God to Villain - Steel Hell (RP Thread)

fc6oDbj.jpg

Rain poured to the grounds of Dusk City, the alleyways painted in liquid. Rats crawled through the muck of the desolate region, all manner of scum crawling into the streets of Dusk City to do their business.

And in the deepest, darkest parts of the city...

...

"Engen..."

A man walked into a dark, cold room, a flickering light keeping the room alight. It was empty, devoid of any obvious furniture or anything to brighten the mood. It was akin to a... solitary confinement chamber, cut off from the outside world and any other form of contact.

"I agreed to bring them here because I thought I'd get something out of this. Now, I know you'd never lie to me, but..."

"Quiet, Mujin. They'll come."

With him, stood another. He hid in the darkness, outside of sight, but he domineered over the air... His voice made the space around him tremble, and caused the man that stood before him to shudder, the power seeping into his veins. The man, seemingly named Mujin, shook his head, putting his hands in his pockets, a sly grin plastered across the dull man's face. He breathed out.

The two men, clouded in mystery, awaited their partners.

"You sure they'll come, Engen...?"

"They'll come."

"You said that already, but..."

"I told you to wait, Mujin... No villain worth a damn would pass up a job this profitable. Just have faith."

"Faith in what...?"

"Faith in villainy."

"Having faith in a villain...? Great idea..."

And they continued to wait.

"Mind giving me a briefing on them...?"

"You doubt to much, Mujin..."

"I at least deserve a briefing..."

"....."

"Come on, Engen. A briefing. I need info on who I'm working with."

"...."

"...Please?"

"...Fine."

"Great!"

"...."

"...Mind starting?"

"...Alarak Tal'tharim. A fighter. Previously a rich kid, but kicked out of her household after murdering a servant at the age of 5. Currently a mercenary. Her Soul Edge is called Psionic. Its effects aren't publically known."

"Sounds hard to deal with. Next?"

"..."

"...Next??"

"Michael. I don't know her past. Her Soul Edge is unknown."

"Wish you had more info, but, what can you do...? Next."

"Cato Hyatt. His past is irrelevant. His Soul Edge is unknown."

"....Amazing briefings."

"You wanted information."

"This isn't information..."

"You want it or not?"

"...Fine. Next."

"Zack Johns. Known to the public as the "Painter Master". A first-rate villain, with a versatile Soul Edge that allows him to distort reality."

"Reality Distortion...? Heh. Intriguing."

"It's powerful. It's why I hired him. But it's not all-powerful."

"Obviously. Next?"

"Kiara Merlo. An unknown past, with a pathetically weak Soul Edge. But she has potential. She can grow, if put to work."

"You've always had an eye for potential, haven't you, Engen...? Heh... Next?"

"Antony Collins. Another first-rate Villain. His powers are devastating, uncontrollable, but strong when tempered. He'll be useful for some muscle."

"Is that so...? I'll keep an eye on him, then. Next?"

"Mimic. Once again, a first-rate Villain. Digging up info on him his hard, though. He's never gone public with his skills, and the Hero Association has no file on him."

"He's discreet, then?"

"Very. I didn't have time to do anymore digging."

"It'll be interesting to meet him, then... Next?"

"Finally, a woman known as Tooha. Not a lot of info on her to begin with."

"Haaaa... Well, it's a fine enough briefing. I know what to expect... somewhat, then. I guess we just need to wait, then..."

Mujin crossed his arms, staring at the door as his teeth collided with his lower lip, a shudder running through his body.

"Don't get to excited, Mujin..."

"Oh, I won't... I just... wonder. Wonder who'd join us in this Hell..."

And as such, they waited for the new arrivals...

"Oh, it's not so bad!" Mujin said as he gently took Mimic's hair along with Cato's, "Besides, hair is mostly flavorless. It's mostly comprised of Keratin and other tiny bio-proteins, so get rid of the gag reflex and it's easy to digest."

Zack found this weird, but it was more his concern about what someone might do with a person's DNA, he had seen so many movies that cloning wouldn't really be impossible through supernatural means like SE.

"Good" he said after giving a sigh and handing him the hair

"So what your saying is you turn things into other things? Interesting..." Michael murmured, plucking a hair off and giving it to Mujin

"Well, of course there is! But would you rather me eat any other parts of your body? I think the answer would be no, yes?" Mujin said.

"Well, of course there is! But would you rather me eat any other parts of your body? I think the answer would be no, yes?" Mujin said.
"No that's not- I mean- can't you eat food or something?" Kiara asked, clearly far more fearful with the image of Mujin eating her hand in her mind.

