This is a problem. This should go below the message box, it's absurd.

This too:

we are the same brother

The current 4 ad spots:
1. Above the title of the thread
2. Below the first post on whatever page you're on
3. Above the message box/below the last post of the page you're on
4. Below the "Similar Threads" list

The thing that should change:
Number 3 should be below the message box and above the Similar Threads list. I'm honestly ok with every other spot and it wouldn't lose that much visibility but be significantly less obstructing.

I wouldn't mind having 2 ads just being placed below the "similar threads" section and have the one at the top. Other than that it's just invasive.

By the way, I bothered turning off my adblock to see what ads I'd get, and it fails on PC browsing, only getting blank spaces where I presume ads would be.

Well, I have already sent an email about that logged in members should only get an add at the top of each page and one at the bottom to not interfere with our work.

I don't think that we should do anything about the game ads, since that is a relevant area, but have previously said that we should have no dating ads. The problem is that my friend could not find any off switch for them, which is strange, given that there were off switches for gambling and the like, which he used.

Lord alive lads, it's supposed to be a serious thread. Keep it down with the meme posts a bit, yeah? Constructive criticism is good. This is just, some shit.
TBH it was like one post on my end
That said while I don't mind the adverts I'm noticing they seem to sometimes "cut threads in half"; in the sense there's a gap between texts where you see ads and I've noticed they pop in and out so sometimes it's just blank space.

Not sure if that's happening to anyone else though

Alright, i have used both PC and Phone versions for some time now. The ads themselve arent that bad for me personally, but considering that we are a all age platform, you might want to get rid of all the webtoon and dating site ads. Dating ads being obvious why and im pretty sure that most of those webtoon ads are advertising pornographic webtoons. Other than that i concur with everyone else that the ad spot between thread and comment section is obtuse and dumb, move it under the comment bar and above the similiar threads section. You may consider downsizing the ads for mobile too while we are at it. They are gigantic, even setting aside that my Samsung S10 is more on the smaller side of modern phones. They take half the screen.

Other than that, im perfectly fine with how we currently handle ads, the pc version really just needs it placing realligned. I can definitly see myself running the forum without a adblock.

Thank you for the constructive criticism. I will tell the others about it.

These ads says something about your internet history bruh. Might want to hit the clear button

Jokes aside, what ad service are you using? Google? Or another? Also there should be filter for age based advertising. You should be able to filter them out before it reaches the site.

I think I mentioned this somewhere in the thread already, but if you scroll all the way down you can see that it's using Google's ad service. Though now I can't see it when I scroll down for some reason.

We use Google Adsense, and have already deactivated the most extreme advertisement types listed in the settings, but my friend said earlier that he couldn't find the setting for dating ads. Perhaps he will need to go through more complicated settings to try to get things right?

On google's site it says
Note: Some sensitive ad categories and general ad categories overlap. This means that we may classify an ad in both a sensitive category and a general category. For example, a dating ad could have the sensitive category label "Dating" and also the general category label "Family & Community > Romance & Relationships". In such a case, blocking either category will prevent the ad from serving.
If you've blocked the "Dating" category already maybe try to block the "Romance & Relationships" one as well, and see if that does anything.

here come the double ads (has to zoom out like 4 times just to see the other comment)
They're selling infinity stones? Pog

I believe that's because there's only the one post by the OP. Currently there's always an ad after the OP post and after the last comment on the thread.

My friend replied to me that he will try to get the ads fixed in the coming days when he has some free time. My apologies for the inconvenience in the meantime.
