Examining RWBY scaling for high tier characters

8-B justifications.

Vernal one shotted Weiss 8-B summon.

Raven (Without Maiden powers) should be superior to Vernal as she trained her. Qrow is equal to Raven and we saw him trade blows with her.

Leonardo hurt Weiss's Lancer which is 8-B, Oscar is able to hurt Leo and Hazel.

Hazel can one shot Weiss's 8-B summons as well.

Glynda and Ironwood should be equal to Qrow, and Winter fought Qrow.

While I do not doubt it, it would be good if we could find relevant quotes from the show - or feats - that would put Ironwood and Glynda equal to Qrow instead of just saying on their profile: "Should be comparable to Qrow."
 
Ironwood is superior to Winter without question, (He's the headmaster of a Huntsmen Academy) Glynda should be comparable to Qrow since she fought alongside him during the battle of beacon.

I can't think of anything else for them. Ironwood casually killed a Alpha Beowolf which is only 8-C, and Glynda only every "fought" Cinder.
 
I think I'll just start grace now, we have 8 members and two staff on support, and only one staff on opposition.

24 hours should be enough time for more arguments/evidence to be brought up before we start implementing.
 
I'm personally in agreement with WeeklyBattles here. I'm not saying that just to be "nice" to him, but there are other points. Cinder does legitimately have half the fall Maiden's powers and there's also the fact that Raven defeated her. Qrow was also canonically Raven's equal, and none of the students other than Nora's charged attack was ever demonstrated to be on par with professional hunters; especially not serious ones. Gap between students and pros is akin to that of ESU Vader and Sidious.

As for Glynda or Winter, I'm not super certain, but if they're generally portrayed as being comparable to Qrow, they should be fine as well. I trust Kaltias's input best based on who's name I seen in the thread though.
 
Raven never fought Half Maiden Cinder and Qrow only fought a Raven who wasn't using the Maiden's power. Half Maiden Cinder is staying High 7-C, just no one is scaling to her.
 
Basically what Kalitas said. Raven and Cinder would be staying the same, and we don't know exactly when Qrow and Raven's last fight was, as well as when Raven became the maiden.

The gap between 8-C and 8-B is more than enough to support the students not being comparable to the hunters.
 
Everyone else answered greatly but I'll just reiterate; Qrow was only ever canonically Raven's equal without the Maiden powers.

Her current rating has no bearing on any character other than Full Maiden Cinder.
 
In that case, I'm more neutral then, but Glynda and the others shouldn't be That much weaker than Cinder compared to how much they're stronger than the students. If they have there own feats, that are somewhere in between we could use that to scale to them. Also, anyone mind if I edit/remove the derailed posts? I need to get rid of the back and forth quotes at least.

I feel like I should just toss it out there just for the sake of input.

Since Pro Huntsman and those who scale are 8B, should Base Cinder be 8B as well?
 
I'm unsure, she never fought a Pro Huntsmen before and I don't think she's comparable to Tyrian or Hazel. Isn't Cinder like the newbie of the group anyway?

I think she's fine at At least High 8-C.