"Well... Yes, but in this situation I specifically need your DNA. To make IDs with your face, names, date of birth... basically stuff that'd be on a regular identification card." Mujin explained.

Michael frowned a bit at that "And if someone doesn't want their name revealed?"

"For me I'd prefer if you do." Michael said, despite her being interested in knowing her own last name, it was definitely not worth the risk of someone she didn't exactly trust yet having free access to it

Mujin glanced towards Mimic, his eyes narrowing slightly, but his uncanny smile still persisting nonetheless.

"I have the option to discard that information from my memory at my discretion. If you don't desire that I know your name."

"...I don't..." Mimic said quietly. His voice was venomous, his hands brushing against the dagger in his pocket.

Kiara looked for any hair that would be easier to pull out, once she got it, she handed it to Mujin. "Are there heroes as young as me?" She asked. "I don't think I can get in if there aren't..."

"...I don't..." Mimic said quietly. His voice was venomous, his hands brushing against the dagger in his pocket.
"...No need to release such a murderous aura, Mimic. I've no intention to steal your personal information." Mujin said as he glanced at Mimic, his smile fading ever so slightly.

Mujin glanced towards Kiara, taking her hair into his hand gently with the other strands. "Your age will not be an issue, Kiara, don't fret."

Mimic continued to glare at the man for a few, long moments, before slowly breathing out.

"****..." Mimic cursed under his breath, his bloodlust becoming more akin to intense agitation. He continued to curse for a few moments, before shaking his head.

"Fine. Fine. But I'll know if you leak that shit." Mimic spat. His hands moved away from his dagger, though they remained deep in his pockets.

"Do you need something to help you calm down before we go there... mimic?" Michael asked quietly
"....." Mimic glared at Micheal for a second.

"...You got another cigarette on you?" He asked.

"There's no need for me to leak your personal information, honest. Though... with your particular Soul Edge, it wouldn't be farfetched for you to sneak in without this particular method, if it'd suit your fancy." Mujin said with a devilish chuckle.

"Of course." Michael said, pulling a pack out of her suit along with a lighter
Mimic hesitated for a moment, before quickly snatching a cigarette, alongside a lighter. He lit the stick, before placing it in his mouth, taking a deep drag. A series of coughs soon followed, the man clearly unused to smoking, yet, he continued to hold it to his mouth.

"T-thanks..." He coughed out, shaking his head. It seemed to calm him down, if only slightly.

Mimic glared at the man, before slowly shaking his head.

"...Infiltration is easy, remaining in the city without being caught is reckless at best. Especially if those bastards have a Soul Edge that could sense me..." He muttered. He shook his head again, seeming annoyed.

"...A forged ID would be...****...it would be the safer option..." He muttered.

"Youre welcome." Michael said before turning to Mujin

"I could probably get in and out easily, even if I get caught, but it is right that forging IDs are a safer option." Michael said

"Heh... Smarter than I thought you'd be." Mujin said, his uncanny smile returning to him. "Though, this does mean that you can't be caught with any weapons on you. So you'll have to ditch the dagger that you keep fiddling with in your pocket."

"Not much. Your names and your date of birth, as well as your face. Anything more I'd need to consume something more... let's say... actually, let's not say, you're quite young." Mujin said with a chuckle.

As Cato listened in with their conversation, he flips through the internet with his phone, checking the news as he remained silent and passive. He slowly glanced over to Mujin, waiting for him to finish the making of these supposed IDs.

Mimic glared at the man for a moment, before taking a breath.

"...Fine, fine..." He muttered. He hesitated for a moment, uncomfortable being forced to part with this only means of defense...before slowly slipping his knife from his pocket. He tossed it to the ground, before kicking some dirt on top of it to conceal its location. He made a mental note of where he buried it, in case he ever needed to retrieve the blade later.

Antony finally gave in and shrugged, reaching through his hood and mask to pick out a single hair, which was colored pure white.

He flicked it over to Mujin.

"Alrighty!... Down the hatch." Mujin said, before swallowing all the hairs he'd been gifted in one gulp with minimal discomfort. "Ahhhh... Disgusting."

"I have. Though, I wouldn't say it's to bad..." Mujin muttered, before shrugging.

"Anyway, for those who gave me their DNA it'll take a few minutes for me to get this done." Mujin said, "Usually, I can only eat one or two things at once, so, this may cause me to puke all over something or someone..."

Mimic took a step back, grimacing visibly.

“Weird ass Soul Edge…” Mimic thought, fidgeting where he stood. He felt more vulnerable without his knife, the man casting a weary glance towards the Hero Association base, before turning back towards Mujin.
