Dungeons & Divers (RP Thread)

"Loooove that energy hun ≧✯◡✯≦, heres your lunchable~"

With a loud thud, Amalie smacks Treasurebox<3 from her back onto the ground, opening the coffin wide open. People looking inside can see a big space, a mixture of armory and... Wardrobe.

"Everyone else wanna take out their portion? ( ˘▽˘)っ. Ya can do it in the dungeon, but don't get hungry during a fight (⇀‸↼)"
"Well, I suppose I could go for something to nibble on. Don't mind if I do!" said the Elf, reaching for one of the various snacks in the open space, and grabbing hold of a meager piece of bread.

"Hm, I will tell ya stories when we're inside (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ. You prolly have your own fair share to share (つ✧ω✧)つ"
"Suit yourself." Demi shrugged as she finished her little meal, "I think they just finished processing all our stuff, anyways."

A pink-haired, starry eyed receptionist walks up to the group.

"Ms. Verd's party! You've been cleared to enter the Dungeon!" She says excitedly, "Would any of you like to leave a will behind for your next of kin before I escort you to the lift? We can have it printed out right away."

"I already handled my will before I left to come here, thank you for offering." Neltharion said politely as she shifted to stand

"I'm fine, I already said goodbye to everyone."

Neltharion sighed "Just because we're going to be heading in and out of the dungeon without trying to clear the entire damn thing doesn't mean we can get complacent." Neltharion responded, looking right up at Erlik with her piercing draconic amber eyes

"This place has taken every Dungeon Diver whose headed in-- it doesn't matter of they were being idiots and attempted to clear it all in the same dive, we need to be cautious for monsters and traps which have taken individuals far more experienced in diving then someone like me. I might be your tank, but that just means my mortality rate just went up quite a bit."
"...Fair enough, you're a wise woman."

"No need in conducting business for the dead. Those who plan on dying don't have business here."

Dakath paused for a moment, thinking back on that day, where everything went wrong. After a second, though, he snapped out of it. “….no, that will not be necessary for me, thank you.” he responded to the woman, his voice filled a noticeable hint of pain and somber.

With his mood thoroughly spoiled, he began walking silently towards what he believed to be the entrance to the Dungeon, waiting alone for the rest of the group to ready themselves.

Neltharion's keen eyes and ears noticed Dakath's tone and shift of mood, but she didn't comment, not yet... no need to trample on memories, and anything an almost total stranger could say at this point was going to be detrimental rather than beneficial. Thus, Neltharion merely made her way over to the entrance and stood at it as well

At first, he thought that he might've had regrets about his journey, maybe a family that was worried about him. But when he denied the opportunity to write a will...and his voice when he said it...Erlik began to stifle a laugh. "What's wrong? No one back home to cry to?" He began wheezing, finding what appeared to be Dakath's loss rather entertaining.

"I could go for something to eat right about now.." Says Demi, despite the fact that she'd stuffed her face and drained her bank account barely an hour ago.
Blythe, who had been silent and— presumably sleeping or just straight up bored from all the paperwork she and Demi had to fill up— would respond:

"Fufu~
"Hm, I will tell ya stories when we're inside (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ. You prolly have your own fair share to share (つ✧ω✧)つ"
"I'll be excited to hear some of it now, but.... I'll take your word for it~" seems like she kinda ran out of 'energy'.

"Do yourself a favor and shut the **** up. I know I didnt ask for the moron gallery." Neltharion immediately said sharply, her tone giving zero room for arguments on this particular matter, and even less room was given when Neltharion brought Scaleshard up to rest on her shoulder, actively making sure Erlik could see the blade

He smiled upon seeing the weapon. "And you're going to preach at me now?" He looked in the other direction, though kept Neltharion in his peripheral vision so he'd be ready to act in case she tried to pull something. "Every dive is just another case of kill or be killed. Anyone who lacks that mindset doesn't belong on the battlefield. And anyone who has it shouldn't be complaining about death like it's some surprise."

