proof for 5B to begin with)
Yep, could be interpreted as Whitebeard having the potential to destroy the society, based on his Devil Fruit's abilities. However, the statement isn't strong enough to fully support a planetary-level Whitebeard. With more solid evidence, I wouldn't hesitate to back that claim.Nah, this is just "it has a lot of chakra" vs a guy being stated to destroy the world. 5-B WB Is more like that Kurama statement.
CopeGran Rey Cero goonery, but for Naruto instead.
....that's why I said supporting evidenceEven if we take the info as factual, the sensory team are making that claim that in relation to the chakra on earth it has the chakra similar to a small planet. It's just chakra amount on a small planet in terms of people
I never said anything about it being purposeful, I'm just saying that they have made numerous mistranslations and that they shouldn't be taken as gospelyou cannot group VIZ as one malicious organisation that intends on plaguing anime with invalid translations,
A lot of the problems I mentioned are more recent, especially JJKa lot of the major issues that used to exist in the early days dont exist anymore,
Do you think someone translating thousands of projects is gonna get every sentence in every project perfect? Especially considering this isn't necessarily an incorrect transaction as orders of magnitude could've been meant to be hyperbolic.the person that translated sakura's novel is Jocelyne Allen and they have experience of working in THOUSANDS of similar projects for years, it's absolutely disrespectful to say they don't know what they're talking about just because someone other person from years ago made some mistakes
I somewhat doubt that they'll respond as they often haven't in the past but sure I can give it to them. AlsoWe can let the translators from this forum decide if it's downright invalid or makes sense because machine translations or dictionary definition checking can never disprove human translators
What are your thoughts? Does it say several orders of magnitude faster?
Uh...heh heh, on the subject of FTL+ Naruto...
ドラッグにより強化された術は、一度目に見たときに比べ、速さも破壊力も数段増しているのがわかった。
She could tell that the technique, enhanced by the drug, had become much faster and more destructive compared to when she first saw it.
And uh, even the initial orders of magnitude statement seems to actually just mean one
「―あまり洗練された姿とは言えんが、ケタ違いに強くなったことだけはわかるだろう?」
―I can't say it's a very refined form, but you can tell it has become of a different order of magnitude in strength, right? (I needed to mention the order of magnitude definition to even get this translation, automatically Chat GPT just says ridiculously stronger)
There will be future upgrades!
Sorry for raining on ur parade even more
Not once in my claims have I said they're perfect, I'm saying as far as human translators go she would be very strong in case of translations and I'd pick that translation over someone putting answers into a machine to cheat their way into translating, something every expert translator agrees isnt enough and no just because you're looking up definitions doesnt mean it doesnt have the same issues as machine translations as they do more or less the same thingI never said anything about it being purposeful, I'm just saying that they have made numerous mistranslations and that they shouldn't be taken as gospel

