This is where you are incorrect because I AM NOT REFERRING TO THE RWBY VERSE.

I said GENERALLY that just because something is light does not mean it moves at light speed as a response to Spin’s comment that because something is light that it must be light speed.

This is my very point, the talk of it generally in regards to "other verses" is unneeded when this isn't the only thing in isolation, there is other evidence coupled with it so focusing solely on that and generalizing is like very much unnecessary imo.

I'm literally meaning bringing up that alone as a general across verse thing not being needed here since its not the sole evidence fornthe lasers here in this instance

that is true. But I wouldn't call them EXACTLY at the speed of light. And since particles are not light, the scan of Penny's beams being rays of light contradicts with them also being particle beams.

I mean I at least know the basis he was operating off of for the statement though since he's the one who brought the evidence as a whole anyways again this isn't just something in isolation here. I kind of don't remember much of the RWBY lightspeed stuff, it's been way too long. So I'm going to be ignoring if the Silver Eyes even fit the requirements.

The calculations in question depends highly on what we assume is lightspeed here. The Silver Eyes magical light... blob thing or whatever. Moves at a far slower speed than the light that brightens up the room. In both cases we see the room gets brighter before the magically light reaches that same place.

There is a difference between the two. And yes, being made of light doesn't equal moving at lightspeed. We have those rules for a reason, fiction is really weird.

For the Amity Arena stuff, I find it highly questionable that such a thing exist in universe. Also, not a fan of cherry picking what we think could be right or not. Considering even the official account says the rest of their information is just shenanigans, I find it hard to trust the game in many cases.

I completely reject the idea of it being a real thing in universe. Character backstories being legit are the only thing I can think of as being alright.

Note: Particle beams are not lightspeed, they move at speeds close to light but never reach it.

This is all I can say about this stuff. I don't have any strong opinions about this.

IDK, although from what I can tell.

Silver Eyes may not be valid based on what Rusty said, and it's being discussed whether or not Photons are full light speed or not.

IDK what people think about amity being canon but it's not like it matters anymore.

This kinda misses the point of the Spider-Droid laser being stated to be a particle beam which is SoL, if all the lasers from Atlas are stated the same and Pennys are also stated to be those kind of light based lasers that more than not act like real lasers as well there is no reason for it not to be SoL.

So no need to bring in other verses, seems kinda needlessly nit picky

I understand that it is completely nitpicky since you're only addressing that alone is isolation to try and talk against it


WoG says all laser weapons from Atlas use the same laser technology

You're going in on the light being light while ignoring the other evidence as a whole is inherently nitpicky when its not some single statement in isolation

It is stated to be composed/consisting of photons or light itself, again by a reliable source.It has its origin at a realistic source of light, such as a camera. (Penny's lasers are called Light and all lasers are like Penny's lasers and they all come from technology)

Furthermore, there are a few criteria which show a beam is NOT real light:

• It is shown at different speeds in the same material.
• It is tangible and can be interacted with physically by normal humans.
• They do not travel in straight lines (unless you can prove refraction/reflection, see above.)

Honestly there's no rule against if a laser can push things with force or can make explosions

Also like given the statements we do have they're all like Penny's lasers that are said to be made of light meaning RWBY lasers have two of three criterias met for light speed lasers

Its just only with Penny blasting away Neo, Cinder and her lasers pushing back that Grimm otherwise her lasers just cut right through things and emit heat and melt stuff, heck in that same moment where she used her laser on that wolly mammoth Grimm she heated up its tusk with a consent blasting of her lasers to weaken its tusk so Ruby can cut it off