"Let sleeping dogs lay. I don't care what your philosophy on the matter is, what matters is that you don't make things worse. The more efficient we are the more likely we're likely to come back from this-- which in turn, makes my job of trying to get us all back in one piece easier." Neltharion responded rather bluntly, her voice displaying no real emotion other than pure and utter disrelish, as if she was looking down on Erlik for making her job any harder

He turned his head back to Neltharion quickly. His face looked more confused or fascinated than anything else. "You actually care for their lives?" He chuckled under his breath. "I can't say the same for myself, but I say we agree to disagree and see who ends up dead." He went back to looking away. "You're intriguing though. And more than that, you seem more focused on this mission than anyone here. I'm betting on you to be an impressive fighter."

Demi found this man continuing to piss her off more and more. Before, it was annoying, but fine... but now, they were just about to go into a Dungeon. She felt several veins nearly pop in her forehead as she grunted, and she stepped up to the man, "Alright, buddy. I'm getting tired of all this bullshit. I tried being nice... but you just crossed a billion lines."

Demiólke cracked her knuckles, and vicious red energy began manifesting around her hands, crackling like electricity.

"Let's take this outside. I'm gonna kill you."

Dan sighed, finished his food and looked at them.

"Should I try to calm them down?" He asked Amelia who was next to him, he was unsure

"Ohoho~! Saving all the fun, just for yourself~?" Blythe would ask, appearing behind Demi as she would pull out spikes from her bony halo.

"If you're going to kill someone, at least tell me early~!"

"...Alright, that's enough."

Basil walked up behind the woman, gently placing a hand on her shoulder.

"You're the leader of our expedition yes? We can't have you getting injured before we enter. Nor can we afford to lose any hands. Simmer down, well you?"

"Awwwh, that's no fun now, is there~?" talking about drama was all her schtick, but Basil being near Demi wasn't exactly a problem.

"Surely you're just as annoyed towards him like she is, no?" asking him as she blinked twice, raised eyebrows and all.

"Death deters you that much too? I see this lot isn't very courageous...Only to be expected though, the first red flag of any leader is a lack of initiative." He was ready to fight at any time, even if Demi didn't let him make it out of the building. He had to be ready for anything. "Well, pick up your feet and lead by example."

"I would suggest that you all cease this now!" Exclaims the starry-eyed receptionist, "Violence outside of the Dungeon is prohibitied! If you want to kill each other, do it in the Dungeon where nobody can prove your guilt!"

Demiólke glances back at Basil with a gaze full of anger, the energy around her crackling a few moments, making Basil's skin tingle... before subsiding, the woman taking in a deep breath, in and out. The receptionist lady was right as well... but Basil's words seemed to have a more long-lasting influence.

"Fine. Just... fine." She said, doing her best to ignore any further taunts by the man. She turned away and began walking towards the receptionist.

"We're burning moonlight. Let's... let's just get out of here."

As this would occur, he would start to see a red blur coming from Demi, as Blythe would snap her fingers....

(This an illusion, just in case you're wondering. But of course, none would know)
"I would suggest that you all cease this now!" Exclaims the starry-eyed receptionist, "Violence outside of the Dungeon is prohibitied! If you want to kill each other, do it in the Dungeon where nobody can prove your guilt!"
Unfortunately, her little parlor trick would have to end there. Not much she could do about it.

"Huhu~ Pretty close...." muttered, licking her lips. Walking to the side and staring at Erlik before turning her gaze to Basil.
"We're burning moonlight. Let's... let's just get out of here."
She would walk along with Demi, like a dog following an invisible leash, whispering to Basil, "You're lucky you aren't at the receiving end~ I would've been most amused if you were~!"

Basil lowered his hand to his side, ringing his palms in an attempt to decrease the lingering tingling sensation that had coursed through his flesh.