I think this isn't gonna go anywhere so I'll just put the raws in the translation thread later and we'll see how it goes (although I still fail to see how a phrase can just appear out of thin air if literally none of the japanese words or phrases have that meaning)Not once in my claims have I said they're perfect, I'm saying as far as human translators go she would be very strong in case of translations and I'd pick that translation over someone putting answers into a machine to cheat their way into translating, something every expert translator agrees isnt enough and no just because you're looking up definitions doesnt mean it doesnt have the same issues as machine translations as they do more or less the same thing
What statement do you want me to look at Sparkle
ドラッグにより強化された術は、一度目に見たときに比べ、速さも破壊力も数段増しているのがわかった。
It isYeah it pm says that AP and speed are both amped by the drug several steps. I don't know if that was the scan Test used,
Eh I don't necessarily disagree but does the initial statement even say several orders of magnitude?but either way that sentence is just highkey implies that speed and AP got the same amp anyway, so I don't think this changes anything about the CRT's conclusion.
「―あまり洗練された姿とは言えんが、ケタ違いに強くなったことだけはわかるだろう?」
relativistic kinetic energy for a character with a mass of I assume 70 kg moving at 90% of the speed of light.Do you have a calc for it smalex
That's how Japanese works I fear, there's a reason why they do itI think this isn't gonna go anywhere so I'll just put the raws in the translation thread later and we'll see how it goes (although I still fail to see how a phrase can just appear out of thin air if literally none of the japanese words or phrases have that meaning)
they have weights on no?relativistic kinetic energy for a character with a mass of I assume 70 kg moving at 90% of the speed of light.
That's gonna be like tier 7 fodderrelativistic kinetic energy for a character with a mass of I assume 70 kg moving at 90% of the speed of light.
gimme a bitIt is
Eh I don't necessarily disagree but does the initial statement even say several orders of magnitude?
I'm lowballing extremely. That should be the weight of an average man. If you have the original weight of guy, you can add it.they have weights on no?
weights so heavy it causes a stadium to tremble for a good 3 seconds
I've had that experience with Google Translate and DeepL but ngl Chat GPT tends to give translations that make quite a lot of sense and often line up with that of official translations in cases where that's availableThat's how Japanese works I fear, there's a reason why they do it
If I tried reading the COTE novels with machine translation not a single thing will make senseand I had done that since some people were too lazy to hire real translators for y2v5 and ended up putting raws thru a machine which was such a big pain I ended up reading the summarised version
Should be around 8.13 x 10*18 joulesThat's gonna be like tier 7 fodder
gimme a bit
That's ass compared to where he scales now at like 10^29 to 10^31 joules (dont remember the exact number)Should be around 8.13 x 10*18 joules
Makes sense. Though lowballed the feat, however I think it should still be around the same 10^29 or 31 range. That's ass compared to where he scales now at like 10^29 to 10^31 joules (dont remember the exact number)
I did some gooning with Kid Rock Lee's feat and multipliers and it ended up all the way into mid end Tier 6I'm lowballing extremely. That should be the weight of an average man. If you have the original weight of guy, you can add it.
That's what I was worried aboutSparkle the other scan just says "an order of magnitude" (assuming you ripped the kanji out of the image correctly)
This is where Kido first went V2 and boasted about his strength which is what Test usedbut again idk if there's other instances where the amp is stated or if that's even the scan Test used.
That's what I was worried about

Now it's a little more complicated than just this tho. Since the word that translates to "an order of magnitude" is keta chigai, but the thing is plurality isn't something really baked into the Japanese language, like there's no "s" that you put on the end of words to make them plural, it's kind of context dependent, you wouldn't say "keta chigais" for orders, it's keta chigai for both an order and orders of magnitude. So, it isn't incorrect to translate it as "orders of magnitude" and then with the context of "several steps" interpreting it as several orders of magnitude, as we know that a step/level here is an order of magnitude from prior context. All of this is to say that VIZ's translation of "several orders of magnitude" isn't inherently incorrect, and normally if we just had the raws I'd say stay conservative and treat it as 1 order, but since the official english translates it to several, and that's not an incorrect way to translate it, Test's thread's conclusion is fine.
That seems like a slight leap to say that the levels are referring to the orders of magnitude mentioned at an earlier time but tbh I'd rather not make a downgrade CRT based on language nuances so I'm just gonna leave it, if someone else feels strongly about it they can make a thread about the subjectMy quick translations for Sakura:
ドラッグにより強化された術は、一度目に見たときに比べ、速さも破壊力も数段増しているのがわかった。= She observed that the jutsu strengthened by the drug was several levels more destructive and fast as it was previously.
and for Kido:
「―あまり洗練された姿とは言えんが、ケタ違いに強くなったことだけはわかるだろう?」= I can't say it's a very refined form, but you'll see it is an order/orders of magnitude more potent, right?

You're not a true powerscaler, old testament Arc would already had three rejected threads by now.(just for the record I don't oppose FTL+ Naruto, I just don't want it to be implemented via wonky methods)
VERY badlyBase War Arc Naruto is Packing up BoShippuden Second State Sasuke, huh?
Much like YHWHYou're not a true powerscaler, old testament Arc would already had three rejected threads by now.
Alright, I understand that. I hope we need to discuss things together first before taking action, to avoid repeating the same mistakes. And I want to convey that I agree with Kaguya being 2-C, as Samlex mentioned. You might wanna pipe down on pushing out CRTs, a lot of the stuff you're tryna say we already know and these are things that are either accepted or debunked
If we keep on spamming god tier CRTs 100 times a week it'll make our standing weak, it's best to slowly build up consistency and check if the arguments you are using has been tried before and why they were rejected before