"Good. We all have a shared goal here, even if our reasons for being here differ. Let's stick to it." He said. He let out a sigh, his gaze lowering back to his hand. When he had placed it on her shoulder, his fingers had been just close enough to strike a nerve on her neck, if necessary. though he now wondered if he could've actually pulled it off against someone like her.

"Let's hope I never need to find out..." He thought to himself.

She would walk along with Demi, like a dog following an invisible leash, whispering to Basil, "You're lucky you aren't at the receiving end~ I would've been most amused if you were~!"
"Stop stirring the part, will you? At this rate, we'll have a corpse to bury by dawn..." Basil said, glaring over at her. He breathed out, moving his hands into his pockets, before walking behind the two women.

Unfortunately, her little parlor trick would have to end there. Not much she could do about it.

"Huhu~ Pretty close...." muttered, licking her lips. Walking to the side and staring at Erlik before turning her gaze to Basil.
"And you." Demi turned to Blythe, her gaze still hardened. It seems she was still particularly upset about something, "Now's not the time for your crap, Bly... I'm seriously not in the mood."

As this would occur, he would start to see a red blur coming from Demi, as Blythe would snap her fingers....
He teleported behind Demi, thinking an attack was coming...must've been mistaken. Though without any further action, this would likely be seen as Erlik simply irritating Demi. Seeing as this wasn't a real attack, he turned to the one who snapped her fingers, making eye contact with her when she stared at him. "I like this one..." He said before returning to where he was.

"And you." Demi turned to Blythe, her gaze still hardened. It seems she was still particularly upset about something, "Now's not the time for your crap, Bly... I'm seriously not in the mood."
"Okay~ Sorgy, Demi~..." she would try behaving, raising both hands and placing them behind her back, but sneaked a little one when hearing Basil.

"Kuku~ You look kinda cute being all like tha- OW!" before being pulled away by Demi, probably having gone over the way she teased. It's a public place after all. Told ya it's not a good idea.

"You're not sorry for jackshit." She groans out, "You think I didn't see that illusion garbage you just tried pulling? That I didn't feel that guy about to try to slit my throat? Feel free to be a psycho later, but if you keep this up now, I'm gonna really hurt you."

Demi left it at that, and took the lead, stomping down the corridor to where she knew the lift was. Her footsteps left craters in the shape of footprints in the steel. It'd probably be best to leave her alone for a bit.

"Oooooh~ Could I request one with you after~?" she asked curiously but continues being pulled towards Demi, not awaiting an answer.

"Well you can hurt me anytime~" giggling a little, seeing her this angry hasn't happened, apart from the frequent ones where the ending ended up good or bad, or maybe just good for Blythe's own definition.

But, moving on, the lady would keep a close perimeter towards Demiólke, not enough for physical touch but notable to be there for her. Of course, apart from the insanity she possessed, she did have her own way of 'care', walking backwards and staring where Demi isn't facing, keeping quiet now.

"Sigh, ya would think people bond over food, especially if they eat it together =3=. Hmm, maybe getting roughy with each other IS a bond in of itself... Food for thought fufufu~~~ Ah, miss receptionist? A little bit of your time pls ^^? Can ya slide me every bit of info on Starlight avaiable? Any juicy rumors on loot OWO? Any map drafts?"

The receptionist turned to the dark-skinned lady as she lead them to the lift,

"Unfortunately not, ma'am! We wish we could provide more objective info, but everyone we send to gather Intel dies! :3"

"...For the record, I had no intention of slitting her throat." Basil said to the party, clearing his throat as he watched Demi walk away.

"...Would very much like to not be lumped in with folk who spill blood for the sake of it. My techniques are strictly non-lethal."

"Unfortunately not, ma'am! We wish we could provide more objective info, but everyone we send to gather Intel dies! :3"
He opened his mouth and widened his eyes as if he just got a brilliant new idea. "We should send you to get intel next!" He said to Blythe. "A crew of 7 isn't bad at all."

"Wasn't talking about you, dude...." Demi sighed, "Talking about the flamboyant asshat who teleported behind me. You ain't see him try and pull that crap?"
